So I have enough money saved up to buy a Wii, but I'm not sure when to buy it.
1) I could buy it now and get Metroid Prime 3 and/or Mario Party.
+ I'm not a fan of one person shooters but I always wanted to try the Metroid games. It looked fun but I'm not really psyched about playing it. Plus, I'm going to have to get Mario Party sooner or later.
- I don't have enough money to buy that many games right now so I'm afraid if I start of with Mario Party I'll get bored of it since it really isn't a one player game.
2) I could buy it in November and get Super Mario Galaxy
+ It seemed fun and reminded me of the classic Mario games
- I've heard some bad reviews about the game so I'm really not sure about starting off with a possibly bad game. I don't have THAT much money so I may be stuck with it for a while.
3) I could get it in December when Super Smash Brothers Brawl (<333333) comes out
+ I KNOW I won't be bored with Super Smash
- I'm bored of my current games and December is a long time to wait.
EDIT: I was told that Wiis are hard to find... Why? >_> <_< Did they not make enough of them b/c they're so popular or what?

wait till alot of kickass games come out for it. my friend was the first person in line to get her wii and shes already bored with it.
thats what I plan to do [only for the ps3]

I'd probably wait till mid November...because there are always sales starting then for the Holidays, plus then its only a little while that you have to wait. cool

I'd say get it in November, then Super Mario Galaxy combined with the short fun factor of Wii Sports will be enough to hold you over for the almightyness that is Brawl biggrin

I advise that you wait until mid November or perhaps later.
I'm sure there will be sales and maybe free games thrown into a package during the holidays.

Hey, whenever you can find one. I would seriously get a Wii before the holiday season bloodfest begins.

I got my Wii last year the day after Christmas. I will be completely honest ive played it maybe a handful of times. Not that I don't love the system because I do its just there are not many games out for it right now that i really enjoy. I loved metroid prime corruption, resident evil 4, twilight princess, and trauma center but so far those are the only games out that ive played over a year.
My list for the ps3 is even shorter :/

I immediately grabbed up my Wii when I saw a shelf-ful at Costco. Not even GameStop ever had any. You should buy one ASAP if you want one. Twilight Princess and Mario Party 8 are what I started out with and I haven't gotten bored yet. MP8 can be played solo, as evidenced by me when I didn't stop playing it out of the box for like 15 hours.... eek
I don't know how everyone can say that just because there are a limited number of games that the Wii is boring or not worth it. It's not my opinion anyway. I can't wait until I can play Harry Potter with my Wii wand. Hee.

I started out with Twilight Princess and a racing game, and really, its a lot of fun, the reason i dont play it more is i dont get enough free time.. *pouts*

When you see a store with one, get it. I can garuntee (SP?) that it will be sold in the next day or two. That's what happens where I live, & I live in the boondocks! eek My mom got me one a week before my birthday, because they woldn't let her put it one hold, & she was afraid that it'd be sold. So if you see one, get it! xd
