Paradox Project
This was a group Hashi ninja started by Zeno Hashi. The project was so secret not even the leader of the clan knew exactly what they were doing. The group was so obsessed with the project they never passed on their knowledge before their deaths. There have been reports about these ninja teleporting, killing and bringing the dead back to life (just to kill them again). People started believing they were gods until they died (from age). Hashi researched into it as much as they could and realize what the project was all about: manipulating reality. These ninja really tested the limit of their bloodline.
Soujutsu
_______
After the Hashi clan decoded what was left of this group's writings, they realized that the group used the word "paradox" as code to mean "jutsu." The Hashi clan believes there is a list (scroll) of these "paradoxes" but hasn't bothered wasting time trying to find it because they predict the scroll will be extremely difficult to decode anyway. The clan isn't worried about others finding it before them because only a Hashi ninja is capable of decoding the scroll and truly understanding it. The scroll was designed so that it requires level 15 Issekigan in order to decode it. So it will take a normal person (someone without Issekigan) an extremely long time to decode the scroll. Even after decoding the scroll, the user still has to learn/understand the jutsu in order for it to work. Once decrypted, the writing on the scrolls sounds like a bunch of nonsense (after decoding the writing, the user still has to decode its meaning).
A Kashoku leader analyzed Zeno while he was using the Motion Paradox and followed him, then asked him how he teleported without using Enmo. Zeno smiled, said "Issekigan is extremely resistant to illusions. It is... nearly immune to illusions. Movement is just an illusion. I can be anywhere," then he disappeared.
Motion Paradox
HAND SEALS: none
CHAKRA: small
RANGE: long
This is based on the idea that movement is just an illusion. This was Zeno's first jutsu he worked on. The idea goes, "In order for something to move to its destination, it must first go half way there before it can get to its destination. Before it can go half way there it must go half of half way there (1/4 the way). Before it can go half of half of half way there (1/4) it must go half of that first ( 1/8 ), and so on... thus it impossible for something to move to it's destination, therefore motion must be an illusion." After realizing this jutsu, the ninja is able to change the position of himself and anything else just by thinking about it. It takes more focus to "move" other things than it does to "move" himself though. When the user "moves" anything with this jutsu, it flattens into a vertical line and disappears, then unflattens and reappears somewhere else instantaneously. The user must be physically touching whatever he is trying to move.
Grandfather Paradox
HAND SEALS: none
CHAKRA: medium
RANGE:
This is based on the idea that time itself is just an illusion. The idea goes, "What would happen if a man went back in time and killed his grandfather?" After realizing this jutsu, the ninja is able to travel through time. The user will flatten into a vertical line and dissapear when time traveling, then unflatten and reappear in another time.
Spear-Shield Paradox
HAND SEALS: none
CHAKRA: medium
RANGE: close
This is based on the idea that strength is an illusion. The idea goes, "If a spear that can pierce through anything meets a shield that can block any attack, what would happen?" The group came to the conclusion that strength is just an illusion. Once the ninja realizes this jutsu he can directly manipulate the strength of anything he comes in contact with. This jutsu was how members of the group were able to become invincible and destroy anyone they attacked.
Age Paradox
HAND SEALS: none
CHAKRA: small
RANGE:
This is based on the idea that aging is an illusion. The idea goes, "If you traveled back to the past, would you be younger, older or the same age?" After realizing this jutsu the user is able to change his age. This jutsu seems to be incomplete because the purpose of it is to become immortal (age-wise) but the user only appears to be whatever age he wants. Members of the group using this technique still died of old age.
Existence Paradox
HAND SEALS: none
CHAKRA: large
RANGE:
This is based on the idea that creation/destruction is just an illusion. It started from "Everything comes from something else." After realizing this jutsu the user is able to create/destroy anything he sees. Anything he decides to destroy will not exist anymore and anything he decides to create will come out of nowhere.
Hutton's Paradox
HAND SEALS: none
CHAKRA:
RANGE:
This is based on the idea that reality is just a dream and therefore does not actually exist. This is the last paradox to be worked on. It was named after the ninja who started developing it, Hutton Hashi. His writings suggest he was trying to travel to another dimension. The other members thought that was a waste of time, which is why he never finished developing it.
