It had been a while since he had been here...A long while.

There have been many times that Tynan has flown over this deserted part of the city. These streets that had once florished with humans was now nothing more than a ghost town. That had not changed much, except for, perhaps, the fact that some more plants had began sprouting in the cracks of the torn up streets and the crumbling sidewalk. The buildings were empty, dank and dark. Abandoned, broken down cars were still parked in the streets, or at the stop lights. Whenever Tynan flew over this over this shadow of a human community, he always wondered why the humans had bothered builidng and moving in here if they were only to leave? Were they really picky or frail enough to have to move completely out of a city for such a simple reason? Were they really that weak to not protect it? Were they really that selfish as to completely leave it behind after it has been safe for many years? Were they really that cruel? Tynan knew the answer to all of these.

Finally, he landed on one of the old roof tops of a wretched temement, his great black wings with stricking gold markings out spread. The sun was setting at his back, a long shadow clouding the city in darkness. With his sharp, piercing eyes of gold he gazed down at the city, remembering how he hated it all. His talons gripped onto the edge, his muscles tense. The bitter cold wind stirred his dark feathers and chimed his chains of steel. Hatred was set in the griffins expression. He appeared to be a nightmare.

For a while now he had felt that perhaps he could heal, that he could move on. But it was more clear now that it ever had been, that this wish, this prayer, would not happen. It would never happen. Not in his most pleasant dreams would he be able to heal from this pain...

As the sun began sinking into the horizon, Tynan could feel his heart burning with hatred more than it had in ages. It had been a night like this one. A night when summer was fading away and the bitter fall began rolling in. A night with no glowing moon and clouds hiding the stars. It had been a night just like this one. If only he could have saved her...

Tynan stood ontop of that building long after the sun had fully set, letting the painful memories overpower him. He was so lost in thought that he was almost unaware of where he was.

((I hate it when I write a really long entry that is just plain bad. sweatdrop ))

(( I thought it was great. o.o; ))

Shu Fang had been sleeping soundly on one of the roof tops of the buildings. Her head rested on her front claws and her tail swished every once in a while, sweeping up some dust that had made it's hoime on the old buildings. A thin scar was slowly healing on her hind leg that she appeared to be unbothered by. It was normal for a griffin like her to have a run in with unfriendly folks every once in a while. Especially since she was forever searching to put an end to her own pain.

Soft murmurs of words came out from her beak. She seemed troubled and lost by nightmares that seemed to never stop hunting her. The griffin had learned to except this fate for herself. Shu Fang refused to complain about most things after all.

(( Really? redface Thanks. ^-^ I'm glad you think so. ))

Finally, the pair of golden eyes passed over a she-griffin who slept soundly upon the roof top across from him. Was that...Shu Fang? Imitdiatley he lowered her wings, rustling his feathers as he did so. What was she doing here? Curious, he glided over to her silently, his chains being the only sound that rustled the air.

He landed next to her, watching her for a moment with soft eyes. She seemed troubled...Then his attention was drawn to the injury on her leg. A frown spread across his face. He didn't want to wake her up, but perhaps he should. She didn't seem to be enjoying her nap anyway...

Tenderly he nuzzled her neck, trying to wake her in a way that would not startle her.

The female griffin continued to murmur soft words. Ones that seemed to make very little sense, though a lab was continuely mentioned. Her talons on her left claw scrapped against the concrete of the building slowly and quietly as she clawed at the surface with them. Her tail thrashed to the side too, but she seemed to stir as she felt the gentle nuzzling of the other griffin. Her eyes slowly opened. 'Jun...?' However it was not the griffin her mind had registered at first. No, of course not. Jun was dead.

Her eyes widened more and she quicklly stood up and backed away. The griffin had been rather tense for a few days now and did not recognize her friend right away. When she finally got a good look at the other she sighed in relief. "Tynan... it was you..." Now she felt rather silly.

Tynan just watch as she awoke and backed away from him startled. His expression was unchanged, a frown across his face, sharp golden eyes watching her warily. Finally he asked in a soft, concerned tone, "Are you okay? You seem somewhat on edge...Did I startle you?"

The great dark griffin had managed to witness the last part of her seemingly restless sleep. She had definatly seemed troubled in her sleep. Although Tynan could probably guess and knew it wouldn't be the kindest thing in the world to ask, he could not help but wonder who Jun was...He flipped the name repeatedly in his head. He did want to know. He did. But that would probably mean that he would have to-

Shu Fang shook her head. "No... I just awoke from a rather unsettling dream and things have been a bit on the edge lately," she explained and sighed. "It's not you. I mean, of course it's not you. You're probably the only person I've seen lately that is sane and-" she paused and shook her head. She wasn't making much sense and she would probably end up freaking him out. Her ears folded down. "I'm sorry... "

The brown griffin tried to not let her thoughts wander back to the dream. It was a dream the reaccured every once in a while in her sleep. Honestly, she was getting sick of it.

Tynan still wore his frown, his eyes watching her carefully with concern. Then in a soft tone he asked, "Why are you sorry? You did nothing wrong." He paused for a moment, shotting a glance at her scarring leg. Then his eyes looked back at her, intent and serious. "Who else have you seen lately?"

"No one I can really give a name too out of all honesty," she sighed and looked off, her eyes seeming distant. "Just pawns in my targets little game," she clicked her beak in annoyance.

( My post stinks.

Tynan could sense her annoyance and in doing so, seemed to absorb it and morph it into his own frustation. His talons tightened sightly and his muscles were tense. He looked at Shu Fang with a powerful, firm gaze that seemed to pierce into her expressions. "Did they hurt you?" he asked firmly, clearly holding back the frustation slowly building within him, "Who are these pawns for?"

She continued to stare off. "No, well, not in any serious way. I am pretty tough, or at least tough enough in my own opinion. I can pretty much handle myself when it comes to simple "pawns", so nothing to concern yourself with, Tynan." Her tail swished once to the right and she turned her head to look at him. Her eyes narrowed slightly. "... Humans. Scientists to be specific. They're pretty good at convincing kimera's to do things for them while saying they'll give them things they want." She looked off. She should know better then anyone of how manipulative they were... she experienced their trickery first hand. It had coast Jun his life and Shu Fang her heart.

She clicked her beak again and looked off in another direction, as if the sight before her had been something digusting, though it were only her past foolishness that had bothered her. The griffin almost laughed, coldly at it, but held herself back.

Tynan's eyes narrowed slightly as he studied her expression. His thoughts were swirling around within him mind, like a river of throught being twisted into a rapid whirlpool. He swished his tail with slight frustration and annoyance. Not towards Shu Fang but towards himself.

For some reason, he didn't really understand what she meant, which is rare for him when he is around Shu Fang. The idea of kimera being convinced to work for humans was an abstract idea to him. Even to follows of Sarlost didn't directly work for humans, for he knew that their overall goal was for peace in general for all creatures. That did not involve serving humans.

Timidly, he murmered, "I'm sorry...I'm not sure if I fully understand what you mean..." He glanced away, feeling uneasy for asking such a question. He didn't want to push it, especially when he thought that this had something to do with the painful side of her past.

"Nothing to be sorry about." She said, unphased by the other's lack of understanding. "It might seem like theres more meaning behind it, but it is exactly what I say. They worked for humans. These humans were scientists and the scientists asked the kimera to do certain things for them in exchange for something they wanted. However, these humans lied and the kimera got only pain or -luckily- nothing in the end," She tilted her head to the side slightly. "Do you understand now? I'm sorry if I seem to speak of riddles..." She sat down and her tail curled up in front of her. "I try to be as honest as possible, but sometimes it's hard to just say something. I'm sure you know what I mean... or at least I suppose you do..." Under her brown feathers she blushed a bit... Tynan seemed to be able to read her better then many others so.. she often assumed he knew what she spoke about. Probably why she could speak to him about the things she did.

She shook her head and sighed. "None of that is important right now. What about you Tynan? Anything new with you? Pack life must be busy."

Tynan listened to her words very, very carefully. After then had all been spoken and he rolled them over in his mind some he finally nodded and said, "Yes, I understand what you are saying. I just wasn't sure the first time. I see what you are saying, but I still do not understand how these kimera can be tricked in this way. But I'm sure you don't understand either and I probably never will..." He glanced down at the cuffs on wrapped around his talons and said in a softer tone, "And yes, I know exactly what you mean. Speaking what is on one's mind isn't always easy..."

Tynan could not help but feel releaved with the change of subject. It seemed to lighten the atmosphere more. Tynan looked up at her again and gave her a half smile. "I suppose you could say it was busy. Were somewhat separated right now, trying to find a good pack territory that can support more members when we have them. And I belive that Sephiroth his trying to come in contact with Syn....I haven't really seen them much lately. We try to meet up with each other on a regular basis to try and see how our search is going. But rarely are Sephiroth or Axel there...They must have strayed farther away then they had origonally thought nessesary to find Syn." Tynan glanced at Shu Fang's scarring leg again, and debated with himself if he should ask about how it was feeling or not. He didn't want to return to that topic, but he could not help but feel worried...

Shu Fang almost mentioned that she had been one of the ones tricked. Her and Jun, but she didn't feel like giving anything more away about her. She still felt ashamed for being so stupid as to trust those certain humans.

Shu Fang listened in interest as the other answered her question. Their pack seemed quite interesting. She had yet to hear of one like it... or at least exactly like it. "I see. Have you had any luck in finding territory?" she asked. The female's tail twitched a little. "I hear Syn is pretty hard to find... I wonder why is so secretive sometimes, honestly... " She sighed and clicked her beak. "As great as he is... I feel as if he's also hiding from the kimera that need him. I'm sure if you all gathered up together we could stop Sarlost once and for all." She looked to the left for a moment, seeing some sort of flying kimera in the distance fly by. "Not that I think he is doing anything wrong... but I just wonder what his next move will be."

Tynan sat and listened to her words. "Yes," he admitted, "It is hard to find Syn. Very hard. But I can't blame him for his secretive nature. In fact, it is a brilliant strategy in all other aspects except for the fact that none of the kimera who wish to follow him can find him. It makes sense. If he advertises himself then Sarlost's worriors could just find him and overthrown him there. From what I heard, he's doing the same thing Sarlost once did. He's travelling, spreading the word of his beliefs and slowly gathering kimera with him. Once he feels that he has a secure number he'll probably find a secure spot to settle in. Unfortunatly, Sarlost has had this accomplished a while ago and has been settled long enough to become even stronger. I would imagine that even facing her one on one would be a challenge..." From the corner of his eye, he thought he spotted something moving, but he thought nothing of it. He was too wrapped in his thoughts. "I used to be one of the kimera who would travel around with him, but I then left to try and gather more followers. He said that he was going to settle in one place soon, but he has yet to do so. Or at least from what I have heard..." Tynan glanced off to the side, his eyes slightly narrowed.
