Vera meowed happily, nuzzling the sleeping, yellow form of little Haruki as he nuzzled up around his father's leg. It had been a few hours since he had hatched and he seemed to be sleepy and pretty clingy to his parents. This was different for little, Amita, a female sepopard who took after her mother's looks, who was wide awake and chasing her own tail in a circle. The little sepopard was determined to catch the thing before she slept. That was until she tripped over her own two feet. She whined and got up again, deciding it would be better to go after her father's.
Ryu was nuzzled up to his mate, Avani, and never felt happier. Three sons and one daughter. All were healthy, too. He was about to say something until he felt his tail pinched by his daughters mouth. He winced and laughed softly. "I don't know where she gets all the energy..." he said, trying to pull his tail loose.

Avani giggled as well, letting out a long happy sigh of relief. They were all healthy! She rested her head on Ryu. Everything had gone so well...Now they were a famliy! A real family! Her happiness was undescribable.
Shou sat quietly behind Avani's back, watching his sister play with their father's tail cautiously. His head cocked and he blinked at her, as if to say, "What on earth are you doing now?"
Teshi, on the other hand, was 'stalking' Fleta. He would hide behing a tuff of grass or a rock or something and when Fleta strayed too close he would pounce on her! Of course, she new it was all just a game and had great fun in being chased around by the young little serpopard.

Amita let go of her father's tail as soon as she saw Shou look at her. Her ears perked up and she let out some sort of happy squeeling noise that sounded simillar to that of a sound a cat would make. Vera's head turned around to look at Amita after she made this noise, her ears perked up and alert. "Mrooow?" The kat tilted her head to the side and watched as the female sepopard attempted to tackle her cobra brother.
Haruki's eyes slowly opened and he yawned. He whined and curled up to his mother more. He didn't want to get up just yet. It was way too early... or so he thought.
"So.. that's why his egg was smaller then the rest," Ryu said, looking over to Shou. He didn't know anything about hsi family or Avani's for that matter, so it was possible one of them had cobra blood in them? He had never expected this though. Came as quite a suprise.

Shou's hood opened wide like a spread umbrella and he hissed slightly, not in anger but in surprise. In an attempt to dodge her tackle he tried to side step her quickly. Yet, his young, untrained legs did not allow him and he stumbled over onto his side, clearly annoyed with his weak legs. Then he raised his head up to look at his sister with narrowed eyes as if to say, "I meant to do that."
Avani glanced down at Haruki, wrapping her tail around her so that it covered him like a slithery blanket. Her eyes were dancing with joy as she glanced back at Ryu and then to Shou. "Yes, I was worried about him because of the size of his egg, but he seems to have turned out perfectly healthy. I suppose cobra eggs must be smaller or something? But you are right. It is a surprise. I only wish I had know my parents. Then perhaps it would not have been too big of a surprise. But I'm glad. I think it is a very pleasant surprise. I've also noticed that the other three have spikes even though neither of us have spikes of any kind..."
Finally, Teshi was getting tired of the little game her had been playing with Fleta. It just seemed that she was far too fast for him and that in the breakaway chases there was no way of catching her. He turned his attention to his sleeping brother and wondered why on earth he was not awake yet. Then playfully, he lowered his head and began stalking over towards him gingerly.
Fleta saw that the child was done with the game and desided that it was perhaps time for her to go on a hunt or take a nap.

Amita stuck out her snake tongue and hissed playfully at him which was followed by catlike giggling sounds. Her tail wagged behind her and she gave her cobra brother a nuzzle. She might of been wild, but she had quite an affectionate side too.
Ryu tilted his head to the side. The two "normal" sepopard males had simillar spikes while Amita being the only girl had a different kind of spikes. He blinked. "Perhaps it's a new mutation in our breed. Maybe a lot of offspring of sepopards these days are getting it," he had never seen spikes like the ones he saw on his children. Funny, they looked so much like him and Avani and yet had so many differences at the same time.
Vera nudged Haruki a little more. Her tail swayed from side to side. Haruki whined and slowly stood up on his weak legs. He yawned afterwords and looked up to his mother. He wanted food, but was not sure how to say it.

Suoh just sorta lay there glaring out at thin air, filled with embarressment. He just sorta let his sister nuzzle him before finally standing up again with a groan. With his tail he brushed the dust off of his fur. He then glanced at Amita cooly and gave her a slight smile in thanks, even though he was still very embarressed.
"Maybe...Or it could one again be the fact that neither one of us knew our parents..." Avani then noticed Haruki looked up at her and she arched her neck to look down at him at eye level. A smile spread across her face as she cocked her head and asked sweetly, "What is it sweetie? Do you have a good nap?" Then suddenly, from out of the blue, Teshi tackled Haruki playfully. His long snake-like tail wagged happily as he sat triumphantly over him, a proud smile on his face.
((Um...What is the age order of the siblings? @@ I don't know why, but I feel like either Amita or Suoh would be the yougest...Or maybe Suoh should be the oldest. I'm not sure. sweatdrop What do you think?))

(( Souh could be the youngest? =3 Let's see... Teshi, Haruki, Amita and then Souh? ))
Amita squeeled happily and ran away, looking over, seeing her other two brothers playing. She squeeled again and ran over, eager to join the fun. Her tail wagged excitedly behind her as she did, trying to find a good moment to pounce.
Haruki had been about to "say" something to his mother before he was tackled. He cried out in surprise. He looked up at his brother and narrowed his eyes. His snake like tongue came out as he hissed. 'I'l get you next time!' he seemed to say.
Ryu laughed a bit, happy to see his children play. "True... that may be.." he said and tilted his head. He wondered how the whole trait thing worked too...

((Teshi, Haruki, Suoh, Amita? ))
Teshi smirked as he finally released Haruki. He wagged his tail playfully, hoping that Haruki would try to pounce back at him. Little did he know that Amita was planning on doing the same, directly behind him.
Suoh walked up to his father and sat next to him with his neck extended as he watched his siblings play roughly. He swished his tail, his keen eyes watching every movement they made.
As Avani watched them play she giggled slightly as well. "I'm glad we had four," she announced happily, "It's good to see that they can play with eachother in this way. Just seeing them enjoy themselves makes me happy as well."

Haruki got up and got into a position to pounce, his yellow tail wagging behind him. He spring at Teshi, tackling him to the ground. Ha! Victory was his. Until... Amita let out a "battle" cry and tackled both of them. The three of them had formed a dog pile. Teshi on the bottom, Haruki on top of Teshi, and Amita, sitting on the pile of her brother's giggling nonstop. Haruki whined. He just couldn't win at this game!
"Me too. I hope they're always so close too," he said and smiled at his three children that were playing. "They'll never be lonely with a family as big as ours." He looked down at Suoh and tilted his head. "What's wrong, Suoh? Don't feel like playing?"

Teshi lay there at the bottom of the pile, completely embarressed. How could he have allowed himself to lose this game! He was the oldest, wasn't her? He sqermed under the weight of the other two, trying to knock them off, but to no avail. The both of them together was just too heavy. His his long tail, he grabbed onto Amita's foot and tried to pull her off of him and Haruki. He at least, that's what he thought he was doing. The truth was that he had grabbed onto Haruki's foot, not Amita's. With all of his might, Teshi pulled, trying to get "Amita" off of them.
Suoh looked up at his father blankly, his head slightly tilted and his hood slightly flattened. He flicked one of his ears and blinked up at his father in question.
Avani glanced from her playing children to Ryu and Suoh and giggled slightly when she saw his expression. It was cute, even though he didn't seem to be trying to.

Haruki squeaked at the pulling. He made some noises, sounding clearly annoyed at this and he nipped at his brother's ear. Not in a way to hurt him, but in a way to say. 'Cut it out!' Amita giggled some more as she watched, still pearched up on top of her older brothers. Haruki narrowed his eyes up at her. Finally, the young female took a hint and jumped off. Her tongue stuck out and she hissed. If she was a another kimera that would of come out more as a raseberry of course.
Ryu tilted his head to the side. "You don't have to be shy. You're siblings would like you to play with them," He said and gently nudged him. Though,that's when another possiblitiy accured to him. "Though you don't have to of course. Only a suggestion, after all."

Teshi flinched as his ear was bit. It didn't really hurt that bad, it's just that he wasn't expecting it. At first didn't realize what he was doing, but soon it hit him and he released his brother. He was was releaved when Amita finally climbed off of them. Without waiting for Haruki to get off, Teshi found his footing and stood. He took in a deep breath as he did so, his lung finally releaved of the pressure on his chest. Then he looked at his sister, his eyes slightly narrowed in irritation. But when he saw his sister's expression he could not help but give her a half smile and roll his eyes.
Avani looked down at Suoh with concerned eyes. The young cobra serpopard then looked from his father to his mother and back, as if to say, "I'm fine, really. What are you worried about?" He flicked his tail slightly and continued looking up at them with his head tilted.

Haruki fell on his back. He almost started crying because the fall had scared him a little, but he didn't like doing that in front of Teshi. Being the second oldest, he felt he had a bit of rivalry with him already. He stood up, sniffling a little mostly because his pride was hurt a little for not getting up fast enough. Amita came over and gave Haruki a quick nuzzled before starting to run off. She wanted both of them to chase her.
Ryu sighed and afterwords smiled. "Alright, but you're going to miss out in some fun. You have plenty of time to be grown up when you're older, but only your childhood to be a kid. Remember that." He winked and laughed a little. He looked to Avani. "I think he's alright... just mature for his age."

Teshi shook himself off and glanced to Haruki, who seemed to be okay to him. Then as he watched his sister playfully dash away he flicked his tail and a grin spread across his face. He crouched low on his haunches, his paws balanced. Suddenly, he dashed off, running at full speed to catch up with her. Teshi was surprised with himself when he found that he did not trip or stumble over his own two feet, even at this speed.
Suoh just blinked up at his father before looking back at his siblings running around like complete maniacs. Mature? Well, perhaps we was. Or rather smarter. It would only be a matter of time that someone got hurt rough-housing, and he certainly did not want to get involved. He didn't mind a little playing around, but not when it got as crazy as this. Suoh watched his siblings slightly wide eyed with his tail curled around his feet and his neck arching so that his head watched them from only a few inches above the ground.
Avani smiled and snuggled up towards Ryu. "I think he's okay too. We probably shouldn't worry about him too much, right? I'm slightly afraid of being a parent who is overly protective of their children...Although at some point I'm sure it's bound to happen with me..."

(( *thinks all three of her pets with babies are a bit too protective in different ways* xd ; Ryu isn't so bad though...
Should we skip now?))
Amita craned her head around to see if they were running after her. When she saw Tesh she let out an excited squeel. He was running so fast! The little sepopard tries to run that fast too, but was having difficulty. She closed her eyes tightly as if that would help her. He was probably close to getting her now.
Haruki just watched them run off without him. He tilted his head to the side for a moment before yawning sleepily. Deciding that was enough playing for the day, he walked over to Avani and settled himself down. He rested his head on the ground and had his tail curl up in front of him. The little guy yawned once more before slowly drifting off to sleep.
Ryu nuzzled Avani before licking her cheek once with his snake like tongue. "Well I'm sure it will happen to me before you." He laughed a little and "hugged" her with his long neck around hers. "But I bet once will work at it, will just be protective enough."
