For once, Avani was actually buying things at the marketplace. If she actually planned on leaving the Earth Kingdom, she should bring her few belongings with her, as she wasn't quite sure when or if she would return. So Lei had given her a few coins she had saved and Avani had her own and know she was trying to find a pretty and durable bag to carry the small amount of belongings that were laid out on her shared bed back home. And of course, affordable.
She moved from stall to stall, not sure at all what she was looking for, and she sighed heavily. This could prove harder than she first thought.

Namkha didn't know why he insisted on wandering the marketplace when he was stationary. He could usually find enough kindness in people to remain fed, but the coin in his pocket was certainly not enough to buy anything here. He did look at the items wistfully and could sometimes see things that reminded him of a much more wealthy childhood but he banished such thoughts.
What he primarily did was watch peoples' hands. What they touched, what they picked up. He kept his eyes open for fingers of the stickier variety though today had been blissfully slow. No one questioned his presence so he was allowed to leisurely walk the stalls.
One figure that seemed to be wandering almost as aimlessly as him was a young woman dressed in traditional green. She was pretty but looked a bit on the shabbier side and some of the vendors eyed her suspiciously.
He didn't want to suspect her of stealing, but he would rather personally confirm that she was guilty or innocent before a heavy handed merchant accused her. He walked up to the girl smoothly and leaned in to look at the merchandise she was currently eying. "You must have very discerning tastes, miss." He told her with a vague smile.

The black-haired youth started a bit, as a taller man seemed to swoop down beside her. She should have expected no less here in the marketplace and she chided herself silently for not being more cautious and letting her guard down.
"Oh, well...I suppose so," she looked up, and flushed. This man was strange indeed! She'd never seen -anyone- like this here before. He seemed a little darker than here, but not by much, but the rest of him was so bright! He had lots of blue tattoos and orange and yellow clothes. Avani liked her greens, but the brightness of his clothing suited him well. And he was bald, which was very exotic to her. She wanted very much to touch his shaved head, but figured it'd probably be rude.
She sighed heavily. "I don't know what to dooooo!" She could get so whiny sometimes and she was frustrated right now, so she didn't care that she was complaining to a total stranger. "I'm looking for a bag to carry for traveling, but all I have is this!" In her dirty hand that she opened up lay a small palmful of coins, which looked just as shabby as her.

"Hmmmmmmm." He considered at length. "You're not going to find anything here that's suitable. All overpriced with shoddy workmanship. Potentially even bought from ne'er do wells." He bowed politely at the merchant who was fuming slightly.
He leaned back slightly, crossing his arms so that one hand could rub his tattooed chin thoughtfully. He had some experience searching for proper traveling equipment. "If you trust me, I think that you can find something perfect by just looking elsewhere. It may not be as pretty as these examples, but it will be durable and at a fair price."

Avani giggled a little, as the bald man seemed to inadvertantly insult the man behind the shop table. She coughed and pulled her lips into a tight line as the shopowner glared in her direction.
"Well....I guess I could use a little help." Just a little. And since he obviously wasn't from around here, he must have some experiance with traveling, he might be able to help her with other things besides just a bag.
The young woman stuck out her dirty hand. "I'm Avani," she said cheerfully. "So where are we going, if not here?"

The monk accepted her hand and bowed to her politely in the same gesture. There was a glint of amusement in his eyes as his deep bow regarded her as one might a noblewoman. "I'm Namkha, monk of the southern air temple, and I go wherever the wind leads me." He stood upright again. "My final destination is not one found in the physical world, and I know not how near or far it may be."

She blinked her eyes slowly, taking in the strange man once again. Not in the physical world? Was he...crazy? But it probably wasn't polite to ask that.
"Oh..." was all she could say. "So...um..."
There had never been someone that had made her so baffled. Ah well, she just had to deal with what life threw at her.
"Where should I be looking for a bag, then?"
