It's a bad idea to have a relationship with a non-Christian.

Namely because you definitely aren't on the same level in your Christian faith.

My pastor says the same thing. The reason why that is is because its easier to bring someone down then to bring them up. So, if you go out with a non-christian you may be a little uneasy about sharing your beliefs. And your relationship, the more important one, with God will not improve. If you stuck with being this persons friend, then it could be easier to talk to him about God. But being in a relationship with a non-christian isn't a good idea. Even if they seem like the right person. Does that make sense?
