He was large now- compared to the small colt he once was, Ezriel had grown into a near and haunting image of his mutant father, Reaper. His crimson mane flowed and swayed beside him in long locks that could only be compared to flowing blood, his spaded tail was adorned with spikes tipped black along with horns atop of his head. With cloven hooves like the feared kalona and eyes that were voids of nothingness, the stallion was frightening for one to see and gave the appearance as if he was dead or simply not among the living.

As he had grown older, the inner, conflicting battle within had grown and the sides of light and dark had become more fierocious and deep. The voice that had haunted him the day he had broken free from his basket continued and its tone was chilling, eerie yet he had adjusted slightly to its presence but he couldn't help but shiver once or twice.

Ezriel drifted through the tall grasses that brushed against his legs as his eyes narrowed towards the spacious lake that was only a few lengths away. Water- he needed a drink before he would attempt to return back to his mother and see Meera and Dante again.

It was good to have time alone but, deep down, he really wanted to see them again.

Meandering closer, white ears perked upwards as his spaded, spiked tail swayed behind him. That feeling as if he wasn't alone was strong and as he knitted his crimson brows, Ezriel looked towards another male who seemed somewhat mystified and bewildered by the lake. To this he flared his nostrils and jerked his head to the right, watching him and pawing at the ground with a cloven hoof.

No words came from his mouth but lack of expression adorned his maw as he shook his head and continued walking.

This male wasn't a threat.

Approaching slowly and a length or so away from him, Ezriel lowered his maw to the cool water and began to drink, closing his eyes as his devil tail swayed behind him in a slightly menacing way.

* Duncan's ears heard something coming near him as he was drinking he lefts his head to see a another soquili this one was differant from the way he thought the others would look in fact he had never seen anything like the other sallion, the spikes on the nose and tail that was intresting enough but the way the other sallion carried himself, he turned his head to watch him, he saw him looking at him he blinks and watches him more not knowing if it was safe to do so he didn't want to get in a fight with another so soon, hopefully this wasn't the another sallions stomping ground, watching his tail, he blinks again thinking about talking to his sallion before he got hurt*

" excuse me sir I don't mean to bother you, but are a lead sallion?"

The sensation of cool water within his parched mouth put the pale stallion at ease as he continued drinking his fill and, all the while, he glanced towards the other male but drew his attention back towards his reflection within the lake. Standing there, Ezriel lifted his head slightly and exhaled through his nostrils and wrinkled his nose slightly.

He didn't feel threatened, oh no- not at all, but the truth was that he didn't exactly like being stared at by others.

All his life and as long as he could remember, he and his siblings, Meera and Dante, were constantly stared at and whispered amongst the talk of others cocerning the event between their mother and the feared mutatn stallion, Reaper. On his own, Ezriel had come to respect those who looked vastly different and strange highly than others who were haughty and isolated for the beautiful and the simply breathtaking. Neither he nor his siblings could fit the label of 'beautiful' but he didn't care.

Ezriel was himself and he was damn proud of it although he wasn't the type to yell such a thing or act like a pompus, arrogant fool. He was more reserved and sublevel with a mind which was split between the darkness and the light- conflicted within his own self.

He rolled his eyes and began to slowly lower his head back to the cool, refreshing waters until the other spoke which caused his pale ears to perk upwards as his head to turn towards the left and face the unknown stallion.

"Lead stallion? I don't know what the hell you're talking about," he replied low as he knitted his crimson brows and pawed at the earth below with a cloven hoof.

"I don't have a herd- I live on my own. I'm...just a vagrant I guess."

Even Ezriel wasn't sure what to call himself; a loner, a vagabond, a drifter? Everything seemed to match him yet he did spend time with his family and siblings from time to time yet that desire to be on his own, distance himself and stand alone beat strong within his heart.

He eyed the stallion for a moment as he pursed his lips and flicked his tail behind him. "What brings you out here?"

* Duncan blinks at Ezriel then looks away to look at the water in the lake* " well a lead sallion has lands they watch over, they protect the herd from danger and other sallions, where I grew up my father was the lead sallion he chased me away when I was a year old and make me live on my own." * he watches the fish in the lake then turns his head to Ezriel* " I'm here to find my own way of living without my father coming to check on how I'm doing, would you mind showing me around if you have the time, beening new here is hard on me, I have never been so far from the place I grew up before."
PostPosted: Wed Sep 05, 2007 5:19 pm

Silently the pale-ghost stallion flared his nostrils slightly and furowed his crimson brows while his desolate orbs of darkness studied him. In all honesty, Ezriel hadn't quite understood nor been familiar with what a lead stallion was as he often roamed with his family and along with Glamrock and the other unicorns. The absence of a fatherly figure (in truth he did have one but if Reaper found him it was certain that he would seek to obliterate he and his family from existance) hadn't quite taught him about herds or what they were comprised of.

Although Ezriel wasn't seeking for a place in a herd- he was better off on his own. Besides, who wanted to be around a stallion whose very image was horrific, like death or something that was certainly not amongst the living.

"Hmp, fathers," he snorted as he pawed at the ground with a cloven hoof, glancing down towards his reflection that became altered by a small school of minnows and scattered fish that darted in every which way. "At least your father only chased you out- consider yourself that you still have a life and don't have to watch your back."

Oh yes- if Reaper did find that his mother was very much alive and had three offspring, the wouldn't hesitate to slaughter them all.

But as he spoke again, the pale stallion found amusement and chuckled low.

"And why would you want something as horrific, terrifying and strange as me? I don't know what your game is but you'd better damn well know that I can play games too," he remarked with a slight hint of venom as he snapped his spiked, spaded tail behind him and lowered his adorned head of spikes and horns for emphasis.

After so long of hearing of the ill spoken words and rumors that encircled his family, Ezriel didn't open himself to many and kept reserved yet his family seemed to be the only ones who could understand and know him. Even the internal battle that raged onwards was ever more intense with conflict between light and dark and it only became more of a challenge to take control.

Yet even now he could feel that chilling, dark part of him stir.

Pay no attention to this 'lesser', the voice mused with a cool yet chilling tone that caused the stallion to superss a chill or two. His blood is better spilt than the words that spill from his maw.

"Leave me the ******** alone....." Ezriel spoke within the confines of his mind.

I am a part of you- I can never leave. Sorry to dissapoint you, the voice mocked

Ezriel shook his head and glanced back to the stallion, pursing his lips slightly. "I guess," he gave up and flicked his tail to the side. "So, what do you want to see or where the hell do you want to go? That or just follow me."

* duncan watches the pale sallion again and blinks at him when said that he didn't need to watch his back* " I'm gressing that your hate your father, no father should be that mean and try to kill you everywhere you turn."

* Duncan blinks at the sallion again watching him closely* " your not that horrfific the shapeshifters are wrost that you they try to kill you as soon as they run into you, at lease you seem to be safe."

" okey I just I will just follow you." * he shook his braided head to get the bugs from his nose*

For a moment, Ezriel gave a narrowing stare towards the stallion and flared his nostrils. "Hate is a strong word," the pale stallion commented with a low, reserved tone of voice as he fliced his spaded and spiked tail behind him. "But I can say that I really, really, don't like him- I've never met him and he doesn't know that I even exist. What he did to my mother is unforgivable and if he found myself or my siblings he'd lust to spill my damn blood without a second thought."

Reaper.

He hated mentioning the name as it seemed to cause a chill to surge down his spine yet Ezriel did his best to surpress such a sensation.

He found himself getting slightly irritated, riled as he clenched his jaws and unconciously swayed his tail menacingly behind him as he pawed his cloven hoof upon the ground. "Then you've never met a kalona or a mutant I take it? You don't know what you're in for around here," he mused as his ears perked up slightly. Wait- safe? If his orbs could grow any darker and frightening, the stallion glanced back towards the other and let a dark, sly grin curl upon his maw.

"Never judge a book by its cover," he stated with a defined snort and began trailing off into the tall grasses of the plains.

The stallion had said he would follow him so why not lead him around?

His darker half began to douse over him as he began treading upon the lone pathway that led past the lake and through the outskirts of the forest and within the lone surroundings of the open plains. Something- he could feel it. Coursing within his veins and beating within his heart, it was there. He still had yet to gain balance over the internal war that raged within him between light and dark and it seemed futile.

He needed something, someone to save him be it an angel or even an evil angel to help deliver him from this living hell of a world that encarserated.

* Duncan blinks as he listens to Ezriel talk about his father 'that would suck if my father was like that, I wonder why he would do that it doesn't make since " I'm sorry to hear that, I understand. that is true I have never ran into a Kalona but i have ran into shapeshifters, I gress that Kalona are more dangus that shapeshifters" * he then follows him slowly.*

"Any soquili that has acquired a taste for meat or bloodlust is just as dangerous as the next," the pale, ghostly stallion replied as he glanced back towards the male that trailed behind him, knitting his crimson brows slightly as his spaded and spiked devil tail gently swayed behind him. "You just have to make sure you stay the hell away from them and out of their way or you'll be just another damn casualty by their fangs."

Voidless orbs of nothingness and darkness narrowed as the stallion exhaled through his nostrils and shook his head. The day was growing late and already the sun was begining to wane within the sky and slowly seep down beyond the mountains as night began to awaken from its encarceration and once again rule the skies.

Ezriel didn't have a damn clue of where he was going yet he continued to wander around the lake and towards the rolling plains as his cloven hooves simply took him to some unknown and unplanned destination.

"I don't know what the hell I'm doing but- uh, over to the right is the forest- its thick in darkness in some parts but its a hideaway for some. The mountains are moreso home to whoever want to live there like Kalona or Unicorns or whatever. To the west is the ocean and your standing in the middle of the plains."

Simple, sweet and to the point. That was the way to do it- and Ezriel gave a small sigh and rumbled slightly from his chest as he glanced around back towards the long path which he had tread.

Couldn't he leave yet?

He wasn't a social type and was craving, no- desiring to be left alone already to do as he pleased.

Flicking his ears slightly, the stallion pawed at the dirt and narrowed his eyes.

"It's not that hard, you'll...find your way," he commented as he attempted to make a get away as smoothly as possible.

* Duncan nods* " that is very true, I have a good scar from one of the shapeshifters when I was little I got a little to close and got bit my parents freaked."
* he follows still once in the plains he looks around around watching the ways that he pointed he bows his head to Ezriel* " thank you for showing me aroud Ezriel it was very nice of you, would you like to come with me to get a bite to eat?"

The mutant stallion flicked his ears, glancing back as his pupil-less and empty orbs of simple nothingness. For a moment he hadn't heard the stallions comment concerning a mishap with a skinwalker as his mind seemed to become hazy, lost and distant from most everything else as there was something- something within his mind that slowly began to intoxicate him.

That inner darkness, that corruption, was begining to seep within his entire body and countenance like a deadly poison that had always abided within him and now, now it was begining to course through his veins.

He could feel it.

Ezriel knew it was there and the inner battle between light and dark, right and wrong, truth and deciet unceasingly pressed onwards and raged within him. Nothing or no one could stop it- he still had yet to gain control over his conflicted self. Damn! If only he could find that blue mare again! But that was a waste of time and the pale-ghostly stallion was certain that it would be unlikely to run into her again. These lands were unfathomable and vast, and it would be a hell of a task trying to track her down and that was time he didn't want to waste.

But then again what time did he have to save frivolusly or guard? What was so important to him?

He shook his head and snorted through his nostrils, pawing his cloven hoof upon the ground as he wrinkled his nose with disgust and anger. It was confusing- everything was confusing! Nothing was clear anymore; what he wanted, what he was fighting for or against, who to believe- the fine line between black and white had become hazy and blended and Ezriel found the very line within his own soul between the darkness and light to become broken as he had long fallen victim to an unpredictable temper and personality.

For a moment he looked outwards towards the familiar clearing and pathway that led towards the trail through the forest and towards the safe plains where Glamrock resided and, hopefully, his family.

It was a bitter sweet thing; having to be off on his own and running away from himself and those whom he truely loved. Yet there was something that drove him away and that voice, that chilling voice continued to taunt and torment him unceasingly. He could only thanks the gods that he was alive yet the battle or very threat that his life was in danger never did leave and if Reaper did find him then all the pale, mutant stallion could do was to fight for his very existance and life against his own father. And such a meeting would not be welcomed nor would such a battle be pleasent or something to be taken lightly.

Ezriel closed his eyes as a light breeze whisped his long, crimson mane by his feet and caressed against his face with a slightly icy sensation while a shiver ran down his spine. He cringed slightly and shook his head.

Why did this have to be so complicated?

Snapping back to catch the offer of the stallion, Ezriel flared his nostrils slightly and shook his head.

"I- I can't," he replied with a slightly gruff yet reserved tone, eyes diverting off towards the lake and then towards the outskirts of the forest once again. "I need to look for someone- or at least find them before someone else does."

The white, eerie stallion turned away and began walking off, his spaded-spiked tail swaying behind him with a slight menacing swagger. Yet before he drifted off too far, he glanced back towards the lone stallion.

"Maybe another time. I'm not that hard to find."
