Hello to all here.
This is a Sunday School room where we all can talk about Spiritual topics, ask questions about the church, share spiritual experiences and still have fun together while we're learning and growing in the Gospel. This should be a "safe" place to express ideas and ask questions.
The Kingdom Keeper asked me a few weeks ago to be in charge of the room. It seems like the first thing I did was run off and offend a very nice person. Our conversation became contentious and very un-Christ-like. I would like to apologize to that person right now. I also would like to apologize to the rest of you. We get enough grief in everyday life; we shouldn't get any here. I am sorry for setting a poor example and offending any of you. I deleted all the comments on the board that I believe were contentious.
I would like everyone to participate in this room more. I know the primary room is more fun and that's great. It is meant to be. Definitely go and have fun in there. I do! But if you can, take a little time in here as well. Even if you don't want to post, take time to read some of the questions. There is a new topic called 'Spiritual Experiences." If you can, share with the rest of the group any spiritual experience you've had. Even if it seems trivial to you, it still can help bolster others in the group and most likely won't seem trivial to anyone else.
There are some great conversations going lately with Artemis talking about going on a mission, Vinstepula and Babs shared some great ideas about Modesty, The Kingdom Keeper and I were having a wonderful discussion on having your Calling and Election made sure, TravistheAwesome came in with what he called "The Hardest Question Ever" and more and more topics.
If there is a topic you would like to have here, but don't want to start it, PM me and let me know. Also, any suggestions you have...PLEASE let me know. I take this serious and I want to help this be a place where, as the Lord says in the D&C, we all can be edified!
So come on in, pull up a chair as we sit by the fireside and have a great spiritual discussion!
Thanks for listening. smile I hope to read your posts soon! exclaim And please vote in the poll above. whee

Does anyone have ANY idea on how to get more people to come in the Sunday School room more often? How can I get more participation in here?

You know what I heard recently?
Some gaia members said their parents don't let them play on the computer on Sunday. BUT... they ARE allowed to come into this Sunday School room and post here because it's church related. I think that's pretty cool!!!

Here's a little info about me.
I served a mission in Boston Massachusettes, Spanish speaking. I also served in Rhode Island and Bridgeport Connecticut. Due to boundary changes, I ended my mission in the Connecticut, Hartford mission. My missionary experience, while very hard, was probably the most life-changing experience I've had. I grew so much in so many ways. You certainly grow in the gospel, but you also grow in maturity and in many other ways. I encourage all who can to serve a mission to go.
I also am a school psychologist. Basically, I test IQ's for a living. I also diagnose learning disabilities, emotional and behavioral disorders and any other type of mental disorder (like Autism, Emotionally Disturbed, ADD and ADHD, Dyslexia, Tourette syndrome, etc...) I also do alot of counseling. Actually, I am counseling a Gaia member right now. She is in a different LDS guild on here. I am a member of 5 Guilds (4 LDS ones and a Beatles guild) but honestly, this is the best guild. The Kingdom Keeper has done an excellent job of making this a great guild. He set it up in a very clever and organized format. He deserves alot of credit! Also this one has the best members! So all of you deserve alot of credit as well. wink
This Sunday School room is for everyone to enjoy. You can ask questions, answer questions, share your testimonies and what-not. There are some great members who answer pretty regularly in here. Some of the ones who participate the most are Vinstepula, Artemis and Rurouni. They all are very klnowledgeable and have great testimonies. We also get participation from some other great Gaia members.
So, come on in, join the fun and share what you know or ask about what you don't! wink

Ok, so my vote in the poll up on top is a little skewed because I served a mission, but after y'all serve a mission, we'll all be at the same place!

I want to serve a mission when I'm older. It sounds scary but I believe God would help make me brave.

DebbieSue, I know what you mean about it being scary. Believe me, everyone gets a little scared about a mission at times. However, you will do great if you put your faith in the Lord and know He will help you.
The Missionary Training Room Should open today or tomorrow. So make sure you go in there and it can help you oprepare for a mission!
