"Talagand!" someone was calling a name. A little pink and white kitsu darting through the halls and in and out of rooms in the Realm HQ. Six wings beating rapidly as she streaked through the building.
It was the little Seraphim, Aiko. She's grown up quite a bit, and getting rather impatient. She wanted to meet this family that Talagand had been telling her about. He always promised to take her, then something would happen and they wouldn't be able to go. Again he promised, but Aiko wasn't going to be denied again!
"TALAGAND! Where are you?!" Aiko hovered in the air and stuck her lip out in a pout. Well good grief, where on earth could he be?

The harper poked his head in through the main door. He had, eh, gone outside. Reminder of the calls of nature, one could say. Slightly embarrassed though he was, his heart fluttered happily to hear his full name come from her lips and to discover Aiko was searching for him. Pushing the door open the rest of the way Talagand flew inside. "I'm here, Aiko!"
Then he prepared himself for the possible impending air-tackle.

And the tackle surely came as Aiko flew right into Talagand. Her little paws encircling him in a hug. "There you are! You ARE taking me to see your family this time... RIGHT?" Blue eyes looked up at him with firm determination. She was not going to take "no" for an answer this time! She wanted to get out of here and go see new things and meet new people!

"ooph!" His paws instantly hugged her back, the older male smiling at this small pleasure. He would accept every little blessing he could get.
Light violet eyes sparkled at the determination in those lovely blue eyes and Talagand laughed merrily even as he held his heart in check. "Of course, little love! There are kits you must meet, and I must introduce you to everyone!" For while I may never tell you what you have come to mean to me, I would have everyone know you...
Talagand nuzzled her cheek gently. "Are you rested, Aiko? If we go now, we can make the next meal. It's a fair length away."

Eyes widened in joy and ears turned forwards, "Kits? Really?" The thought of having kits to play with made her heart leap with excitement. She giggled and nuzzled him back, "Yeeeess I'm rested... Lets go already! The sooner we start, the sooner we get there right?"
She then let go of Talagand and flew into the air above him, "C'mon c'mon!" Aiko's tails swayed happily, the Seraphim hardly able to contain her excitement.

Smiling the harper fluffed his multiple wings and nudged the door open once more. "As the lady commands..." He said with a bow, learned from his 'uncle' AearHwesta, as he gestured Aiko grandly out the door. Behind him Tal's pastel tails swayed happily.

With another giggle, Aiko zipped out the door and looked around. It was rather warm out, but that didn't matter... she was so excited! She liked to look at the upside of things. "Its so pretty out today!" she commented, taking a breath of fresh air. "Which way is it, Talagand?" she asked him with a tilt of her head, eager to be on their way.

Talagand let the door shut behind him gently as he enjoyed watching Aiko take in the day. "This way." He said, flying up beside her and pointing with a wing. "We have to take the portal between the Realms of the Kitsusagi and Gaia. It is a bit further from there." Smiling he took off at a bit faster than an 'easy' pace, certain Aiko could keep up.

Aiko listened and then nodded, "Okay!" With a quick flap of her wings she quickly took off after him. "What's Gaia like?" she then asked curiously. "Why does your family live there? It must be nice if they do." She easily kept up with Talagand, looking around as they went.

Talagand smiled. "Much like the Realms, really, but with more people, and a greater variety of intelligent creatures other than kitsu."
His gaze flicked to her before returning to their path. "My family lives there, because we are of many species, raised and cared for in one way or another by the same human. We return, because although we are all different we are still family and have an interest in how the others are doing." His eyes grew soft. "We miss each other. Even when happy elsewhere."

Aiko tilted her head as she listened, "So if you miss them... why don't you go back more? Or stay there? I bet they miss you too." Everything was always so simple in Aiko's world... she was so naive. She laughed lightly, "I bet they'll be really happy when we get there."

"Talagand did not look at her as a slight blush darkened the skin beneath his pale fur. "Well... I am in contact with them so it's not been so bad." His blush better under control the male turned and smiled at his companion. "It's been rather hectic there, from what I've been told. And I would have missed you while I was away."

Aiko giggled, "Silly... I could go with you! I'll go anywhere with you. But I would miss you too if you went away." She smiled sweetly, flying a bit ahead of Talagand and then circling back. "But you won't ever go away without me, right?" Aiko couldn't imagine life without Talagand around. She'd known him all her life!

Her innocence captivated him. Talagand laughed. "Of course! I'd never want to go anywhere without you, little love. I promise I will not be so much a stranger to my family, and that you can always some with me to visit them."
He had watched her hatch, watched her grow. Although Talagand remembered life without her, he had no intention or desire to do so again.

"Okay" she said with a resolute nod, "As long as you promise, and keep it." She grinned at batted playfully at Talagand's tails, "So how much farther is it?" her excitement causing her mind to buzz around in all sorts of directions. "I can't wait to play with the kits you told me about."
