This water war was fun, but i learned something important, organization isn't the first thing on ppl's minds.
I propose through this guild we create Durem's armed forces, just incase something similar to the water war ever happens again. (say a winter snow ball war, or next summer's festival))
I beleive there should be several branches.
#1 Durem militia -the average citizen's fighting force, the first into the field, but not as much devotion to full time organization.
#2 The Army of Durem- an organized fighting force of dedicated soldiers that meet at least monthly to discuss plans on controling an opponant given any cicumstance.
#3 The Durem Marine Corps.- The back bone of the durem armed forces, meeting weekly for discussion and light scinario drill (in RP form)
#4The Durem Elite forces- A select group of people dedicated to weekly meetings in this guild that perfect the art of combat in gaia, these will be hand picked from the other Durem armed forces.
#5 The durem Secret ops- The dedicaded few who sacrafice at least twice a week coordinating the Durem Armed forces and make it their personal responsibility to ensure the execution of plans. the secret ops will be at the fore-front of relations with opponants, including stratigic distractions and forming alliances.
This is just my out line, whether it happens or not is up to you, the citizens and soldiers of Durem.

I am the military captain here.
But as long as you don't affiliate yourself with Obsidian Lance (unless I give you the say-so), then I suppose you can go ahead.

We can always re-amp them and combine them, but at the same time they maintain their individuality and they can be devoted to certain fields of the job.

I was asked to head the Military Cabinet when this guild started up, but it ended up simply becoming Obsidian Lance, a team of elite specialists in verbal warfare and intelligence opperations.
I suppose we could use a normal military, as well as the elites. But...I think, if you want that, I will choose a second in command to head it. I can't be expected to run everything.
Lance are my elites. The rest of you can have your own force.

If there's enough interest in this, I'll make an announcement/sticky and look for a commander (yes, I suppose Hiro is the most likely). Then I'll probably let you use the Military subforum.

Obsidian Lance is Durem's Special Forces branch. They're for behind enemy lines work.

Supposedly.- Well, it's up to you what you want to be the head of, but with USSOCOM (United States Special Operations Command) there's a person in charge of that and one person in charge of the Army, Navy Air Force and Marines. And then in wartime there's one general who is the head of all operations for a specific theater.

I would make sense for it to head both but, just have delegated leaders for certain things if this does get bigger. And as of yet it seems we will have to wait and see if interest gathers.
There are things to focus on right now though, with the battle system comin up soon and this whole vampire thing. Not to mention halloween isn't too far off. Maybe we should recruit back at the Durem team Forum at the summer festival
