Ismet had been fairly content, lately - he'd been managing to avoid people almost altogether, with the exception of his guardians. But he could deal with them.
But, unfortunately, that had recently come to an end with the evil place know as 'school'; this were merely a codeword for forcing him into the company of whiny little brats, of course.
It was English class. Ahneta was droning on about grammer and so forth, and Ismet was bored beyond belief. He already knew all of this! Of course, he had a rather large head start over even the oldest of the other children, since he was so much older then him. Unfortunately, even that argument hadn't persuaded the mages to let him perform his own studies in place of school.
Ahneta looked as bored as him.
Leaning forward, Ismet let his head thunk onto the desk, wishing he could just leave.

This was madness. This was torture. This was...well, they called it school. More like 'time to make young children go crazy with boredom.' What had happened to all those days where he could run around in the sun? Apparently those were gone, according to Picia.
Gavin lifted his eyes from his illegible notes to look at the snake boy across from him. How he got paired with Ismet at this table was beyond him. He wasn't very friendly, and he certainly didn't seem to like him very much. And judging from the face-down position, Gavin could guess that he didn't want to be here that much either. Now, if this were Osha they would do something fun like use their colored markers to prettify their notes. But alas, Osha was not present at this table, and therefore, neither were the markers.
Gavin stared at Ismet, wondering if he knew any way to curb the boredom. Probably not, but it didn't hurt to at least get his attention.
"Psssst..." Gavin whispered, trying not to be too loud or else the evil teacher would hear him.

The brat he was paired with was talking to him. Lovely.
Shifting his head (although he kept it laid on the table - and he noted that Ahneta was so bored she didn't even realize) so that he could look at Gavin, he simply raised an eyebrow.
And then, he murmured back quietly, even with irritation still present in his voice.
"what?"
Just let him sleep. Or die.

It was only after Ismet lifted his head that Gavin wasn't entirely sure exactly what he wanted to do. Or why he just woke up Ismet for no apparent reason other than he was bored. In retrospect, sleep would have been the more logical choice. But now that he'd already awoken the snake boy, there was no turning back now.
Pulling the first idea out of his head, he blurted out in a hushed whisper, "Wanna try to get out?"
Get out. That sounded so nice right now. The teacher looked bored enough that they could possibly pull it off if they were subtle enough. Ismet didn't look too happy to be here either. If they put their bored minds together, they could come up with the escape plans of all escape plans. And it shall be wonderful.

Scanning Gavin with a mixture of scorn (attempting to sneak out of the classroom when the teacher was right there was a foolish idea), and some consideration. This class would drive him to insanity within the the next hour, he could almost guarantee; he could feel it.
And he could always ditch the bird once they were outside; it wasn't like it would be that hard.
Ismet raised his head off his desk, inclining it towards Gavins with a vaguely caluclating expression; if Ahneta had been any more awake then her students, she very likely would have realized something was going on.
"Ideas?"
If he didn't have any, no matter; Ismet would come up with something.
