Its that time of year again.
The Students' combined NIGHTMARE.
What is your feelings of the Dreaded school year?

PostPosted: Mon Sep 03, 2007 7:38 pm

That it's going to be another year of hell, and pulling teeth, and frustration, and trying to work with the system again -.-;;

Trying to force my way through a school system that doesn't support someone with a medical problem like mine. And basically trying to make ends meet when it comes to graduating requirements - and trying to get them to let me walk-up.

I usually didn't dread school too much. Summers were so boring - either work or deal with my parents. xp And I never bothered with much schoolwork anyway. I figured that as long as I knew the material there was no reason to take the time for homework. I would make an A on the test even though I never turned in any homework. So I graduated High School with a 1.9 GPA. scream

Then I did 3 years of college, which was neat, because I got to choose my classes, and I generally chose classes that challenged me enough to require homework. Then I started having to take required classes like History and Lit, which we did in High School, and my grades started slipping because I got bored again.

So now I'm a stay-at-home mom. Eventually I'd like to go back and force my way through to a degree, which will be hell, but I'd at least get done with all the school crap. Sort of. I want to get an Elementary Education degree, which would mean I'd still be stuck in school, just on the teaching end this time. That would be much more fun than the learning end. xd

My feelings? I'm sad because like last year, I'm not going. I'm working. Thats what I do for now. I want to get my master's in education, English and creative writing and teach all that in high school.

Yay!! More fun classes! I started last week. This semester my dad and I are taking some classes together... Namely Intermediate C++ and English. Other than that, I'm taking math, and digital photography.

I have to take classes over the summer since I attend a private institution. But I am out next year. Two more semesters to go...

Just a few more math classes and I'll have my Associates in Business Admin through the community college. Once I get that I'll move on to George Mason and get my BS in Accounting. Exciting degree, hmm? >.< I'm gonna be so bored with my career. I don't know why I'm doing it...considering I hate math.

I'm kind of excited, but at the same time...would rather not be working. xd haha. I have only four courses this year compared to the five I would usually take because I'm not sure how universities do things compared to colleges. Playing it safe basically. I'm not a fan of being over-loaded.

I'm mostly excited for club week. heart This girl I met & I are planning on joining the anime club and the geek club (a maybe on that one for me). She suggested I start up a craft/DIY club if there isn't one available, but I'm not sure if I want to do all the work of making a club and getting it registered. We'll see about that one. xd

I've got a nice view of the soccer fields from my dorm room. bwahaha. whee I love having a UPass too (it's included in the school fees), I can get anywhere in the Vancouver area for freeeeeeeeeeee. heart Skytrain, bus aaand the seabus. woooot.

That's totally awesome. I don't know if I'll join any clubs at GMU since I have a feeling most of them will meet in the evening. That's when I work (though I'd love to quit FedEx by the time I go to get my BS) but I don't know if I'll be able to. That and I live about 45 minutes to an hour away from the campus. Don't know if I'd be up for the drive anyway. Ah well. I'll wait and see. ^.^ But it's awesome that you have an anime club! I was in one in high school and had a ton of fun.
