Del sat on a bench watching with interest as the other children and teenagers rode around and performed tricks on their skateboards. She was watching them, studying them, trying to understand how it all worked before giving it a try herself. It looked interesting though she wasn't certain she was built for her. Her tail would certainly get in the way of more advanced tricks though it would give her some extra balance.

Wedged under the bench Echo was keeping a wary eye on a familiar looking Black dragon. It had been a long time since he had seen Keir and he had no clue what the other was up to these days. Likely spending most of his time chasing down his charge like Echo.

Del looked up when she heard her name. she didn't recognize the voice or speaker for a moment then a fuzzy memory returned and she grinned. " Hi Chath , How are you?" It had been a while since she'd seen the other D-corp Kid and he was different now, she wasn't certain how just different. Or maybe she saw him differently now, that had been happening lately.

Stretching from to tips of her fingers to the tips of her tail and toes , Del continued to smile while asking another question." Hey do you do this skateboarding thing often? I think I get it but it still looks a bit intimidating." Del would cheerfully have hanglided again before doing this without some reassurance. Her skin was too sensitive for even the smallest fall not to result in cuts that would be painful for days. If she could learn the best ways to try without a lot of hard falls she's give it a shot.

From beneath the bench Echo ignored the two children's talking. It was shady and comfortably here like a nice cave, he felt no need to move or add his unintelligible grumbles to the conversation.

Del grimaced a bit, she didn't mind pain in return for something but the few cuts she's experienced had taught her that her body did not heal as fast as others and if cuts got bad she got whiny white scars that marred her rubbery gray skin. " Mm I haven't done a lot of training outside of class. Dad helps me work on what i have been tg he doesn't want to mess up what the teacher's at d-corp will teach me. I think a bounty hunter could teach me just as good as they could though."

Once again Del looked at the other boards then at Chath " I suppose I can give it a shot. I can't wear the elbow pads though" She pointed out. much like her back and along her tail Del had small dorsal like fins on her elbows which would prevent her from wearing the pads.

Del took the offered items and began fitting them to her head and knees. It was reassuring to know that she'd have some measure of protection should she fall. That her friend had a first aid kit as well was also helpful in calming her nerves.

Holding the skateboard she still looked a bit nervous " Any pointers for first timers and will my tail help or hurt my balance do you think?"

Del was thoughtful for a moment. her tail was most useful when in water but it was quite loge and swung from side to side rather easily and she could raise it it a decent amount as well. On the other hand it weighed a lot so using it to try and turn and such might off balance her. " Ok slow it is and my tail moves a lot but it's also pretty heavy so maybe iIll just try to keep it still for now."

She took the boys hand and grinned " I'd love the help." Things were going well so far. Chath was also nice and it was refreshing in a way. so many of the kids she's met were quiet or shy or simply disinterested in anything but random subjects. Chath was helpful and nice and actually friendly.

From his position under the bench Echo just sighed, this was going to end in disaster he was sure of it. Still it was nice to watch Del interacting with others again. It was also nice not to have play nice with someone else's dragon just becuase.

Del nodded and followed the advice the newt child gave her. She gave herstelf a light push not wanting to go to fast at first. The rolling sensation was pleasant and she found that by keeping her tail still she didn't really feel off balance at all. " This is kind of fun but if I put my foot down to push again won't get caught or scrap the ground." not to mention that by shifting her weight like that she risked shifting her tail and toppling over.

" Alright, I think I get it" That said Del careful moved her leg and placed her foot down briefly to give herself a small push forewards. Her momentum sped up a tiny bit and she didn't feel wobbly at all unsteady. Grinning she looked at Chath " This is actually kind of fun" It was also sort of a workout to keep the majority of her body still or her muscles tensed in case she needed to make a sudden movement.
