The night was freezing and the large adolescent was sure that he was going to freeze his toes off, his fur was not built for chilly nights, his lineage came from the hot sands, although he was to young to know this he could certainly feel the cold in every part of his body. The breeze pulled at his fur and he could not help but shiver. Never experiencing a cold night like this before he was frightened he may not wake up.
Stepping one red foot forward he continued on, why was it so cold tonight? Had one of the gods been angered and left the world cold? He shook away his silly thoughts and marched onward hoping beyond hope he was heading the right way, of course he wasn't, he'd never find the firekin lands at this rate. Unlike a bird he didn't know where to migrate too.

Her tail cringed at the sheer chill running down her spine. Why did she even venture out of the lands again in the first place? The last time she'd ventured out, she got enslaved by some big pink thing, and then passed on to her older sister ... She huffed angrily as she padded quickly in an unknown direction. Rolling her eyes, she was thinking about the vision she'd had the past few days. One of a lion, a red lion of the blood, possibly? Maybe that was why her mind directed her to this place, on such an odd time of the night. Even she did not know. Clueless, she slanted her eyes and peered forward, seeing a faint figure, a red tint on his pelt.
Had she found what she was seeking?

He thought it almost impossible to be able to hear feet falling onto dirt over the chattering of his maw and bones; but he was hearing just that, Aten was an extrodinary hunter and had very keen hearing. Perking up he looked around, no one would touch him of coure? He was imagining it, but then he heard it again, soft paws against the earth.
Stiffening he glanced over his shoulder and on all sides, he could not see very well in the dark and was suddenly thinking himelf quite silly for travelling at this time of night, but persistence was the only way he was going to get to his home lands, wasn't it?
Pulling all of the courage the stubborn adolescence could he called out to the darkness, "I know you're there, no use stalking me, come out, come out, whoever you are." he puffed his chest out to look larger than he already was and he added a deepened older tone to his voice.

Kiunguza appeared infront of the male, though she had a wide grin on her face. "Oh please, what could a little guy like you do? Anyways, i'm not here to stalk you out. I simply ... came here to help you." The large lioness almost towered over the adolescent. Even though she was weak, she was still of the blood, and grew up around their ways all her life. What could a lowly rouge do to overpower that?
She simply turned towards her homelands and pointed. "This way, Aten." She spoke his name, only because she had known it from her vision. Maybe he wouldn't notice that he didn't say his name? She shrugged and began slowly padding in the direction of the Motoujamii.

A growl welled up in his throat, she didn't know then that he was of the blood and could take her if he wanted. He stiffled a full out roar of anger at her accusations of being small, he was large, much larger than most, but then so was she. His eyes analyzed her and thought her size would make it hard to take her down.
"I'm not going anywhere, where would you have me follow, off a cliff I'd expect?" he barked at her harshly, he wasn't going to be taken advantage of and his mind was moving a mile a minute and it nestled on one point, she'd known his name, he had not mentioned it.
"How did you know my name, stranger? I must warn you I am from one of the greatest prides and you, you don't scare me," he hid his fear well but to the trained nose it would be obvious that adreniline was pumping through him getting him ready to fight if need be. The cold still bit but not as harshly as before, he had more important things to deal with.

She growled lightly, and turned back around to face the grumpy male. "Like I would do that, I simply ... i'm saving you. From the cold. If you can't even appreciate that, then so be it. I don't have to save you. I'll just have to return home and tell daddy I saw some rouges on the borders of our land. Then we'll see what lions will stand. Daddy would send the best of the blood out." She flicked her tail his way, her grin widening.
"How do I know your name ...? Why, the great God, Finar-si told me your name in a vision. She told me days ago to come to this spot, and save a helpless little punk. Though, I'd rather not upset the Gods ... and force you to come with me, anyways."
She came closer, and bared her fangs.

"What Lands?" he shivered involuntarily at the thought of this female sending out lions to deal with him, "I am not a rogue.. I belong in two places! I'm traveling between them, just lost in the dark."
He was frightened suddenly she'd leave and call them and that he'd freeze here, "You're really here too help? And who is this Finar-si?" he had never seen a lioness built like her before, she resembled in a way his mother, she had the reds of his family, could he be nearing the lands? He stepped back at her bared fangs and gulped.

"Why, the Motoujamii, of course. The lands are not the best out there, but at least its far better than nothing!" She hissed, and glared at the male. "If your out here alone without business, then you are a rouge in my eyes." Her ears folded back as she came closer and closer. Her teeth were still showing.
"I was here to help, but I don't want to aid those who question my authority. ... and never speak so lowly of Finar-si. She is the Goddess of Change, the one who watches over the blood of the Firekin. If you don't even know that, then you obviously aren't from around here ..."

"N-n-no, I am Motoujamii, but I--I've never been, you see my mother is of the great Firekin, but me..well I was born in the grave yard, she returned, or I think she did and now I wish to find her and my family," He cowared away from her tucking his tail between his legs.
"I am of the blood, just have not been told about anything, no one was there to teach me, please d-d-don't hurt me?" He pleaded tears threatening to come to his eyes. He was still young and still a boy at heart and it was hard for him to understand such blind hatred for someone that you did not know.
"I am as you s-s-say, Aten son of Chomo and Nuri, brother to the firekin," he added wearily.

"Fair enough, Aten. I'll lead you to the blood. Your not too far off, but it'd be better if you entered the lands with a current member. They've been ... rather protective of the lands, lately." She smiled, and turned towards the lands. "Sorry for ... being a little crazy earlier. I can't really trust outsiders." She sighed, and darted ahead, afraid she had scared the male too much.
"Oh yeah, My name is Kiunguza, i'm ... one of the King's daughters." She nodded, and then turned back around.

THE KING'S DAUGHTER WHAT?! His mind was reeling, he was meeting one of the royalty? Mother was never this harsh, was she? He hadn't thought so. Frowning he darted after her, Kiunguza had promised to show him the way that was good enough for him.
His fear was still there, still afraid she'd harm him, but the thought of going to his mother and father's home? That was too much to keep the large red lion away, he was in it to the end then...hopefully it would be much better once he got there. And hopefully she wouldn't kill him.

She turned back and looked at him, as if he was surprised. "Ah, whats eating you? ... never seen royalty before?" She grinned, and then cackled. "No worry, theres 5 other children of the great Kimeti, though ... I feel like i'm forgotten, sometimes. Thats what happens where theres six children ..." Laughing, she looked around and spotted the area where she'd left the lands, and then headed towards it.
"No worries, we're almost there. My father would love to ... let a previous member return. Hes quite nice about those things. ... or, from what I remember. I only returned a few months ago, myself. I got enslaved by a pink monster."

Aten was just so suprised to be talking to someone that was of the kin in general that he nearly jumped out of his skin when she turned around so suddenly.
"Uhh, well no. I've only met my mother and father, and I have older brothers I've never met..not sure what they look like," he sighed, he knew very little of his family and was thinking that he was going to have a hard time adjusting to these new lions, espeically if they were all like Kiun.
"I was abandoned, or I think I was, she said she was leaving and I have not seen her since," he paused awkwardly, " I have seven or eight siblings."

"I'm sorry to hear that, Aten." She frowned. "Though some Firekin can be harsh to their children, I know for a fact that I would never dare do that to my children. Abandoning is ... such a horrible thing." Even though she didn't see much of her parents, that wasn't their fault, it was her own, for wandering off of the borders as a young cub. Not getting close to her parents, really ... changed her. She still had the striking attitude, but on the inside, knew what it was like to hurt and in the end, had a heart of gold.
She walked forward, turning around and looking at him again. "No worries, we're almost to my den. Its perfectly safe there. You can always greet my father when you feel like your up to it. Of course, you don't have to right away. Just stay out of plain sight in the middle of the day, or travel around with me -- so others don't question you. I can easily get away with things, but ... if any member catches you, theres no telling what they could do to you. There are some Firekin who don't trust anyone." She shook her head with a frown.
"But, no worries, i'll make sure you're safe! So, whats your mother's name? ... maybe i've seen her before."

"Then all firekin are harsh?" he questioned unhappily, this was rediculous, why go somewhere if he was not going to be welcomed without suspiscion! He was born with the blood of them coursing through his veins, surely he looks like them? Has some relation, something that clues them in!
"Nuri," he said quietly," and I'll be sure to stick with you, you hav proven to be a good enough friend, I am sorry to have questioned you."
Do I still want to come with you? No.
As he followed her he continued his questioning, the cold had returned to him and seemed to be peeling away his fur, or at least it felt that way. He hoped that her den was warm, or atleast out of the harsh wind.
