A yawn escaped from the white lioness as Sevati stretched her legs. The sun was up, but she was just shaking the sleep from her features. The sound of the rolling waves could be heard as she slept not too far from the ocean, Sevi loved the water. Lime green eyes turned slightly to see her companion not too far off. Smiling, she got up and went to him, "I see you're back," She paused to look around, "Did you see anyone?"

The large male saw that Sevati was just getting up. He couldn't help but have a smile grow on his facial features. At her question, Ravi nodded. "Oh yes, the main pride is not too far from where we are. I think I spotted the royal family here too...we should meet plenty of members in no time." He flicked his tail, "Let's go and explore!"

His dark coat stood out like a sore thumb along the soft light sandy beaches, even more so because he was huge. Nahodha'kota, had some how from his unknown heritage gained a rather gigantuan gene and indeed his size rivled that even of the largest of firekin. So it was that he padded up the sandy shore in the soft morning light, a dark sillouette highlighted by the rising sun, large, hairy and foreboeding. "A good mornin' to ye folks, tis a braw day fer sailin'" As the dark lion came in to fiull view, it could easily been seen that his maw was spread in a grin, the single pale line which ran up his face in to his manes hair line split at his lips, every inch of his demenour showing he was friendly.

Tilting his large head he eyed the two before him his coal eyed gaze clearly pondering the two lions he found before him on his morning wanderings. Despite not being a part of the sea pride yet, he still felt a sence of duty towards the pride in to which he wished to be accepted so took it upon himself to wander the borders morning and night to check fo unknown faces. "Jus' on me way back dahn tha shore ere, d'ye be a wantin' some fish fer ya brekkist?" He chuckled, he couldn't see any threat from these two. He knew love birds when he saw them.

Lime green eyes spotted the dark figure heading there was as Sevati's tail flicked lightly. Bounding forward a few paces, she smiled to the newcomer, at least they weren't alone! The white lioness silently wondered if this was a member of the pride? She greeted the black lion, "Hello!" And with a nod of her head, "Why that sounds wonderful!"

Shaking his head silently at Sevati, she was always the one who was friendly and happy. Ravi watched the male come into view, taking in his dark pelt. With a friendly smile, he greeted the other, "Good morning! I'm Ravi and my companion is Sevati. A pleasure to meet you." With a nod, he walked towards the male and Sevi, "If you don't mind our intrusion, it would be nice to joy you."

Nahodha'Kota smiled and waved his long black tail showing the only other bit of white which graced his charcoal body. "Na lad thar be pleny 'o' fish fer all." He gave them both a cheery grin his onyx like eyes searching over the two. "Ave ye come ta tha sea fer a reason or are ye jus' ere sight seein'?" He wasn't being nosey, far from it, he simply was curious, he hadn't joined the pride yet but he guessed from the few that were here that the pride was not a very large one, it would probably benefit from a pair of adults. Of course, he and Khepri were technically a pair of adults too. He chuckled under his breath, he sometimes forgot he was no longer counted as a cub or youngster, he was old enough to know better, but young enough to still have fun.

"C'mon Ah'll show ye tha bes' place fer fishin' if ye be new ta tha sport." He gave them both a nod and headed off down the beach with a jaunty stride his large paws leaving marks in their wake.

Padding after the black male, Sevati's gaze landed on the ocean. It was so blue and pretty. At Kota's question, she replied, "We're here in the hopes to settle down here. The pride where I came from kicked my family out...so, my father had met the king here some time ago and asked him if we could reside here. Now, we're just going around trying to meet as many of the members here before we go to see the king again to get permission to stay here." The white lioness followed after Kota, excited about the idea of finding a good place to fish.

Ravi let Sevati tell Kota why they were here, since it was only natural for the lions here to be just a bit curious as to why they were here afterall. His golden eyes kept her in sight while he followed the two. At least he wouldn't be as big of a fool if he didn't catch any fish...since he first couple of attempts didn't succeed at all. He couldn't help but chuckle, "Hopefully that'll make catching the slippery fish easier!"

"Ar tha king be a nice sorta fellah, met im mahself jus' the otha day. Opin' ta join this ere pri' mahself, used ta livin wit a group o lions, gets lonely by mah self ya know?" He grinned broadly and continued on down the beach to a little covelett of rocks. "Tis usually easiest ta catch tha fish that comes in ta tha shallows ere."

Looking to Ravi the dark male chickled. "Tis an art is fishin, ye learn tha mor eya do it." Climbing over the rocks the dark male lay on the stones and looked deep in to the waters, his face for the first time the picture of seriousness. Then with a quick flicker of his paw a fish flopped on to the rocks which he put out of it's misery with a quick bite. "Jus' takes practice."

As they came to the rocks, Sevati remained quite as she watched Kota. Listening to what he was saying, she made sure to take in everything as she wanted to learn how to fish! Nodding her head slightly, she agreed with his words. But, as he pawed a fish to the rocks, her eyes went wide. "Wow! That was awesome!"

With a lopsided grin, Ravi replied, "Yea, I think by going into the water I was making too much noise. At least I got to play!" Had to look on the bright side of things every now and then. The male watched Kota before he saw the fish flopping on the rocks. He crept up towards the edge to give it a try. His golden eyes gazed down at the water, watching a fish swim close to him. With a swift graze of his paw to the water, he caught the fish only to have it wiggle free in the air. "Ah! Don't go away!" He couldn't help but laugh at the fish swimming away. "Yes, a lot of practice...for me, anyway!"

'Kota laughed hartil;y as he watched the fish escape back in to the pools. "Ar, don' ye worry lad time'll improove ye technique. Tis summit tha' only a trained paw can do really, ye have ta know how to convince um to go the way ye want thenm ta. once theys on lan' they're helpless. Kina sad really, but a lions gotta eat!" He chuckled lightly and once again settled by the pool his onyx eyes darting about before he hooked out another fish and once it had been sent the same way as the first he offered this fish to Sevati "Ladies first lad." He grinned roguishly returning once more to the waters edge to hook out a third and final fish which he tossed to Ravi. "Yer bes' not goin' ungry fishin' takes a bit 'o' practice but ye need energy ta do it."

He sat then the ddark form guarding the fish which lay between his paws, his dark tail flickering in to the shallow water causing rippling circles and the odd curious fish to tip the surface.

Lime eyes watched Kota as he gave Sevati the first fish. She was grateful, "Thank you!" And then she went to stick out her tongue playfully at Ravi before eating the fish. It tasted so wonderful, very different than the fish that she ate at her old pride lands. "It'll definitely take some practice, but it looks like fun!" If there was one thing about Sevi, it was that she loved to play in the water.

As Sevi got the first fish, Ravi was taking notes as he studied Kota and how he was catching the fish. It would take a little time, but he'd get it. He would have to, if he wanted to support himself and Sevi afterall! Chuckling softly, "Couldn't expect to be an expert on the first try now!" He nodded before eating his fish. "Did you have someone teach you?"

'kota grinned cheerfully as he nodded to the two. "Ye be most welcome mates." He sat then and groomed inbetween his toes, clearing away the salty water from his fur. "Ye'll be a needin' a long drink after that, tha fish seem ta absorb tha sea. S'why it be tastin so good." He gave a swift nod and flickered his long tail before answering Ravi's question. "Na lad I taught me self, had ta, tha sea she called to me all me life an' when I got 'ere tha sea tol' me where tha food was, or should I say I saw it a glistenin on tha waves." He chuckles softly. "Tha seas a mighty generous mistress, she looks after ye if yer willin ta take lessons from 'er."

Nodding her head, Sevi listened to Kota. "The fish from where I am from have a different taste than this fish. And, the sea is so much larger than the lake I used to live next to." Though, Kota's words caught her attention. She was amazed that he learned how to fish all on his own! "Wow, that is awesome! I remember my Dad teaching me how to hunt for the first time, that was quite the adventure, I'd say. But to learn by the help of the sea, that's impressive!"

Licking the rest of the fish off his muzzle and paws, Ravi was content. It was a delicious meal, and it made Sevi very happy...like, she was getting part of her cubhood back afterall! He couldn't help but smile slightly at her. He turned to the dark lion, "I can't say there's much water in the desert. All I had growing up was heat and sand. Which is probably why Sevi likes to watch me try to learn how to fish since she does it better than I can." While most males would be ashamed that a female can hunt better than them, he had no such feelings on the matter. In fact, it was something he was proud of.

Grinning rougishly the coal black male got to his paws and shook out his dark mane. "Sand hmm? well thar be pleny 'o' sand ere but taint like tha desert, a lady frien' o mine tol' me of a really big desert once twas tha pri' whar she came from. Sounded ta me like a difficult place ta live. I bin lucky spent mah life in that pri' lan's til I cam ta tha shore. Any ways used ta tha dry or no, tha salt takes tha water away, ah'll show ye where tha fresh water ghaters then leave ya be, tha main pri's oer in that direction, ye can usually fin' tha king or one o is relatives floatin about."

He stood then and turned towards a gaggle of rocks further up the beach, it was the only place, at least that he knew of, that provided fresh water to drink. Living off of salty fish dried the throat like nothing else and if you wern't used to it it could be quite unpleasent to feel the salty thirst.

Perking up, Sevati stood up ready to follow Kota to fresh water. Whenever she or Ravi needed a drink, they had to go somewhere farther away from the shore as they haven't found any fresh water here yet. Though, it would make sense to her to have the King near the fresh water source. That's how it was at the Mistweaver's lands...the "king" guarded the fresh water. "I wasn't sure where there was fresh water here, since we haven't had that much time to investigate the area."

Ravi replied, "The desert is certainly not a friendly place to live, it's very harsh and uncaring...unlike the sea here." He did not miss the desert at all, it was all full of bad memories. "We've been traveling a bit off the shore to find water, since we didn't know where there was fresh water here. But, it'll be nice to know of a place close by so we won't have to travel." He nodded, happy for the help they were getting from this male.

'kota grinned and looked back at the two, "aye thar be fresh water if ye be knowin whar to look." Padding up the sandy beach the large dark male leapt up the rocks following a small line of rock pools until he came to one which lay below a slight over hang. Pointing his nose to the water, he smiled and tipped his head. "Tha water from tha rains pours off the rocks and pools here, tha water ere is fresh as inlands, prolly fresher, it aint been sat in by elephants." he chuckles and tips his head to take a lap of water before stretching out his large heavily mucled body and giving a yawn. "Welp, ah'll be a biddin ye fare well mates, I cana stand when tha suns to 'igh, ats the problem wit paddin' about in black ye get mighty 'ot mighty quick." He chuckled cheerily and turned his back to leave, pausing for a moment he gave them both a quick roguish wink. "If ye need any more 'elp jus' call I'm just bout always around."

The white lioness made sure to remember the route to get to the fresh water. Sevati took in everything as she flicked her tail. Oh? It rains here! Well, there she goes, learning something new every day! She bent down to lap up some fresh water, as the salt was starting to get to her. As she raised her head, she winked back to Kota, "Thank you for your help! I do hope the sea brings you much happiness and that we run into one another again!"

He bent down to take a large drink of water, the salty ocean sure did make one thirsty. A different kind of thirst from the desert too. Ravi was grateful for the male's help. He dipped his head appreciately, "You've been very helpful and I should hope we see more of you in the future!" He gave Kota a large smile, happy to run into more lions here at the ocean.
