Being a socialist myself, and for lack of a better topic, I want to see Washington's take on the subject. If any one actually comes to this dead forum please feel free to debate.

Socialist and proud! At least the idea... socializing our government would work if everyone weren't dorkfishes and would get off their butts and do something without whining about it. If all of us cared, if all of us were responsible, then yes, we should set up a socialist government. Full-fledged communism would take a perfect society to work.
For everything else, theres Visa. Seriously... in a sense. Capitalism is what we need in an imperfect world even though ironically it fuels it's own little problems with the imperfect people- but sence we're so impotent anything will present a problem and it's more about which poses less of a problem- and that would be capitalism.
Government though... Republic. Not exactly Republicans but a plain Jane Republic- without any silly factions. I believe strongly that the propaganda and drama that comes out of (all) their biased, emotion-based, people-pleasing junk kills good leaders that may rise up but aren't funded by the majority's favourite party because of their selfishness- it puts them in too much control and has a bigger chance of corruption, pig-headedness and overall darkness in our system.
As for the Republic idea keep in mind that America is a Republic, not a Democracy in the *real* sence.
