Nhadala had been very lonely for quite some months now. It seemed that Shouko has become so busy with her primary job that she didn't have much time to come visit the poor Vale. Instead she would send over some lackey of hers to take notes on her and drop off books. Why was her mother so busy that she could not even come over and say hello?

Nhadala was so close to loosing the thought of seeing her again, until one day, as if out of a dream, she appeared to her. Nhadala was so happy to see her mother again she had taken to latching to her like a small child. It was kinda unfitting for a woman her age, but in that instant she didn't care. She was quietly escorted out to the greenhouse by her mother so they could spend a little time together (granted most of it would be Shouko just taking readings on the poor girl).

Emily sighed, running her fingers through her thick hair. Now where did those damn keys get too? She was finally let off her shift and was just a few feet away from home free, when she reached into her pocket only to find it utterly empty.

She knew she had them when she entered. I mean, how else had she gotten there in the first place? The only problem now, was where did she leave them here? The place was so big, too.

Working her bottom lip in between her lip, she peaked her head around corners in hallways, and scurried down the pathway towards the green houses in a desperate attempt to remember which ones she had slipped into for the day, and which she could have possibly left her keys in.

As Nhadala and Shouko approached the Greenhouse, Nhadala spotted something rather dazzling glinting on the floor of grass. She let go of Shouko for a moment to neal down and pick it up. It was a set of shiny keys she had found, and she jingled them thoughtfully not knowing exactly what they were.

"Nhadala what are you doing?" Shouko muttered, turning when she realized the woman was not by her side. She frowned a bit realizing what the Vale had in her grasp. "Where did you find those, Nhadala? They must belong to somebody."

"They were sitting on the ground, Mother."

Despair was quickly setting in the pit of her stomach, her head feeling dizzy. Oh, if she didn’t get those keys back there would be hell to pay. She could already see herself losing her job. The thought sent her into a near hyperventilation. Then, of course, she also would have no way home- nor would she have a way into aforementioned abode. She needed to find her keys.

She closed another greenhouse door as she left. Okay, so she hadn’t dropped them in the first three she checked. Maybe the fourth try was the charm? She, in a childish moment, crossed her fingers in hope as she turned the corner heading straight for the last greenhouse she’d been in that day. As soon as she rounded the corner, she saw two figures standing in the hallway. It was only as her legs were taking her closer to her desired room did she realize exactly who it was.

The young woman let a startled yelp escape past her lips before clamping her hands tightly over her lips, trying to seal any other sound from making its way out. In the while she had been there, working around the green houses she hadn’t seen the woman excluding the first time they met. She had assumed she was a visitor, looking around the labs. Apparently she’d been horribly wrong, for there she was- standing there with her pretty charge.

Not wanting to chance another encounter with the woman, Emily turned on the ball of her heel. Her intention to turn tail and run was clear in her mind when an image of her lost keys danced in her mind’s eye. She turned half way back towards the green house, and debated silently with herself if she dared enter the green house- and maybe find her keys- or if it would simply be better to sleep on the park’s bench for the night.
