Ya, I know I havent been to active lately. My ability to get on the internet is sorta limited lately. However, it has given me time for thinking. And this is what I thought up...
The setting is long before any time that Sonic was active in. Way back in the day, in a era that nobody remebers. For a reason. At the begining of this area, Magic was very strong, and almost anybody could use it. The entire world was blessed with magic. But there where those that wanted more. Through the constant waging of battle, they would suck power from their defeated foes, until they became almost like gods. There were Three Major People, each one with the power to destroy the world. Eventually, all three where fighitng each other, magical armies clashing all over the world. Years past and the planet suffered, slowly dying, until, at the end, the Armies where wasted, and it was the three who fought on a mountain top. Nearly spent, the three looked about, and knew the error of their way.
The planet was dying, most of their followers where dead. Chaos was rampant in the world, and nothing was safe as Rogue Magic caused unexpected upheavels everywhere. The three made a vow, and using their last bits of strength, gathered all the Magic that they could, and sealed it inside themselfs, turning themselfs to stone.
The area that they did so was also sealed off away from the world, the only entrance a magical gate that held the Rogue Magic, and the Monsters it created at bay, away from the world....
Years have past, and civilization has regrown. Magic is nearly unknown in many regions, forcing the Mobians to rely upon technology. It has gotten to the level of Steam Power and Wild Inventions. But there is unrest. Where once there was three massive armies, now Three Nations lived.
The Northern Region Nation: These people live in mountainous terrain, and are sparce, but hardy. Their mining provides much of the Fuel needed for the rest of the world. They know little of magic, and are generally a superstitious people.
The Desert Waste Region: These people are industrius and clever, finding ways to move thier habitats along the desert sands to ease the burden of living among the Desert Monsters. Much of what they do seems like Magic, but is infact technology. They know little of magic as well, though are a more jolly folk then the Northern People.
The Imperial South: A tyranical rule keeps these people in check, where the Leaders of the Armies decendents now rule. Hunger for power, and a belief that might makes right. It is rumored that the Imperials have refound the Secret of Magic...
Life has been fairly calm for those not of the South. The Imperials constant expansion on the Southern Continent seems limited by the fact that a Ocean seperates the South from the other regions. But the Imperials are gaining in power, and as they gain more power, their want for more increases. Rumors of raids in the Northern Continent are becoming common, as well as stories of weird creatures in the Imperial ranks, Monsters of great power. It is also said that the Emperor is looking for something...a power long lost to this world. Other rumors states that its already been found.
The game would start as the Imperials make a raid on a Northern region City, one that has recently made a discovery of a Artifict of power. Players are all mobians, and can be from either side.
So, whatcha think? A possibility? I sorta need time to think from Revisited, so hopefully this one gets going...

Wow, that is a REALLY well thoughtout plan Dianna! I totally love how you made destinct differences with each people. It's a very good idea indeed.
I personally though wouldn't probably participate in it though... Nothing personal, or having to do with the story because it is a GREAT story. But...well....I'm kind of against magic and all...so I don't want to bring down the RP or anything... Ya know, cuz even if I did post I wouldn't be "participating" fully.

Understandable. Course, the Characters themselfs wouldnt be able to use Magic. Most of the enemies would have 'MagicTech' using the essences of certain things to power their machines or weapons.

The More the Merrier of course. Anybody is allowed in, though I would prefer characters that are slated for this time area of course.

Its Starting! Also, to prevent characters Rpin all in diffrent sections of this world, characters from Rping in totally diffrent areas, Im going to be in command of where everybody starts off in the game. Those who do not like/andor agree with this can push-off elsewhere. Im tired of trying to tie in people who start off their Rp in copletly odd areas in regards to the other characters. Most of the players are starting out in a Major Mining Town called Guranth. This town, a major producer of much of the fuel the Civilized parts of the world use, also happens to be the one that discovered the artifiact. A Large city nuzzeled in deep in the mountains, its a fairly Basic kind of a place. The Streets are zig-zagging, the lines of the Rail-Carts causing many roads and buildings and conform to their style. Cold weather is a constant, and blizzards are not unheard of. Odd monsters roam in the nearby caves, but nothing special or powerfull except for a Tame Monster the Town has. This Creatures name is Carbunkle, a cute little creature that acts as a 'mineral bloodhound' for the townsfolk. Rumors about that its good luck. As well as this, and it was the one that also found the Ancient Artifact. This creature is about 3 feet tall, and can talk coherently *though it had to be taught* All characters that are actually playing will be starting in this area. However, roommates are getting annoyed.

And the Gm said...Let There Be Game! The day was a day like any other day. In truth, nothing to special. The Mountain City was abuzz with rumors about the Artifact that was found, and what they should do with it, and weather or not they should continue mining there (It was, after all, a very rich vein). The weather had turned fowl almost a week ago, going from the constant overcast the mountain was blessed with, to a horrid Blizzard. They where used to it, but many heads turned, and many tongues waged, for it is said that the blizzard started exactly at the moment the Artifact was found. And there was even rumors of Imperial Spies. Those nasty good for nothings. For days, and even weeks, this town cared nothing for the Empire. They where practically unassailable by a large force up here in the craggy mountains. Yet now, with the Artifact found, people where starting to get afraid. The tiny form of Carbunkle, three feet tall to be exact, was seen cheerfully trudging through the blizzard. The crystal that it held on its antenna glowed softly, and it was like the driving winds and the blinding snow didnt bother the creature. No, it was intent on chewing on a Sticky Bun that a Merchant had given it. Life sure is better with the Civilized Ones. He thought In the Mountains, I would never have gotten such a delicious Treat!Smiling, and quite happy and content, it was safe to say that this little puff ball was domesticated, and probably would have a hard time living back out in the wild. Nearby, a tavern called the Vulgar Unicorn was quite busy, the work shifts out, the mines inactive at the moment. Most everybody came to this place. It was almost a boarding hose for the Miners. They spent more time there then they did at their own homes. Passing by, Carbunkle got a whiff of some delicious food, and with a happy chirp, it stuffed the entire Sticky Bun into its mouth, and waddled on inside the Tavern ((Please note for those starting that the Tavern is the Gms preferred Starting point.))
