Blame Phe if this is bad. Tiss rushed.
{EDIT razz he- Or, if you have been waiting for a Panthie rp, you can thank Phe by PMing him ^__^}
---------------------------------------------

A small group of travellers and treasure hunters return from one expedition with a book detailing a cache of powerful items, weapons and armour like that only heard of in myths and legends.

Indeed, one of the weapons detailed is the legendary sword Angelfeather, said to be taller than a full grown man, weighing less than that of a short sword and shaped like that of an angels outstretched wing.

Thinking of the fame and money that could be brought by the expedition, the group packed up everything they needed and started following the clues left in the book. Little did they know of the trip they would take.

---------------------------------------------

Righto, this is a typical fantasy RP. I will control it the best I can and I will make sure it stays alive. If someone doesn't post for 15 posts, I will let their character be taken over by who is left till they return, if they return.

Races are typical fantasy races. Don't go overboard. Ditto with classes. If you've got more than one class, limit your abilities in both classes. Make sure your weapons/spells make sense for your class to have and finally you can write whatever you wish for your bio, just remember to add something on how your character joined the treasure hunters.

Post profiles in this thread and we'll start once we've got 4 people.

Finally, if this RP is successful, *snorts* then we might think of keeping it alive with different things to go looking for.

Name: Motoon Rathwren
Gender: Male
Race: Human
Class(es): Fighter/Cleric
Age: 26
Personality: Motoon is level headed and quick on his feet. He makes decisions based on best outcome and tries to make sure everyone gets their fair share. A fair leader who will never leave anyone behind.
Appearance: Motoon is fairly tall and rugged looking. His time learning the ways of the Healer didn't soften his face, which is lined with small scars and a short cropped beard framing slate grey eyes. He is wider and taller than most men by a few inches and wears fairly light metal armour at all times.
Weapons/Spells: Motoon carries around two swords. A longsword named Starlight and a short sword. Starlight is a black sword with points of silver along it. It gives him the ability to see in the deepest of nights. He also carries around a shortbow, but rarely uses it, preferring his swords. His spells are fairly accomplished for one who didn't spend his entire life studying them and he can heal all but the most serious of wounds.
Bio: Motoon used his smarts and his acquaintance with Lorena to found the Treasure Hunters. In the beginning they only went after things that helped them build up some money, but now he goes for historical purposes and the challenge of finding new and fascinating items.

Name: Lorena Halten
Gender: Female
Race: Human
Class(es): Thief/Sorceress
Age: 25ish
Personality: Lorena is a prankster and loves nothing than breaking into a locked room, just to prove that she can. Fortunately, she has Motoon to watch over her. Nothing makes her day more than getting to the bottom of a labyrinth and finding something that's lain hidden for centuries.
Appearance: Lorena is fairly short and thin, making her look like a thief no matter what she's wearing. She has long golden hair that she keep tied in a ponytail and soft features, complete with laughing yellow eyes. She wears tight leather clothes lined with many many pockets. Her cloak is deep grey and lined with runes along the inside edge. The runes occasionally change pattern or light up with some sort of magical energy.
Weapons/Spells: Lorena carries around a few daggers and a short sword, but no other weapons besides the magical components in her many pockets. Due to her sorcerer nature, she doesn't completely know what spells she will know from day to day, but she does always have a few, like flying, water breathing and invisibility. Her favourite spell, however, is to shapechange to a small tabby cat. She's used that spell so many times that her eyes changed from their original brown to yellow and she can see better in the dark.
Bio: Lorena was always looking for places to explore and break into, whether or not she wanted anything from the place she was breaking into. One night she tried breaking into Motoon's house and was almost cut in half when she stumbled into his training room. After being healed, she visited him almost weekly until he proposed the Treasure Hunters to her. She jumped at the opportunity to go exploring and since then has devoted most of her time trying to find more places to explore.

Name: Balthier Firebane
Gender: Male
Race: Originally human
Class: Dragon shaman
Age: 40
Personality: A preacher of loyalty, Balthier keeps to himself whenever possible. Unless treasure is involved; he will do almost anything for a glint of gold.
Appearance: With a tall, lithe figure, Balthier's skin has become scaly save for his face, and his body is coloured in a light blue hue. His teeth and nails have a tapered appearance, and his pupils resemble the vertical slits of many lizards.
Due to his uncommon physique, Balthier shrouds himself in his hooded blue traveller's robes and cloak, although it doesn't conceal all of the alterations that the draconic magic has wreaked upon him; two bony bumps are sometimes visible on his back, the beginning of the distinct wings that are the final stage of his progressive transformation.
Weapons/Spells: Elemental breath attacks, longsword.
Bio: Raised in a tribe that roams the northern wastes, Balthier was bullied by the other children because of his smaller stature. Desiring an end to this after several years, Balthier hiked up the nearest mountain, where rumour told of a dragon's den. The eager teenager swore an oath of fealty to the dragon that dwelled in the mountain cave, and in return Balthier was bestowed with draconic abilities. He returned to his people, and left soon after, venturing into the world to further the goals of dragons and their minions. Naturally, Balthier became a Treasure Hunter, allowing him to sate his inherent lust for rare and antiquated possessions.

Name: Elesia
Gender: Female
Race: Fairy
Class(es): Witch (Puppeteer)
Age: 217
Personality: She’s always in the mood to smile and laugh, and never wants a day to be a dull one. She is task oriented though, and so when she needs to be she can be quite serious, although she doesn’t enjoy it.
Appearance: She’s only 7 inches tall. She has soft pink hair that falls down to her knees and bright pink/red eyes. Her skin is a beige tone and her body in general looks quite delicate. Her wingspan is about 12 inches and they appear to be similar to butterfly wings, though less broad. They’re shades of pinks, reds, and browns.
Weapons/Spells: A puppet of course. He looks just like a real human man, feels like one, sounds like one... He uses a broad sword. He also wears a red amulet, which has the soul of an Orge trapped inside. This is the source of the puppets incredible strength. She would have an array of other spells at her disposal, but all her magic goes to her puppet.Puppet Pic
Bio: Her puppet wasn’t created by her, or not in the sense that many people would assume it was. He was once a living man, in love with Elesia. His love wasn’t unrequited, and it wasn’t a lustful, nor a physical attraction. His soul is no longer attached to his body though, and why this is remains a secret to all but her. His body is still alive, but is an empty shell and feeds off of the natural magic Elesia’s body creates to sustain life. She’s desperately searching for a way to bring him back, because her dark magic can't do it for her.

She is about two feet tall.
Name: Celeste
Gender: Female
Race: Pixie
Class(es): Bard
Age: 196
Personality: Celeste is very mischievous and fickle, but those are not traits unusual to a pixie. She can be rather proud, and doesn't take insults well. She also has a rather fiery temper.
Weapons/Spells: Spells of the druidic variety.
Bio: Celeste was orphaned when she was very young, her parents trees burnt down in a forest fire. Her tree narrowly escaped, but she was too young to take care of herself. She was found by a woodcutter, and he took care of her until she was old enough. Since then she has been roaming the known world, looking for something to belong to.
Other: Celeste usually rides on a stag, unless she is flying. But the stag is her usual mode of transport, and they're rather good friends.

Shaking his head, Motoon threw a bag of coins onto the merchants table, scooped up a bag of goods and went back towards his considerable house.

Stepping into the shade of the porch, the door to his manor swung open before he could place a hand on the door.

"Lorena, stop playing," he said, walking in and gently placing the bag on a table in the sitting room that the front door led to.

Blowing a raspberry, Lorena threw a scroll at the back of Motoon's head. The 'attack' dispelled her invisibility, showing Motoon that she was holding the book they had found on their last quest.

"I've got it," she said, grinning mischievously.

"What?"

"The location of Angelfeather and a few other artefacts."

Turning slowly, Motoon stared at the thief. "Seriously?"

She nodded. "I've told the others. They're already packing. Thought you might wish to go soon."

Nodding, he replied, "Sure do. Glad I bought a few extra healing potions." He nodded towards the small pouch on Lorena's belt. "Packed already?"

She grinned. "Of course. Now get yourself packed."

Nodding once, Motoon went up the wide stairs and started collecting his possessions. Making herself comfortable, Lorena continued reading the book, looking for more clues to help them on their next journey.

Celeste had almost quivered with excitement when Lorena had told her they knew the location of the sword Angelfeather, and hadn't needed any coaxing to come along.

She hadn't anything to pack, either. She could live off wild berries and such along the way, for she didn't need to eat much to live. And as long as her tree was healthy, she couldn't die from starvation.

Are you ready to go, sweeting? the majestic stag asked, soft brown eyes peering up at her from the ground.

Just a minute. I'm saying goodbye to my tree, she told him, and hugged the tree affectionately, before leaping onto the back of the stag from over six metres high. She giggled as he sighed in her mind.

Sweeting, you could use your wings, he said gently, as he trotted off. Celeste didn't answer; staring back at her tree. Her tree understood that she had to go, but it didn't make it less painful for either of them.

Elecia made her puppet pause as they neared the door of her comrade’s home. There were many things that need to be double checked before they set out on their journey. One small hand rose from her lap, for she was perched upon her puppet’s shoulder, and her fingers moved as if playing a melody upon a piano. He moved, his hands moving to his side where he removed a small velvet pouch, opened it, and moved it up to her so she could examine the contents. After a minute of rummaging, for she didn’t need to use her hands to make her puppet do something that came as easily as being still, she came to the conclusion that she had quite certainly forgotten something, yet since she couldn’t remember what, she decided that her feeling was just a little fear and nothing more.

He closed the pouch and put it back where it came from, and with a flick of her wrist and a few finger movements he moved forward, knocked, and simple entered Motoon’s house. She was Elecia of course, so why would she need to wait to be invited in? “What’s taking you people so long? My puppet’s going to rot away by the time you people are ready.” She eyed the room, and only found Lorena. Not her prime victim, for a thieve's tongue tends to be made of silver. “Waiting for Motoon?”

Name: Illoen
Gender: F
Race: Otherworlder
Class(es): Planar ranger
Personality: Although Illoen speaks all languages, something about her is unmistakably foreign. Awkward in social situations, she is drawn to the outer edges of society, particularly to adventurers. Is fascinated by druids and bards, and is somewhat of an amateur practitioner of barding (no skills applicable in battle). Illoen is deeply curious about the world (she loves bards for their knowledge and their connection to the people), but her low charisma keeps her back. Occasionally the group forbids her to talk because of her stupendous ability to put her foot in her mouth. Although extremely intelligent, she comes across as somewhat ditzy since she often forgets the rules of this world. For example, she nearly drowned when she realized she couldn't breath underwater in this plane. Also, she has a nasty habit of running into solid objects due to sight issues.
Appearance: Illoen could pass herself off as a gnome or duergar mix if she chose. Shorter than the average human, she has ashy grey skin, dark bristly hair, and always wears shades. She uses these to hide her eyes, which are a color unknown to this plane.
Weapons/Spells: She carries twin blades of an odd design. They do extra damage against creatures from the darker planes, as they are her chosen enemy. Her sight works differently; she can see into multiple planes at once. Unfortunately, this is more a hindrance than a bonus. Despite being a foreigner to this world, Illoen has a skill for adapting to all sorts of terrain. Although she has relatively low strength, her evasion and hiding skills are better than most. Her animal companion is a celestial horse which, due to the laws of physics on this plane, cannot fly.
Bio: As a planar ranger, Illoen has spent most of her life exploring the worlds. Her goal is to become a member of the Sentinels, an elite group of planar rangers that watch over and guard the worlds. She has applied four times so far, denied each time. At the moment, she seeks fighting experience and magical weapons to increase her chances.

((Cool, everyone's in))

"Of course," Lorena replied. "Aren't we always? Anyway, Isn't your magic keeping your puppet alive? That being the case, we'd have to wait for your tongue to rot out of your mouth before it stops moving." Lorena grinned over her shoulder and flicked a page over.

Sucking air through her teeth in surprise, she lifted the book over her head and pointed to a mirror like object.

"The Mirror of Souls, Elecia." Lowering the book, she continued flicking through the pages. "There seems to be something in here for everyone, even me." Pausing her flicking, she stopped on a page describing a dagger etched with runes.

A loud thud echoed through the house followed by Motoon's curses. Lorena giggled.

An extremely dirty figure, draped in an equally filthy blanket, wandered in, clearly not wearing anything beneath the threadbare cloth.

A familiar, thick accent emerged from the pile of mud and rags. "******** necromancers," Illoen snarled, "they give you pretty jewelry, good food, the best lodging, then strap you to an altar and try to sacrifice you to some sort of unholy demon god? This is inferior hospitality!!"

The planar ranger took several deep breaths, wiping some of the dirt off her face, revealing several shallow cuts and a few interesting piercings around her eyebrows. "I am in need of pants," she said finally, pulling the blanket tighter around herself, "and some shades, before some other headcases decide I'm the avatar of their god."

Illoen wished this was a more uncommon circumstance. However, after the druid commune and that brief (and never talked about) siren episode, she'd started storing extra clothes in strategic locations. Including Motoon's house. Her own dwelling had been lost in a strange purple fire, completely unrelated to the host of gnome chemists she'd been hanging with at the time.

Elecia grinned. She knew better, and was proven correct about her quick wits. “My tongue has nothing to do with my magic, tis my hands and eyes that do my weaving.” Her grin swayed to a smile, she liked Lorena. She left her perch and fell through the air like a feather to the book. The loud noise had been ignored for it was quite common when Motoon was around, though her mind giggled.

She looked at the picture of the dagger, her eyes getting large as she read the runes, or tried to at least. She may be old compared to her companions, but she was still quite young for an immortal, and these runes preceded her knowledge, and that could only mean that the daggers were great, she believed. “I would tell you what the runes said, but I’d like to pretend that they’re simply too old for me to know the language, instead of my slacking and having lost multiple languages that I’d gained in my few years.” Her smile weakened a little, before Illoen entered the building.

She chuckled and her fingers seemed to play with the air again, and her puppet removed his traveling cloak. “Would you like to borrow this until you find yourself something?” Whether the offer was taken didn’t matter to her, but it’s not like a puppet would really need it.

They found the door of Motoon's [haha, Motown XD] house open, and figured that some of the others must have already arrived.

If you hadn't taken so long in saying goodbye to your tree, we could have been here some time ago sweeting, the stag told her. She was sitting in between his antlers, her favourite place to ride.

Well let's see you try and leave your tree. Oh wait, i forgot. You don't have one! Celeste said grumpily.

The pixie was always grumpy for the first day or so after leaving her tree, so the stag didn't pay her attitude any attention. He simply entered through the front door, and found several of their friends.

"Did you almost get sacrificed to some random god again?" was the first thing she asked Illoen, seeing her apparent lack of clothes. "That's what, the third time?"
