Divinity- what does it mean?

It means many different things: Dictionary.com has 8 listings for it.

1. the quality of being divine; divine nature.
2. deity; godhood.
3. a divine being; God.
4. the Divinity, (sometimes lowercase) the Deity.
5. a being having divine attributes, ranking below God but above humans: minor divinities.
6. the study or science of divine things; theology.
7. godlike character; supreme excellence.
8. Also called divinity fudge. a fluffy white or artificially tinted fudge made usually of sugar, corn syrup, egg whites, and flavoring, often with nuts.

Although the idea of divine fudge seems a bit odd, these all mean divinity.

What kind is the one that is most understandable to humans?

It's number 3 probably. Even athiests can understand the idea of God. But to this rp, number 7 is the real meaning of Divinity. Will you come and discover the intricacies of Divinity with me?

This is a story about vampires. I don't mean to seem cliche, or follow a pattern, but that's the truth. This story is about the kind of vampires that you would find next to Bram Stoker's Dracula in a line-up. They are creepy, blood-thirsty, and very intellegent. But they also are number 7 in our definition of divinity.

7. godlike character; supreme excellence.

They are all over the earth now, and in a small city in California, they are strong, and as much a part of daily (nightly) life as any normal citizen. The only difference is that they've never voted. How could they, when voting booths close at five?

This is a story about vampires, but it is also about the people around them. How they interact, and what legends fill the city, that's up to you.
