There were signs that told a mare she was pregnant, even before she began to expand. For a naturally active and athletic mare like Ladius, the physical restrictions of pregnancy were minimal and took longer than average to manifest themselves, as did an expanded girth.
However, there was no mistaking the shortness of breath, loss of mobility, and weight gain that had made her last couple of weeks so frustrating. The things that she was willing to put up with for the sake of the species.
Regardless, it was probably about time to let Entreri know.

Entreri had all but pushed the thoughts of parent hood into the back of his mind as of late. he had been bored as of late with nothing but the usual training routine since he had not run into any one latey and had not seen ladius since their last encounter. flecking his tired wings from a long flight he took to strengthn his wings, plus he liked to occasonaly flight. in his usual territory he wasnt expecting a little visit from ladius at this moment to say that they where indeed going to be parents.

One thing Ladius had to say about Entreri was that he was constant. Since determining the state of her pregnancy, she'd been on the move, making for the territory she knew to be Entreri's usual stomping grounds. The opennes of the area meant that he'd likely be able to see her from the air, and if he was on the ground she'd be able to find him before too much time had passed...theoretically.
Though it seemed safe to say that that theory was at least partially accurate, if the sight of the stallion meant nothing else. After eyeing him for a moment across the clearing, the mare tossed back her braids, then called out, "Lost in thought so early in the day?"
As she spoke, the mare leaned sideways against the tree she was standing beside, the pose deliberately drawing attention to her rounded abdomen.

Entreri raised a brow at ladius as she called out at him and even being leaned up against a tree which drew his attention. slowly he made his way over to her on purpose as he eyed her carefully the whole way. there definaly something going on and as he finaly was close enough not to have to yell at her from across the clearing it was even more obivous she now was sporting a round belly " maybe, but it seems to me theres something different or is it just me?" oh he had an idea of why she had the round belly but for his own amusment he would just play the fool for the moment though no doubt she would call him out on it.

Ah yes, there was that staggering intellect at work, yet again. Smiling wryly, Ladius gave Entreri a somewhat amused look as she straightened up. "Sharp as always, Entreri; that razor-keen intellect of yours doesn't seem to have failed you in the time since we last parted ways. As a matter of fact there IS something different, as you can undoubtably see."
Glancing down for a moment at her swollen stomach, Ladius shrugged, then looked back at the stallion. "From what I can tell, the foals will be born within the month. Exactly when, I can't say, but it won't be that much longer."
There was no point in dancing around the point, after all.

Entreri could see she was only somewhat amused with his responce but no matter she went directly to the point as usual if he danced around the point for his own amusment. " you never fail to get stright to the point of the matter, and seems you know me all too well." raising a brow again he eyed her. " well seems you took long enough to inform me though im sure you are having your own fun carrying unborn foals around." keeping the calm apperance, unlike other stallions he was not going to go musey and emotional over the fact he was soon to be a father because that wasnt his style at all.

In response to Entreri's comments, Ladius only shrugged. They were more of a rhetorical comment than anything inviting a response; though they were hardly 'close' in the traditional sense, the two did share similar beliefs and values and had spent a (for them) large amount of time together. Oh, and he was the father of her unborn children, but that was largely irrelevant itself.
However, she did give him a look at the comment about the 'fun' she was having. "Oh yes. Gaining mass in a most awkward region of the body is loads of fun. I've had to sacrifice the majority of my workout, which is irksome, but whatever. Once the kids are born, I'll have plenty of time to get back in prime fighting shape." And she would be literally throwing herself into that role, as soon as the opportunity presented itself.
"I figured there was no point in tracking you down just to announce I'd conceived. This way, you've got a more set timetable, and can figure out how you want to act accordingly. As you well know, I neither require nor desire your assistance with this." As she'd told him before, she'd chosen him for the genes, not for any of that warm fuzzy crap. He was a stallion who could father strong children, and that was what she'd wanted. Anything beyond that was his own choice.

" well, well, well seems you are as always quick to get things strighted out leaving nothing to be questioned." Entreri had no had plans of givin her assistance as she had wanted this is the first place even sayign she would do the work herself. " i'm sure you knew you wouldnt beable to do your daily routine when having foals and ofcourse you would be back in shape in no time chasing around foals." now there was a hint of amusment in his voice though was quickly gone as he contiuned. " fair enough and i had no intentions of helping wether you wanted it or not since you desired this. though i have my own plans of helping training the foals but nothing more."

Squaring her shoulders slightly, Ladius met Entreri's gaze head on, her advancing pregnancy and smaller stature doing nothing to detract from the fierce air of control that always surrounded her. She expected nothing, asked for nothing, gave nothing, and took nothing; all as it was intended, in her own mind.
"Believe me, I had no delusions about the so-called 'joys of pregnancy'. If anything, experiencing the unpleasantries and physical annoyances of pregnancy has only served to stregthen my resolve to raise my children to be more than the vapid, simpering, stallion and offspring obsessed weaklings our society abounds in. Any mare who ENJOYS being an immobile blimp doesn't deserve to truly be called a mare."
Narrowing her eyes at the very idea, Ladius looked away past Entreri, no longer looking at the stallion but glaring at the absent mares. Joys of pregnancy her a**...

Entreri made no movement went she met his gaze and spoke. oh how he alwas was amused by how she took it upon herself to be the strong independ mare that would quickly kick a stallions a** before geting help from one. " i have no intentions of allowing any of my offspring to be weak like everyother mare or stallion allows their offspring to be." and i have no doubt these foals will be nothing but strong." in his mind he was smirking as the more he talked to ladius now the more he had found sireing foals with laduis had been a smart move. the more he thought about thing the more he was thinking of how this migh tjust benift him as we all know he never did something that wouldnt eventualy benift him in the end.

At the emphasis to the possessive 'my', Ladius raised her brow slightly at Entreri, then chuckled. "Well, it sounds like we are at least on the same page how OUR offspring are to be raised, then, which is a positive. Consistency is integral in the formulation of strong minds, and even the strongest bodies are at a loss without a matching strength of character."
Not that she was worried. There was no way these children WOULDN'T have strength of character, not if she had anything to say about it.
"Regardless, there will be time soon enough to formulate the details. Perhaps once the children are actually born and we know how many there are."

"and yet again you prove you know what your talking about unlike some. theres no reason we wouldnt be on the same page, as it seems we think alike." Entreri had no worries at all about the situation in the lest. there was also no way Entreri would allow the foals to become weak and had high expectations that they would have to meet. " that is true since you stated earlyer it would be a month before they are born. so i guess we play the waitign game a bit longer."

Being praised for common sense was something Ladius needed; if anything, it only irritated her, as the fact that she herself knew what she was talking about meant that hardly anyone else did.
Regardless, this little interview had gone on long enough. Not only was she unable to keep up with her usual exercises, she couldn't even stand for long periods of time anymore, as her legs were starting to remind her. So, looking over at Entreri, she gave a short, clipped nod.
"Indeed. Keep your eyes open, and we'll see what we'll see when we see it. In the meantime, I'll catch you later."
It was time to go home.

" i always keep my eyes open. and ofcourse." Entreri gave a nob, turning away and goign on his own way knowing that they where done talking for now. flexing his wings as he left, a smirk came to his face. there was now plotting and planning to do so it seems things would no longer be boring for him soon enough.
