This is an open roleplay with Caine. Anyone welcome.

To all the dared to go near the darkest patch of the woods, the stench of decay would push them back. It wasn't hard to guess that many animals had died in the dark shadows within. Who or what had killed them remained a mystery. Even during the day, the woods remained dark. It was as if the branches of the trees worked in unison to keep the light out for the stallion that lived within.

Caine preferred it that way. It's why he chose this location above all others. The stallion hated the sunlight. His eyes were sensitive to the brightness it caused and he did not like the heat. The pale stallion preferred to come out at night or keep to the shadows as much as possible.

His hair was untamed and wild, soaked with blood from his kills. His horn, the instrument in which he used to achieve these kills was bloodstained as well. Caine wasn't quite like other stallions, let alone unicorns. He had a taste for blood. He detested the taste of flesh, preferring to eat fruits and vegetables to get his solid fill. Blood however.. to him it was sweeter than anything else. He was addicted to it.

Strewn around the stallion were the carcasses of many animals. Some had been there so long that they only bone was left. Others lay half eaten from the crows and other scavengers that lurked nearby.

The white stallion wasn't the only one who ventured into the darkness, and as Ichigo lost control of himself, a disgusting mask covered his face and a new personality swept into his mind. With a screech of laughter, Ichigo found himself transforming again, and he lost control of his original feelings and thoughts. He wasn't Ichigo at all anymore, and the blood and violence had returned into his eyes. With a shrewd cry, he galloped through the trees, and let the branches around him scrape his body.

He breathed for violence, and he felt his blood boil as he noticed how empty the area was around him.

It had been a few days since he had last transformed, so his state was even angrier then ever. It wasn't Ichigo's choice when it came for allowing the beast to come out, but apparently his will had kept him sane for a few days.

How pathetic, Ichigo wasn't that stable, and with a loud thrash into a bush, the orange headed stallion continued on a gallop, looking for any sign of life to taunt or grasp hold of. The night was too silent, and Ichigo wanted to quickly change that.

His ears perked as he caught the sound of something stomping around nearby. It was too loud to be a small woodland creature which he would have preferred. Instead it came off as something bigger and this could only mean one thing. Something was invading his territory. Perhaps this creature was the reason that the animals were becoming scarce in this area, though Caine had to admit that he could be the problem himself. There were an awful lot of bodies about. The smell probably scared the animals off as well.

Either way, it had been awhile since Caine had tasted fresh blood and this agitated him. If the animals wouldn't come to him, he would have to go to them but first.. he would have to check out the threat nearby. If any creatures did happen to lurk nearby, surely that loud beast would scare them away.

Ichigo smelled the stallion, but did not hear him. The b*****d, was he hiding? He was smart if he was, since the orange-headed fool was extremely agitated at the moment. With a loud cackle, he continued to stomp until he saw something bright against the darkness. Was that the stallion? It was so white, and Ichigo wanted to laugh hilariously!

Having no fear of the territory he was in, he stopped himself finally, and felt a rush of energy hit his spine. "Are you a GHOST?" he then said, and as the stallion came into full view, he noticed it was a Unicorn in front of him.

How gay, Unicorns were so prissy and pathetic. He almost looked like a female, with his long hair and girly color. Even if it was a girl, Ichigo would have happily attacked, he had no morals about male or females.

His only strife involved unnecessary violence, and he gleamed with a glare as he eyed the white thing.

"I'm no ghost. I'm afraid I'm something far worse," came Caine's reply. He was deathly pale and his black hair was matted with blood. His eyes were almost lifeless as he watched the other stallion though something stirred deeply within the blood red orbs. Caine wasn't quite sure what to make of the stallion. His hair reminded him of oranges and carrots. Did hair really come in such obnoxious colors?

"I do believe you're scaring away the animals. You know we unicorns. We need to have our woodland animals nice and safe to be content." Caine smiled. He was not your typical unicorn but chances are this stallion wouldn't realize it. As Caine stared into his eyes, something was missing. Sanity, perhaps.

This was turning into a bit of a habit... The mare carefully picked her way through the undergrowth of the rather disturbing forest and furrowed a brow. She wasn't entirely sure when the place had become so dark, no was she entirely sure of when it had become so quiet either. All she knew was that something was amiss given that the area seemed to be completely void of life.

It seemed the spirits were up to no good once again. The last time she had been in a 'silent' forest hadn't been pleasant and the Spirits had left her to endure her fate. It had been a test and she had passed but that still didn't make her feel any better. Granted, she could still hear the faint whispers, whispers that grew louder each time the faintest of gusts brushed against her ears (which was a bonus) but still...

Now probably wasn't a good idea to call out then.

Nevertheless as she continued through the undergrowth, ducking every now and then to avoid the low lying branches she did hear something that wasn't the voice of a 'spirit'. Sure, some might question her sanity given she claimed to hear voices but they gave her a strength and boundless confidence so she certainly wasn't going to complain!

Coming to a halt the mare swivelled her ears in an attempt to gain a rough idea of where the voices had come from and detected the faint murmurings of not one, but two individuals. Another few moments ad she had discerned they were male from the tone in which the used and the deeper quality.

Hum...hum...

Oh, presented with so many decisions it was hard for the mare to be decisive but after a few moments she slowly crept towards the noise. Unfortunately, while she may have only taken a few steps the smell hit her like a brick and she gagged in a rather loud fashion - most unlady like, but she simply couldn't help herself!

With a curved lip, Ichigo opened his mouth and let his tongue hang lazily. It was always such a disgusting sight, but it was a habit he did constantly. It almost looked like a snake, but it was far more disgusting. "Worse? Oh please, enlighten me with what that is. Hopefully you are referring to a monster.." still holding a wide grin, he stomped his hoof and gritted his teeth. He was so spazztic, and he needed to move himself at all times.

Letting his eyes examine the skulls on the ground, he almost gave an understanding nod of happiness. "Safe... yes, safe with death sounds more pleasing." Letting his yellow eyes roll around the ground, he looked back towards the stallion happily. "I was worried for a moment, that you were 'actually' like other Unicorns. But it doesn't seem like we will have that problem here, now does it?" How ironic, that they both lacked inner sanity, and yet they both met so randomly.

Hearing something else around them, Ichigo let out a shrill cry of laughter. "Oh, it seems we have more company to play with!" He turned his head to examine what was roaming behind them.

Caine had no idea what to make of that stallion. He was nuttier than a squirrel's nest, that's for sure. It seemed like the threat was passing. Perhaps he felt more at ease knowing that Caine was not a 'good' creature. Still, he would keep on his guard. The other stallion was just too weird and despite his eccentricity, most likely harbored a sadistic edge.

Caine's analyzation of the stallion came to an edge as a sound interrupted them. It seemed like something had ventured too closely and caught a whiff of something they shouldn't. "Perhaps it is something willing to share its blood?", Caine mused. The idea of fresh blood caused him to instinctively lick his lips. He was rather parched. This was a thirst that water just couldn't quench.

"Shall we go greet our guest?," he asked the other stallion, preferring to keep him in front. That way he could keep his eye on him. He didn't trust him one bit. Then again, Caine didn't trust anyone.

Play with?

...Blood?

Ho boy well this definitely confirmed her suspicions. Once again the voices in her head had decided that she needed to learn another lesson and she had been plonked unceremoniously into yet another uncomfortable situation. Peachy, just peachy! If the stench wasn't enough to make her physically wretch (though she had gained control of that), she now had this to deal with and it posed quite a few problems.

She wasn't entirely sure she could take on two stallions, she wasn't even sure she could take on one so what in the hell was she meant to do? For a number of seconds she considered this little conundrum before experiencing what could only be described as an epiphany. She'd seen other creatures do it so she was fairly certain she could do it to.

She. Was. A. Tree.

No word of a lie, she imagined herself as a tree and quickly scooted between some of the undergrowth and a low lying branch. Using the branch to cover her face and the undergrowth to cover her lower legs - she could only hope that her glittering pink body would be taken as a tree trunk. The spirits would be nice and help her out surely? If not - maybe her 'sanity' or lack thereof would promptly scare them off.

Impure blood, that was it!

Ichigo's attention was now on the prey, and as he stomped on the ground, he let out another horrid noise of excitement. "Waaaaa?! It seems the buggar is hiding!" Hiding was NOT fun for Ichigo, and if anything he was getting more angry at the soon-to-be-discovered female. But nontheless, he kept his cool and gritted his teeth while remaining scatterbrained.

It wasn't hard for the stallion to spot the pink thing, and he cackled loudly as he gazed at the figure. "Oh my, what do we have here?" He peered in closely, and tried to listen if the mare was breathing at all. Did she honestly think she could hide like that? She was even brighter then the other Unicorn!

"You are probably the worst hider I have ever seen!"

Caine could smell her. She was so sweet. He had been surrounded by stench so long that she came in like a spring breeze. He had to agree with the other stallion, she wasn't very good at hiding at all -- if that was indeed what she was doing. He couldn't see much of her except the legs but they were rather nice legs.

He was a little disappointed that she wasn't an animal. He really didn't drink the blood of his own kind though at this point, it probably wouldn't be a bad idea. No, he reminded himself. He was not yet that desperate. She was probably afraid of them. Who wouldn't be? He was curious how she came to be in this area. Probably got lost or something.

"Come on out, pretty lady," he called. He wanted to see if the rest of her was as nice as those legs. It had been awhile since he had seen a mare. Perhaps too long.

Ha! Well the spirits hadn't favoured her and apparently she had to be sociable with the pair. The voices had directed her to this location for a reason and she couldn't very well disobey. Thus, she sent a mental sigh of discontent towards her spirit guides and shook her head. The movement alone was enough to shift the foliage above her head and after a few moments she did slowly move into side.

First she took one step, revealing the very fluffy hoof then another until at last she was able to lower her head under the branch and peek out at the two stallions. Well, neither of them had leathered wings and one was even a unicorn but the other one had the most unusual face and seemed to be yelling...a lot.

"I know. It was never really my strong point," she agreed in a mild mannered tone, offering a light smile as she continued to observe the two. For now she was going to maintain her distance but she could already tell that the unicorn was the one that stank. There was a time when she would have wondered how he could possibly have let himself get that way but now she knew there was a reason for everything.

...Maybe one day she would know but it wasn't that important right now.

"I could try again if you preferred?" She offered, though by the insistent voices in her head this was a no go.

Pretty? Wait wait wait... did the white stallion just call the female.. PRETTY?!

Shooting the stallion a sharp glance, Ichigo crunched at his teeth and wondered what the hell the stallion was saying. So he wasn't going to hurt her? Then that probably meant that Ichigo should hurt the both of them! Peace wasn't the right option, and Ichigo felt frazzled in thought. What a jerk, making Ichigo think that he could relate somehow. But that just reminded him that trust was overrated, and he needed to stop hoping for it!

Taking a very noticeable snort, he glanced back at the female in a disapproving matter. "I'd like to see you try again, for all it will do is make me chase after you faster."

Ichigo dragged himself away from where he was residing next to the stallion, and he continued to glare at the both of them, wondering what he should do, and if he should do it.

She was an odd color but she was pleasing to the eye. How long had it been since he had been in the company of a mare? If he had known one was coming, he might have taken a bath. She was pretty enough to eat... or drink. Again, he shook his head. He needed to keep such thoughts at bay. He was not so horrible that he would resort to drinking the blood of his own kind. He had some dignity and honor left, surely.

"I think hiding would be a waste of time," Caine agreed. He didn't know what the other stallion was thinking. Caine might have his quirks and evil tendencies but hurting a mare was not part of his priorities. This other stallion would present a problem and probably very soon. The more time they spent here, the longer it would be before he would finally taste the sweetness of blood on his tongue. "Tell me, what brought you out to this neck of the woods?" And indeed, he was eyeing her neck. He could almost feel the vein pulsating there. This wasn't going to be easy. If the stallion did hurt the mare to the point of bleeding, would he be able to resist? A small part of him wanted him to step back and let the crazy stallion do his work.
