Such a curious place, this sunken ship. Lately Kibavu had been observing it from a distance, considering taking up residence there. He hadn't seen anyone around so far, but one could never be too sure. One thing was certain though, if he decided to live there, he would clash with anyone who tried to take it from him.
He boldly swam toward it for the first time, circling the whole structure before pausing, as if unsure if he wanted to live there or not. "It's full of holes." He sneered, to himself mostly. "But still. A ship in such good condition? Don't see many of those..."

A gray female was inside the ship, her shining eyes peering out from the depths. She watched the strangely colored male, wondering who he was, and if he was worthy of the Gods messenger.
After a few moments, Athari swam out from one of the many large holes inside the ship. "Greetings." She spoke softly, serious, though a smirk was plain on her face. "I am Athari, messenger of Maachio'Machwa." She watched him with a searhcing gaze, wondering if he would be a good addition to her now growing pod.

Kibavu tilted his head to one side, eyeing the female curiously. She was covered in scars, he respected that. However, he had no idea who she was talking about being a messenger for.
"I'm Kibavu." He said simply, as if he didn't much care. "I don't know who you're talking about, but you sure don't look like any messenger I've ever seen. You look more like a warrior to me." He did not mean to be insulting, rather the opposite. He respected her already for her obvious toughness. "Surely simply delivering messages can't get you scarred like that?"

Athari took a defensive stance to his words. "I am a messenger of the Gods, mortal bodies such as this mean nothing to me. I care not how I appear; I recieved these scars from living my life."
If she could have she would of shrugged, trying to rid herself of the anger that so quickly wanted to rise inside her. Instead she put on a cool smile, watching him with flashing eyes. "The message I deliver is an important one. Eternal damnation, or eternal salvation." She watched him closely now, her voice getting lower with every word she spoke, as if talking of some great secret no one else should overhear. "Maachio'Machwa can save your soul, if you choose to let Him. Oppose him and your soul will be forever enslaved in the depths of Hell. Embrace him and spend your afterlife in paradise."

"Hey, cool it lady." He said with an amused chuckle, "I didn't mean to insult you." At this point though, he was thinking that she was delusional, to say the least. However, the idea of eternal salvation intrigued him, and eternal damnation frightened him deeply.
"I see." His voice was slightly shaky, though he tried to steady it. "And what exactly do I have to do to embrace him?" He looked around, "I suppose gods can't be seen by us mortals, except maybe you. Tell me how to save my soul." The last bit came out a little more desperate than he intended, but he no longer seemed to care about seeming tough or superior.

Athari smiled, a slightly devilish look coming over her features. It only lingered a moment though, and was replaced quickly by an angelic grin, almost as if it had never been there. "Well, all you have to do is join me. I have been searching the sea for whales to embrace Maachio'Machwa, and you are one of the first." She nodded sagely.
"All you have to do is stay by my side, and help me convince others to follow the path MaachioMachwa has set for us, to lead us all to salvation from our sins."

Kibavu thought he saw a trace of an evil look on her face, but was shocked to see that it had turned innocent so fast. Perhaps it was a trick of the light... "I can do that. Eternal salvation sounds worth anything I might have to do." He didn't much like the idea, but he had nothing better to do. What did he have to lose?
"So, when do I start?"

Athari's eyes flashed with glee at his answer. She smiled brightly, turning and motioning to the sunken ship behind them. "This is where we will stay. All you have to do is stay in this area. If any whales come by, tell them about our God and our beliefs and try to get them to join. That's all." She said with another devilish smile. This time it stayed. "If anyone opposes you, just... teach them a bit of a lesson, eh? You're strong enough to make them stay. You start now." She swam towards the ship, glancing back to make sure he would follow.

Kibavu's eyes shined happily as the whole situation worked out. He'd get to stay in that ship after all! Though, he would not be alone. Perhaps that would be good though, he did tend to enjoy company.
"Can do." He said simply, following her to the ship. He didn't completely like the idea of forcing others to stay here if they didn't want to... But if it had to be done, it had to be done, right?

Athari lead him into the ship which, surprisingly, fit them easily. There was even room for yet another whale, although a small one. Athari motioned towards a large hole in the side of the ship, and she swam towards it without speaking. It lead to yet another large room, this one barely able to fit her and him together. "It's not very big, but with so much space around it, it shouldn't be too hard to find even more areas to explore and live in."

Kibavu glanced around the ship, being careful not to bump into anything as he followed her around. "Gotcha. So, this is like headquarters or something?" He asked, still being quite careful not to run into the edges of the ship or his new leader. "I mean, surely not all of the followers can live here all the time? Is this just a special place for special events?"

Athari smiled; he was smart. "Yes, it is. This is where we will have Festival. It is also a place where I will talk with whales if they need my advice or my leadership on anything. And especially, this is where they will ask me if they can breed." She smiled, leaving through the hole, somehow not bumping into him even though it was a tight squeeze. She swam gracefully despite her scars and holes.

Kibavu returned her smile, glad that he had gotten something right. "Good to know." He nodded. His eyes widened slightly at her last statement. "Breed?" He asked, following her out of the ship, moving slowly and carefully; he was not as graceful as she. "Oh, I get it. We're going to come up with some little followers for the whale god." He immediately began wondering how many females had joined up, and if they were good looking. He tried not to let his obvious eagerness show, but it wasn't working out so well.

Athari watched his eyes light up at the breeding conversation and she held back a laugh. "Unforunately, so far there are no females aside from myself." She said, with a movement of her fins that could be a shrug. "I am currently trying to track down some females though, so if you see any try to get them to join." She said with another smile as she swam out of the ship. The light reflected off of her, once again revealing her many scars. "I'm going to have to find a worthy male to breed with so I may produce an heir. But that won't be for a while yet."

"Oh, okay then. I'll try to find some. For the pod, I mean." He said, sounding disappointed. He was somewhat relieved to hear the implication that he was not to breed with her. It would be so strange to mate with your leader... Let alone one who was this frightening at times.
