Od was growing bit by bit, by now he was becoming a little more outgoing than before. He spoke a little more often than the mumbling sounds that spewed from his maw. His eyes were always looking out for more adventures but still weary of the dangers that surrounds the Pride Lands, even those within. His neck was starting to become a little more itchy, but that was easily taken cared of if he could find a nice branch or twig. Od was a rather unsocial little bugger (haha, green... bug... bugger), but he did have one friend since he was a little cub and one not to be taken lightly. He saw no difference in her, her wings were what made her special as was he had his strange tongue that almost no one understands made him special. Life was strange, some may think that he was a lonely little guy, but he had to say not. He knew Rage was out there and as long as she was alive, she was his friend. And God's don't die.
Od popped out from his den, rolled around a bit before sitting upright again. His eyes glanced aroundto see if anything interesting was going on. As always, nothing. The gazelles were running from the family. The Zebras whinnied when they sensed danger. The Elephants remained unnoticed as they continued their way. The startling roars of the lions of the Pride Lands erupted throughout the savanna, startling the birds into flight. Yeah, typical day in the Pride Lands.
The green juvenile (deliquent), stretched out his back and slowly mossied himself over to the large tree where he had met Rage. It was a strange habit, but he licked it there. It was surrounded by tall grass which kept him guessing what was coming at him, but the shade was a wonderful spot to fall asleep and not only that, when the sun is directly over head, the leaves seem to shine done onto the ground. He plopped himself down and looked out into the tall grass, wondering what everyone was doing today. He had not seen Rage in a long time and she promised to come back to him and play.
"I wonder if she forgot..."

"Nix, I'll be back later, there's someone I have to go see," she had said with a nod, a smile, taking a few steps, then almost bursting into a run before Nix cut her off. "We're finally together in one place and you want to run off? Who is this you're meeting, why can't I come too? Come on Rage...tell me!" Nix had said playfully, knocking herself against Rage's side.
"A friend Nix, I said I'd go back, I made a promise, you can meet him later, I just...don't want to overwhelm him too much at once, he doesn't know that I can smile now..." nodding Rage went to go take another step, before she heard Nix giggling to herself...her sister and her thoughts, strange girl she was.
That had been the earlier part of the morning when the sun's rays darted through the branches of the tree she and Nix'Annada had nestled themselves under for the night, it was later now, sun higher in the sky, and she was already stepping within bounds of the Pridelands.
She hoped he still wasn't mad after last time, she had no way to explain her lack of smiling and spirit, but it was changing it seemed, though she still had the internal struggle within her body.
"Where would he have gone? I wonder if he's grown more at all..." Rage had a faint smile on her face, not fully yet, no, she wanted to keep it somewhat of a surprise for Od.

Od sprawled out under the tree, looking up into the leaves. The sunlight peirced the thousands of leaves to touch the soft ground. The wind rustled the trees making the light dance all around him. It was a warm day, a gentle breeze, it was really nice out-why, he would not mind going for a dip in the water hole if it weren't for doing it alone and have no idea where one was. He stretched out lightly before deciding what to do next. Everyday since he had met Rage, the Goddess of Rage (haha), he had always came back to this tree to see if she would return again. He thought that she had some sort of mechanical instinct to return to a certain area from time to time. The lion just waited there until she did
Climbing the tree for a better look around him, he noticed that the tall grass was starting to dull into a dying pale color.
"The rain hasn't come through lately..."
And what was even more surprising, the long expanse of tall grass that seemed to stretch for miles seems a lot smaller now. At first he thought it as himself growing older and bigger, but it really did look like the tall grass, the shelter for him and the concealment of dangers, was indeed getting smaller. The plants were slowly dying, they haven't gotten much water and with all this grass around, there must have been competition for water. He let out a sigh. If all the grass was gone, he could see anything that was coming to him, but that would mean that Rage has nowhere to hide anymore... then again, so wouldn't that evil monster.
Od looked out all around him to see if he could find that inky black mass of fur and feathers.

There was a tree, a certain tree, it was important, where she first saw the little green fuzzball, with that thought she gave a laugh, flicked her tail and changed course towards a tree in the distance. There was a bit more of a bounce in her step as she walked, she let her silver hued eyes take in everything around her things finally seemed to be looking up, but she couldn't take it for granted, she always had to be careful, always.
Ryu'Rage stopped for a moment, stretching her legs and back, hearing a few cracks she tried to relax, her back still ached a little bit, but it was slowly getting better, sometimes she wondered if she had hurt the earth more then it hurt her from the impact.
"I wonder where he is," she asked herself aloud, peering forward towards the tree, she couldn't really see anything, though she was getting closer. Stepping through the taller grass she continued along, eyes alert of trying to locate a certain green pelted lion.

He yet out a yawn that seemed to whip up a breeze that drowned it out. He closed it with a soft mew of confusion. That was strange. He looked around into the leaves of the tree to see the light still danced their ballet. He watched the lights cross as if a partner offering the other a hand where accepted they step off. With a flick of his tail, he distracted himself by looking out into the savannah again.
There she was.
He saw her, she was coming toward the tree, the big blur of black that moved like a omnious shadow... usually. However, she was more visible and much more, well, not omnious was for sure. He looked at her with an expression of delight and glee that he amost bound out of the tree. But, he would rather not have her sprint over and save him again like the last time he did. However... he had a plan to surprise her nevertheless. He looked up into the leaves again and their dance of light... bright lights made the green leaves translucent... it could... it will work. He moved up into the leaves where the light and green would protect him from view, moving around nicely to get himself onto a stable branch where he could watch the Goddess move.
With a chuckle he cleared his throat.
"Halt, female of winged nature... what brings you here to my roots?" he bellowed out deeply in a voice that was obviously not his own. It hurt his throat but Rage could not possible think it was him! After all, she has never heard him speak before... he chuckled to himself as he watched her from the leaves of the tree.

Rage continued along, musing to herself of what Od might think, hopefully he wasn't mad since the last time, mad she had not come sooner, that thought hung over her even now, even still when she believed she was drawing closer to see him again.
Though upon further expression, all she could see were leaves, nothing like Od, well..somewhat, but not in physical form of his green pelt, his eyes. Flicking her tail she peered around, almost ducking her head down low as if to check around the roots, nothing, no where, had he run away?
She hoped not.
Almost ready to turn back and try another place, a voice rang out into the stale air and she stopped, gave a listen and held back the smile that wished to grace her expression, not yet, it was a surprise after all.
"What brings me?" she asked light of voice, holding back the enthusiasm in her voice as if to put on a mask of uncertainty, "A search for a lost friend I fear, I had a surprise for them, yet it seems he has loomed away..." she stifled a giggle and waited, to see what 'the great tree' would say.

That single word was all he needed to peek his interest. Almost instantly as she spoke those words, his head pushed past the leaves and into the open with a grin.
"Surprise!?" he squeaked as he quickly rummaged through the leaves and branches carefully to the main branch than down to the trunk, slowly sliding down the slide of the tree, claws ripping away at the bark. "What is it? What is it? What is it?" was all the little green one could say as he moved on down from his spot, his surprise ended up as his own in the end. He smiled and purred as he hopped down onto the ground and bounded over to her*
With big wide eyes, he looked up at her, pawing at her to give up her secret.
"Where have you been, Rage!? I've been comin' back here for so long," he spoke out, narrowing his eyes in a mock anger expression. He had been for a while but he just ended up falling asleep looking up at the dancing lights of the leaves. It was usually when he woke up that he climbed the tree, find that she is not there, and then head on back home to a good meal with the family.

The black goddess of Rage watched as a small green pelted lion she knew all too well revealed himself and made his way down the tree from which he had been so secretively hidden in. Though he wasn't so small anymore, he was growing older, which meant she was even older still, though Od was having a much more grand life then she.
"oh so what is this, paying tricks on me?" Rage asked softly, holding her smile back now, even when he had a pouty mock angry expression upon him, "and in such a hurry for the surprise are you?"
She tilted her head at him, and raised her paw to ruffle the fur atop his head, she wasn't paying attention now, and her smile slipped over her features, "Oh, I've been busy, but I never forgot to came back, I made a promise, remember?"

Od tilted his head in return.
"So? I was bored and I just didn't want to come at you... Besides, it was fun!" he mewed. He had no idea what drove him to do such a thing as climb the tree and pretend to be some unknown creature. However, the thought of conversing in that way would have been amusing. "And I'm just a cub, you can't blame me for wanting to know about a surprise, right?" he chuckled.
He almost gasp from the sight of something he has rarely seem, actually, perhaps once or almost one when he met her the first time. A smile. He squeaked and jumped at her.
"Rage, you smiled again!"

Rage gave a laugh at Od and quirked a brow, "A cub?" she ruffled the fur on his head again, "You are getting older you know, so much bigger then when I had first met you," she said with a nod. Whether or not Od wanted to be all grown up she wasn't sure of, but she was sure that he would do just fine as he got older and older.
He'd do great things in his life.
Unlike her.
She stifled a chuckle and raised a paw when he jumped at her, closing her eyes and gave a smile for him, "Yes, yes, surprised?" she asked thoughtfully, "I found my sister finally Od, she helped bring it from me, I wanted to come show you."

"I am not! I am just as small as ever. See?" he questioned, pawing up at her to prove that he was still a 'cub'. In other words, as long as he was smaller than Rage, he was still a cub. He looked at her and jumped again and again. "Even if I jumped, I'm still smaller than you, Rage, it's not fair! Come down here!"
He seemed happiest when Rage was around. She seem to be the only one who would really play with him.
Usually.
"Actually, I am. You don't smile too much, especially after last time. I mean, you were so mad at that other cub that you just frowned a lot. And then you disappeared when the storm was around so I don't think you smiled that time..." he paused for a moment, recounting the events of when they ran into the mini monster. He remembered some things vaguely, but that stuck clear to Od's mind.
"Sister? Where is she? Is she around? Where have she been and why isn't she here with us? What's her name? Can I meet her?"

Rage laughed and shook her head, he wasn't a cub, he was getting older he was! But she didn't want to repeat it, did he want to stay forever young? He wouldn't be able which brought a saddening thought to her mind, but she pushed it away, now was not a time for sad moments or thoughts.
Crouching down so that she laid upon the earth she gave a smile, poked him lightly with her paw as he pawed at her, "I'm here I am, see?"
He seemed so happy, that was good.
He seemed so interested in Nix is made her laugh, what would Nix think of him? "More of a literal sister, friends since we were little, we are all each other has really, her name is Nix'Annada, or Nix, and I told her that I was going to come find you on my own, and yes you can," she said with a nod then taking a deep breath.

Od propped up on her muzzle a little with a purr, looking directly into her eyes. It seemed odd to have something so large as her to come down to his eye level. he found it funny. Od chuckled and nuzzled her the best he could before he flopped over.
"Yeah I see you, how can I not? You are big and black and plus, you have those big wings."
It was true, she was big and hard to miss, but that is what he liked about her. That way, when he is was up in the tree, he could find her so much more easy than looking through the tall grass.
"Though, I have to admit, it is getting harder to climb up and down the tree now..."
"Nix? That's a strange name... but she sounds like a good one if she knew you as a cub. That means you must be really young then if she is still alive too!" he chuckled. It never crossed his mind that she was friends with another Goddess... he had only known Rage as the only friend he has. "And here you are, finding me. So when can I meet her?"

True, dumb question, or statement rather, she was rather hard to miss amongst the green, unlike Od of course who could blend right in on cue whenever and wherever. Flicking her tail she gave a laugh, shook her head, "Not really young, really old Od, she's almost the same age as I am Od, only I'm six days older then her."
Rage would hold that over Nix for all time.
She smiled at that thought.
"She's a goddess too Od, of lightning, and soon, not today but soon, alright?"

"Oh! So then she must be really old too! But that means she must be almost as old as my mom than." he chuckled. He just called his mother old, strange feeling, but he felt a little comical. He knew Rage was an adult, her size was a sure sign of that, and this Nix must be the same size if they were the same age.
"Wait, she's a Goddess too? So then how old are you two!? I thought she was a mortal, that's why I said young... I mean, how was I suppose to know that you knew another Goddess," he pondered about this Nix, Goddess of Lightning. She must be rather bright since lightning lights up the sky during the storms. But that must mean she brings rain too since it always rains when it storms. He pounded his paws together like a gesture of figuring something out.
"Maybe she can come to the tree some time, this place has been suffering a bit of a drought. See, all the tall grass is dying away..."
