 It might have seemed. Death had walked the earth again, as a young pup wondered across the land of flowers. He was sent to gather up some flowers...
outside surprisingly from the graveyard emerged dazzling flowers. Of all kinds and beauty. His paws wandered through the flowers. Not really caring about them much. "Dunno what they want anyway." He said harshly at his father's demand for him to get flowers. Flowers. out of all things...
His sight watched the gravestone that he had marked in his head as he picked the flowers. "Im doing this.. because I want to make you pretty." He commented under his breath. Harshly cold to be added to the tone in his voice. Upgooting some flowers from the patches of flowers. The morning sun wasnt there to bother him as much..so it wasnt that bad.

Seabhac  It was the great tragedy of his existence, Devon often thought, that he was born with a searing desire for flight yet had only tiny wings.
In secret he practiced. He called it practice; it was more futile than that. It was useless, grounded flapping at the vast, mocking sky. It was all in vain. He was built all wrong. He could never fly.
But he had to try.
Through the grass he galloped, all of the fins on his body fluttering along with his wings, his eyes narrowed with wild determination. When he had enough momentum he bunched his muscles, flared his nostrils, closed his eyes, and launched himself forward... upward... hoping. He soared through the air. His stomach flattened against his backbone. The wind whipped his fur and the sun warmed him and he was doing it. He was doing it! He was flying! He had conquered his--
The ground smashed rudely into him. He flipped over and over, bouncing and skidding along like a small pebble. When he finally came to a halt his limbs were all jumbled up and his head was spinning. He lay still but opened his eyes. Bright colors wheeled around -- the blue sky taunted him and the green grass clung to him. And there were other colors, which he eventually discerned to be flowers. Flowers.
He made a deep, raw growling noise and closed his eyes in exhaustion. Not exhausted by running, but by the failure... Nothing was as exhausting as that.

 While his attention was set on the flowers. Something past him which almost made him roll himself but he made his paws state his position and hold it. His tail flung up as his head stuck out of the flowers in a delayed reaction. Watching this massive big creature thing roll by. What the-? He thought. Then he dropped the flowers and started running after the big thing. At the end of the long flower patch is where the small skeleton boy peered his red eyes. Wow. What a fall he thought as he got closer to the the other. What happened anyway- he thought. Disregarding the fact he hated being around others - but from the looks of it. He couldn't tell if it was another or a rolling stone!
When he finally getting closer. Feeling the flowers under him, trying to dodge them so he wouldn't hurt them. Skipping around and when he got close enough- !!!!
He didn't know what even happened! He must have lost his footing around the time while he was running because he now saw the sky then the flowers bashing around him. When he finally felt that he stopped- He was looking up at the sky as his back and rump were to the other thing. His tail flung in his face and he saw as his hind legs danglings above his head. He blinked in confusion of how that happened!? He bright red blood eyes to the black caressing around them. The clouds seemed to fly by slowly as he understood he went too fast. What happened to the thing he was looking for? Hm.

To his surprise, another thing crashed down hear him. He lurched onto his paws and confronted the thing with his head low and his shoulders hunched -- as if he expected it to be something hostile, which was ridiculous. He realized it was ridiculous when he saw the pup on its back looking dazed. In his chest there was a small grunt, almost amused, and he tilted his head quizzically. The gold glittering in his sharp aqualine eyes seemed kind. "Well, well, wot've we got 'ere?" he rumbled. "A liddle lad, eh?" He hopped forward and peered at the child. "Did yeh hurt yehrself when yeh fell?"

His eyes went small when he saw it was another. "I could be saying the same for you." He said relunctantly. His right fin lopped on his face as he blew it back in to place.
He examined closely this 'thing'. It looked so odd. Gold shimmering in its eyes. Wow. Interesting thing he was eh? Well he supposed it was a he from his voice. His paw lifted beyond his head and put his paw on the nose of the other. "Too close." He tried to get up but he found he couldn't. His body somehow must have hurt itself... I mean. He sure didn't tell his legs to tangle together eh? "Mph." He tried again and failed. Drat. What good timing his body had for doing such a thing. Hopefully his body will activate in a few seconds til it knows that it got her- then recover from it.

"Aye, sure yeh could," he said. "But Ah'm fein. Ah've 'ad worse falls." The kid had a strange white face and strange glowing red eyes, but Devon had no reason to hold that against him. He chuckled when his nose was pushed away and took a step back. Bit angry was he, this one? Devon understood that. Upon watching the pup try to move, his already angular brows pointed further downward toward his nose. Something didn't look quite right. He refrained from getting closer this time and asked, "Somethin' wrong wi' yehr legs?"

".....Like if you care." His head shook from one side to the next. Gauh. His spine felt weird and he tried to get up again and another failed attempt made him lay his head back down on the ground. Why couldn't he move! He thrashed his head up but went back to the ground...
He finally stopped and watched the clouds graze over the clouds.. numa like clouds... he sighed some in disappointment. His tail flung up, was just about the only thing else he could move.
"And I dont think its only my legs." He added coldly.

Devon smirked at the response of the pup. A true cynic! He liked that. It was amusing, like looking at a young version of himself. He was still a bit concerned, though, because it seemed that there really was something wrong. He came off as saturnine a lot of the time, but he didn't like to see a child suffer. Even if this one was not suffering all that much. He didn't appear to be in pain. That was odd. As with the red eyes, however, he shrugged this off; there was nothing wrong with not being in pain.
Since the kid seemed okay, Devon flopped down and rested his chin on his paw, inspecting the younger Numa from afar. "Ah'm guessin' that yeh don' want me tae stay, tha' right?" His deep, gruff voice was mildly playful, as much as it could be.

"Again. I don't care." He added yet again without really wanted to talk at all. Ah. His curiousity yet again got him in to trouble. He just has too much curiousity for a little one. And he likes to see what it is that fills his needs of cursiousity.
Ah. Why had he done that. Why. His mother even says not to get to far from the gars anyway. Hmph. Oh well. Whats done is done. His paws twitches some. He won't give up. he pushed himself up again and finally he felt his back loosen. Sitting up finally. He gave a sigh of relief; then he started falling back- ...
...
...
WHA!? how did he get on the ground again. Yes. His spine but have went through a shot to not be able to move for a while. Upon impact something must have happened. Now he Really couldn't move anything! Not even his head! His foot gave a twitch. That was even overexerting himself at this point. He watched the clouds again. Not very happy to see them.

His wariness spiked and he frowned, rising lightly to his paws. "Woss the matter, lad?" He didn't move any closer, respecting the kid's space, but his frown deepened. It looked as if the pup was unable to move. "Do yeh need some help?" Of course he had a feeling that there was nothing he could do, and he thought that he was about to be told that, but he still had to ask.

"I can't... feel my body..." He mumbled. Almost forgetting how he struggled to get up the first time. His tail couldn't even move either! And asking someone for help was not an opinion..
"....I..can't feel.." The expression on his face changed; in to a struggling one, when he tried to get up again.
"GAUH!" He bellowed...His fins opened wide. It would go away soon... he hoped. Looking weak in front of another person... he felt somewhat bad.

"Hey, hey," he said, "Don' worry. Feelin' not'ing is better than feelin' pain, aye?" The falcon Numa shifted positions, looking resolute. He was going to help whether he was wanted or not. He was not just going to leave someone lying helpless. "Yeh got any friends or parents nearby? Ah'll feind one, if yeh like." It would have been more to his liking to carry the younger one somewhere since he didn't want to leave him alone, but he wasn't sure he should pick him up, even if he was allowed.

"....Mother is with sister. they left a few weeks ago.. so I have no one. Except my aunt." Totally disregarding his father from the conversation. For yoru. Arma wasn't even alive. He tried to move a lil... which he did at least. His paws curled in front of his chest...
"She is gummy." He commented... "But I bid you not to bother yourself." His small talons; made a waving motion... Really! He didn't want to bother others with his misfortune. "It will pass..." He looked away. "I think." Not sure if it will now. His eyes went half lidded.. almost now exhausted of trying to move.

Disregarding the request not to bother, Devon asked, "Where can Ah feind yehr aunt?" He wondered what was wrong, that the kid thought it was going to pass. At least he seemed to be regaining some motion. "Oh, an' woss yehr name? Need tae know wot tae tell her, when Ah feind 'er."
