How did you react to chapter 99 ((or episode 35)). I kinda feel pathetic for admiting this, but I cried myself to sleep the night I read it. I just didn't see it coming at all..one second Mello is being all smexy on his motorcycle, the next...TT.TT And I couldn't tell anybody because all my friends weren't there in the manga yet...That was fun, let me tell ya...
So...what did you do?

When I first read it I kind of read it fast (like I usually do) and it didn't affect me as badly as it does now. But I still was sad that Mello had just died, like he wasn't important anymore or something. But I just recently re-read the manga and I did tear up and just stare at my floor for a good few minutes. It just doesn't seem fair, but life isn't fair I guess.

Hmm... well, I actually saw the episode first, so I'll start with that.
When I watched it, this was still around the time when I slowly began to convert to loving Mello and Matt, so, I thought it wouldn't affect me that much.
Ho, boy, was I wrong. I freaked out at every second I saw of Matt and Mello at that moment, and and their deaths, I teared up so bad, I had to force them back to stop myself from crying.
[ It was still during the day... everyone was up, so, I couldn't just randomly cry like that or else my mom would've given me that, 'oh god, my daughter's a freak' look. Even if it was only for a minute, she could see right through me. xD ]
I knew it was going to happen, I knew it was coming, but, just... just.. their deaths! Especially Matt, in his own little glory. Mello... I was just sad by the way they showed his death. It was... unsatisfying, but, it had to happen that way, I guess.
In the manga, it affected me in the same way, however, not as bad. I guess, it's because, I've seen the episode first... but, both still manage to make me extremely sad, even now.
So, no, you're not pathetic at all. I feel the same way, when I think about it. It's nice to know that I'm not alone.

Yeah, Im pretty sure that whole BOOK pissed me off...i was literally flipping thru all the pages going: WHY IS EVERYBODY DDIEEIINGG?????
And yeah, omg cuz i was in the car with a friend when i was reading it, and the first, like, THREE PAGES matt dies and i was all like: WHAT??? WHAT THE (censored) oohh no...
It just wasnt right.... crying
and does anyone agree with me that HAL sent matt to his death???
SERIOUSLY!! i think she had somethin for mello and stuff, and she sent all of takada's bodyguards after matt while she was all like "I'll go after mello mahself and maybe he'll see me NAKED again XD"
yeah, im pretty sure that i DONT like her >>
and the fact that she looked so upset when mello DID die....>> ooooooooh, i just DDOONNTT like her... scream
(its not like she ever had a chance with mello anyway HAH!!! rofl )
but yeah, with the manga, i just got angry beyond belief and sulked for a few days....
but oh god, the anime...
actually SEEING matt get shot down like that....
it just ripped my heart out and stomped all over it..
i called up my friend and i was crying lawl
she was all like "I TOLD you not to watch it, you loser!!!"
and i was all like
"oh god i AM a losseerr!! *cry cry*"
and yeah.....that was my death note experience..

Haha yeah, Hal....she's stupid...
though, I thought it was hysterical when they were in her bathroom and she was all like "So, are you just going to live in my bathroom then? I wouldn't mind <3333"
Like, HITTING on him and stuff, and then Mello pointed a gun to her head and was all like "get dressed, b***h"
talk about rejection...
and i can just see Matt outside sleeping in the car with a little sticky note on his forehead saying
"Went to go talk to Hal
Love you <3"

I know! Watching it made me sooo pissed! I wanted to go in there and torture every single bodyguard until they cried for their mommies.
Has anyone else had fantasies where you interfere with the plot and save both their lives? I have many versions.
Version 1: A giant domo head pops up out of the ground and encases Matt in a protective shell. Inside await many fangirls ready to take him to Mello. Once they get there while Takada is taking off her bra she gets roundhouse kicked into oblivion by Matt before she can use the note.
I don't feel like posting the others, they're kind of dramatic. >_>;
And yes, I don't like Slutty McSlutslut either. Or Miss b***h Takada.

I hate Hal with a passion--It's all her fault that Matt died! She was just jealous that Matt and Mello were in loove! Augh...stupid little whore. GAH! I just wanna chew her arm off!
Anywho, to the point we go~ I didn't cry....because both deaths were spoiled for me. *sigh* But that didn't stop me from dying inside. Oh yes, I'm still trying to come back to life. WHY DO ALL MY FAVORITE CHARACTERS DIE!?!?!?! First L, then Matt, then Mello!!! AUGH!
