Ok, so I had the most awesome idea for a theme for these guys. Well, I think it's awesome anyway.
The summoning tomes! I mean, these guys are supposed to be books come to life, right? And those books are already magical, right? So why can't they do the same thing? The ribbon bookmarks could turn into the tails, and you know how some cats have white bellies and up there chest? They could have that, only made to look kinda like pages. And then have patterns like the cover of the tomes on the rest of their bodies, one the black one and the other the white one.
It could even be a mini-series. Could do the two dragons, the owl and the raven, maybe even the frog and the toad though those are so simple I'm not sure how well it'd work. But I just want the books, though maybe with dragon wings? I dunno about that last bit, but I think these guys would turn out way awesome, with or without the wings. ^^
And so, I am starting on this quest, which will most likely be very long, even with me liquidating every single item I own that I can possibly live without. (Still debating about my Kiki Kitty - she'd be a huge help in getting the gold I need, but I do love her dearly...)
