Okies, this thread might sound a little stupid, but I thought it might be fun to share. >.> I actually have a lot of bad memories despite how much I love this game, but nothing's perfect right? stressed

My first bad memory was the first BCNM 40 I did. I was invited to do Worm's Turn with a group of people and we decided that whomever had an orb would get the drops. Only a few of us did, and others tagged along to just be there. The first guy that put in his orb was a cute little taru so he was QM. Before the end of the battle (we were just killing off the last worm) the leader switched QM back to himself and took everything. Needless to say, we were all pissed. He even had the nerve to ask me for a Warp 2. I found out a few months ago that he's on the Alla blacklist and I haven't seen him or his other characters on the game since. Poor taru guy. crying

The second worst memory was getting my damn BLM AF Gloves in Garlaige Citadel. It was two nights before I was supposed to leave on my UK trip and my friends and I went in to go find the coffer. My sneak and invis started kept wearing no matter how many times my friend applied it and the last time was dreadful. I was in the middle of a bunch of skeletons and I couldn't get out in time before they both wore. I was aggroed by everything and died. My friend died too and he delvled. I felt horrible. I asked him to come help me and got him killed. Has that happened to you guys before? Maybe...I just felt so sickened by it.

Okies I'm done ranting and crying. LOL. The floor is open to everyone else. blaugh

Oooo... I got one. Well a friend of mine started playing and he needed help with his 2-3 mission. In case you forget, that is the dragon at the burning circle. Well, I offered to help right away, because I love that fight. Probably because I'm a monk. biggrin Anyway, I go to Windy to meet him there. It's about 12pm at night. I figured I'd be in bed by midnight, that night, but it didn't happen. Well, I wait for awhile, not really watching where he is... Then I notice he's talking to a couple guys in the LS about his Kazam keys. 1:00am: I finally figure out that he's out there getting his keys, and he wouldn't make that clear to me. whee I decide to stay around anyway, he said he'd be right there for the dragon, so I just have some emote fun with random people. 4laugh By 2:45am him and two other people get into Windurst. We finally take off to get to Giddeous (I'm not sure how to spell that). Well, we have some trouble getting everyone to the burning circle. So we get there at about 4:00am. We wait for another party to get out of a BCNM and we start to head into it. But for some odd reason... it wouldn't let us in. We sit there for about 15min trying to figure it out. Then we relize, my friend did not flag the mission completely! So he runs back to Windy alone, and then comes back. Well, I set my alarm and decide to catch a little shut eye while we were waiting for him. I accidently set my alarm for PM and not AM. So when he gets back... about 4:45am. They get into the burning circle, not knowing I was still asleep. Well they do until I wake up. Of course, I was starteled and get over to it, but it wouldn't let me in because it had been too long. I was so pissed (excuse my French) gonk I just logged there, and went back to sleep as the sun came up.

Cliffs:
-decided to do 2-3 mission at 1am
-got to the fight at 4am whee
-LS member didn't have it flagged
-fell asleep
-he came back
-I didn't wake up in time, and they were fighting when I woke.
-Got "ond"
-Went back to sleep at sunrise

Lesson:
Be aware FFXI can ruin your sleep scedule. eek

My bad expirience (one of them) was doing mission 5-1 with the shitload of skelly's and the level cap. It was all good in the fight, because of our set-up, WAR (me) MNK, MNK, BLM, WHM, SMN. Then out of nowhere BOTH the MNK DC, leaving me alone to tank and deal damage to all the skelly's except 1, which we had already killed... I took off my Great Sword, put on high level knuckles, spammed Dodge, berserk, agressor and Mighty Strikes, and smacked some skelly's pretty nicely. WHM ran out of MP, BLM got aggroed, and the SMN refused to recast Garuda to give Blink to the poor BLM, and I was running out of HP nicely. Then the ONE of the Monks comes back, with a "HOLY s**t YOU GUYS ARE ALMOST DEAD!" Followed by my "NO s**t! YA THINK?" He hundred fists the Skelly on the BLM, kills it, and I switch back to my GS, use an Icarus Wing, and land a nice hard slash to finish the deal.

Another bad one (shorter one) was in Qufim. I was waiting for a pt for about an hour, so I jumped on a Invite...at night. I died 3 times by Wights getting there before I quit and logged out crying

This is why 5-1 is Bard Ownage. just play "Sleep the Skele" while the rest pummel Archlich into oblivion >_>

(I can Horde just about anything and everything, but put me in Steamed Sprouts, and i can't sleep a single thing ; ; damn that Bard curse!)

Oh god I just remembered another horrid moment in my gaming career. 2 words here...
PROMYVION-DEM
It was a decent set up. WAR (me), MNK, WHM, BLM, PLD, RNG. This was just after RNG was nerfed, so she was still gettin used to it. We get to the top floor, and we're trying not to get any aggro.

The PLD gets aggro from a Weeper, and everybody starts to run, and I say we can kill it, or it will drag aggro from fast running mobs. They get back right as I'm about to die, and I get healed, and voked off of. We do a decent job (on the final floor those mobs are IT+++) and we FINALLY kill the s**t. The BLM gets the urge to cast stone when the battle is just about to end and pulls the toughest possible mob with Auto-Magic-Targeting.

Now, I'm usually the brave one to say stand your ground and fight. Screw my pride, I screamed "{RUN AWAY!!} {RETREAT!!}" and sure as hell we did. If you can imagine a huge monster chasing 2 elvaans, 1 taru, 2 mithras and a hume, you'd find us. Dropping like flies. First the PLD (poor elv) then me (poor hume) followed by the Monk(poor other elv), and I almost cried laughing when the BLM(damn taru) got smashed and asked "Why me!?"

So the RNG, and WHM lived, but still had to come out for us. WHM came out and raised us 1 by 1, in order of who was closest, which was who was killed last. BLM, MNK, WAR, PLD. The MNK and BLM went to zone at the spire, to rest for a bit and recharge 2 hr special abilities (second promy of the day) Before we hear the the MNK scream NO YOU F***ING MORON! and the BLM runs out to "find us" He leads the WHM to aggro, and I voke the thing and die right as I was zoning. Great. Weakened with lowered stats now XD.

So 15 min later, we're all ready to go. We all zone into the BCNM to kill Progenerator, and the BLM casted the wrong Elemental Seal status effect. Casted POISON INSTEAD OF BLIND!!!!!!! And with the progenerator shitting out his little babies faster than we can say "Holy s**t" things were looking grim.

BLM overnuked with his 2 hr (which barely did s**t) and died.

PLD died after Invincible wore off.

WAR died for the 4th time total In promyvion dem (1 case I didnt say) and with my final act, hit that b***h with a Terro-Anima. And then I see the most BEAUTIFUL words ever. "Ranger uses Barrage" "Ranger uses Eagle Eye Shot" And she was in the "Kill-Zone" and then...what made me get sentimental... "Ranger defeats Progenerator"

I get my Cutscene, and wait patiently outside the Crag to get my face lifted off the ground, and I finally can say "Promyvion-Dem is my b***h" xd

Worst memory? When mums credit card declined and she didn't get it fixed untill like a day after my level 32 war was deleted stressed I had to buy an entire new friggin FFXI CD set and re-install and re-update not to mention start all over again.
