It was one of those days. One of those days where the sun was shining. Not a cloud in the sky. Where the grass looked like cut emerald, the water like drops of sapphire and diamonds. Birds flitted from branch to branch with their ever joyous tunes on the air. Everything was right in the world. Peace, harmony and love ruled all.

Well... maybe not all.

One feline was not having such a good day. From the moment she woke till then, every thing had been a disaster. She hadn't eaten breakfast, nor the midday meal, she couldn't catch anything. Stepped in some large creatures hidden droppings by accident. Which earned a long bath in a pond. A pond which had tried to trap her paws in it's silky, gooey bottom. Her fur had started clumping when it dried, and no amount of grooming would right it.

Bastet's pendant got caught on a branch when she was running. Almost choking her when she was suddenly lifted off her feet by it. The femme's yowling and hissing could have been heard for miles as she argued with the offending bush limb.

Now she just felt like crying. Plopped down in the middle of a small clearing, ears down against her skull and cursing her day between dry sobs.

Nothing was going her way!
