Story starting:

Gaius awake in what appeared to be the ruins of an castle. Several races, and classes of men seem to be around him. "Sir, what are your orders?" asked one of them. "I see," said Gauis. "What happening?" Gaius notices his clothing is different, but doesn't show it. He didn't know what to think now. "The enemy has taken up root in several areas, and seek to claim this plot of land. Reinforcement will be coming in an couple of hours. If we last long enought we can outnumber and flank our foe." said an soldier. Gaius realises his a** is on the line as well as the lives of the men around, that he was some sort of leader to them, and they needed him. Suddenly his mind flash to the events of before he fell asleep. He was reading this book, and wonder if peace would truly come to the lands. But if this is his wish, then why is there war in this land. For now he will lead the men in this place and figure out what's going on. "I see. Tell me whatever you can about the current movements and what our foe has, and I can give out orders." Gaius said. "Yes sir." said the soldier.

Alex is wandering down an forest. He seem lost, and wonder why he was here. Also his clothing seem different. He beings to think if this was an dream. Soon several men seem to surround him. "Looks, like we got an lonesome traveler. Stupid mistake punk." said the leader of the group. "I see, so we can't come to an agreement where no one will die." said Alex. "No." said the leader. The leader smiles and his men go to attack Alex.

Gaius was staring out the ruins of an city below. Thought he didn't see the city before in his life, he knew all about it. How this place was once apart of an great war, which destroy it. That this land was once an popular merchant route, but an vile general commited genocide on this city to ensure his own greedy ambitions for power, later on it became an outpost for his quest for domination of the land, but was crush by the ruling party. This place was once made an memorial of the land, but is now being used in another war. He would of laught at the irony that it would be apart of another civil war. But on which side was he on... oh yes, he was on the empires side. It seem four generals have defy the empire and kill the previous royal family. Now he sets to rebuild the empire and dethrone the traitors to the crown, and call himself emperor. He goes to yell an command to his army.

"Men, of our fair kingdom. We are here today to defend the ideas of what our empire stand for. For peace, and prosperity, for hope and the chance to get an fair pay for our hard work. Now dictators want to rule the land with an iron fist to stamp out the rays of hope our nation have. I say we do not let them have the chance to do so. Now, men we stand and fight. If any of those cowards dare try to attack our base we stomp them out. We must defend this base, till reinforce arrive. Once so, the rebels will have to fight two fronts. Now, do what I command of you, and I promise you that you will have high chances of surviving this battle. Alex had slain several of them attacking men. Their bodies lie blood soak on the floor. "What the..." said the leader. "Dammit, why didn't I bring the healers...." Part of him wanted to feel sick for what he done, but at the same time he seem to not show it or do any actions. How many bodies has he truely slain here, or to be more exact, how many died to this Alex, if that what he called himself here. Soon clapping is heard. "Who's there?" asked Alex. "Oh, but an humble thief. Don't worry, I am not foolish enought to attack you now, thought it would be an good chance to strike down an opponent. But then again you don't look like your from the southern army nor the rebels of this area. Yet you are an home warrior. How did you get that way, and where you from?" Asked the thief. "I won't say either. I am just an mercenary seeking my own stake in this world." said Alex. "Then why not sign up with the rebels if you want power, or maybe join the army?" asked the thief. "Neither seem to please me, If I fight, I fight for my own beliefs or gold, but not those of some government or politcal group. I won't be an puppet to them." said Alex. "I see. Then I'll see you later." said the thief. "Maybe, I will work for you sometime." Soon the thief was as quick as gone. Alex didn't want to chase him. He soon goes to pick the corpses for anything useful that could help him like an map or something that indicated where he was.

From where Gaius was looking, it seem most of the forces were at the gates of where the fortifed ancient fort used to be. Thought the area hasn't been used in ages since the previous war it was seen. It was being renovated, and one of the major areas before this war began, but the city hasn't recieve much, but it appeared that the reinforcements if they arrive would have an semi easy time in the fight ahead. The majority of the enemy forces were at the gate, thinking they can either bash it down, or out muscle the forces currently inside. Thought there were an few forces trying to find flaws on the other sides of the base, they were few in number but he had order men to go and check out on them. The castle he was in, was on steep hill. That meant they currently they had the high ground, which he cold use his best snipers to hit either key targets, or random ones more easier then the enemy could with them as well as his lesser archers, snipers, and hunters have more lee way with their weapons. He also order his men with melee weapons to guard paticular areas where their could be point of entry so he could guard his archers. He order most of his spell caster to use defensive magic, and if the time occur to use offensive if they had the ability to do so. It wasn't till an little while after he gave the orders did the actually attack on the castle began.


Alex didn't find any maps on them. Whomever they were, they were expects in knowing the landscape of the area. But he found some money, and an few items worth carrying. He knew he didn't have enought strength to carry all the items that were before him, plus some of the items had blood on them, plus he had some blood on him so he knew he needed to clean up his clothing if he could. But he was lost in the forest so he had to be careful to not get into more trouble since there could be others who may wanted vengeance for the death of the fallen comrades, thought he was only defending himself. But then he was the only survivor and people might think differently. But he wasn't concern with what people thought of, since he was more concern with knowing where he was at and where he would go. So he went at an random direction hoping he could get to an place, stream or river to clean up, or if he thought they were friendly people.

The siege had begun. Already James's troops were moving up the hill towards the enemies possition. James was trying to move around to the castles reas while the lancemen had nearly reached their possition. Archers were raining arrows apon the ruins ducking back after each shot. James had only 10 knights with him making an 11 man shocktroop. If the pikemen did their job right while helping the swordsmen his knights should be able to sneak through a hole in the back of the ruins. James only hoped it was low enough to the ground to reach. or at least get their ropes attached.
