[edit][[Heh forgot prp ^^;;; shame on me]][/edit]
It was a nice peaceful eveing. Borealis stood there mane blowing in the soft summer gusts, it'd been a hot summer it seems, the night was a bit more bareable.
His multi-colored tail flickered softly as he stood there, it'd be a while since he stood still just to take things in, the grass was nice here blowing around him causing ripples of light playing as the sun sank, blue fadeing to orange then red and soon to be over took by the blackness of night.
His ears flickered waiting to see who or what if anything would meander by. Maybe someone worth talking to would flutter by, he felt like a nice little chat. Maybe about the weather or something interesting to speak of.

Journey trotted around, dancing in the twilight. She hummed an innocent tune softly to herself, her eyes closed and concentrating all of her might on keeping the tune.
She took a sudden turn around a tree and found herself facing a stallion, seemingly enjoying the summer night.
"Oi!" she cried, nearly falling backward as she saw the stallion. "You scared me! Nearly didn't see you there." It was true; the stallion had some sort of shimmer about him that caused him to blend into the night, making it hard for her to see him.

Borealis paused, looking towards the female that'd almost ran into him and tilted his head softly. "Oh?" lofting a brow the male looked around, it was darker most likely he was hard to see in the darkness of nightfall, "Forgive me Miss. I suppose standing in thought would hide someone as dark as me." A bow of his head he then turned back to watching the grass.
Tail flickered looking around, he shifted. "The night is nice though, even if there are surprises at any turn you take."

Journey folded her wing around her chest, feeling her heart thump somewhere up in her throat; she hadn't felt this surprised in quite some time.
"Maybe, if one wants to be hidden, one shouldn't stand in the middle of the clearing," she joked loftily, laughing a little. "But I do agree, kind sir, that the night is one of the nicer ones."
For some odd, unknown reason, Journey felt comfortable near the stallion now that she had been scared half to death by him.

Giving a half chuckle he looked at her for a second, "Indeed, but you didn't see me even though I wasn't hiding." Having pointed this out he looked back up to the sky. "Yes and not a sign of rain. It really makes the heat of the day bearable."
He had noticed her wings when he gave a glance at her, "Miss do you mind if I ask if you can really fly with those wings?" He'd not seen a winged soquili, atleast not to his memory. So he was a bit curious, more so than he'd normally be.

Journey smiled warmly, backing up a pace and replying, "You mean these old things?" She reared up on her hind legs, kicking her front legs out in front of her, and spread her wings wide. She pumped them a few times, to keep her stuck in the rearing position, before slowly lowering to the ground.
"Of course I can," she answered simply. She quirked her eyebrow and joined the stallion's side, staring up at the sky.
"It really is beautiful," she said dreamily. She glanced at the stallion. "I'm Journey."

Watching her Borealis watched her with a curious gaze and grinned, "That is truely interesting. You must feel rather free up in the sky." His tail gave another flicker as he watched her.
As she came back to stand by his side he nodded, "Welcome back to the ground." It was said with an almost playful air in it.
"It is, Nightfall and Sunrise are my two favorite times of the day." He said softly, "So mysterious as they come up, sometimes something different happens depending on where you are watching them."
"Nice to meet you Journey, Name's Borealis." The stallion said as he looked back at the lady.

"The sky is truly the limit, Borealis," she grinned, moving away from the stallion so she could spread her wings by her side.
"I don't really dislike the rain," she said suddenly. "But, my goodness, it makes my wings so itchy!" She chuckled a little as she reached back and scratched a spot on her wing with her teeth, pulling her head back and spitting out a damp feather.

Nodding softly he looked up, thinking as it were. Wondering what it'd be like to have wings and to fly, something maybe a smaller foal would htink of yes. Although to him it was something that cued curiousity.
He paused and chuckled, "No the rain's not that bad, it just sometimes leaves one wishing for a nice place to nap." His tail flickered tilting his head as she mentioned making her wings itchy. "I suppose it would, I don't reconk feathers are ment to get wet. Unless one was a duck." He watched the damp feather float to the ground.

Journey frowned as she itched her wings again, spitting out more feathers as she spoke.
"Wings are great and all," she said. "But, my goodness, are they troublesome when one itches." She folded her wings at her side again, eager to stop scratching them, but found herself rubbing them against themselves to ease the urgency.
"Rain... beautiful, but bloody annoying," she answered finally. "Itchy is not good for me."

Borealis frowned watching Journey and shook his head. "No, I wouldn't think it is. Maybe you're loseing you're feathers like birds do. Don't they lose them and grow them back?" His tail flickered pondering over this, that might be a bit off for a horse to loose it's feathers but it's was all a possiblity.
"Well I didn't see any water oaks asking for rain so I think you should be good for tonight." He nodded watching her wings twitch and move to scratch themselves.

"Exactly like birds," she muttered, cringing as a sharp pang of itchiness caused her to nearly spasm. "We lose old, damaged feathers and replace them with new, healthy ones."
Journey looked back up at the night sky, forgetting all about her itchy wings and vows not to scratch them. A star shot across the dark sky, causing the stars behind it to not look as special.
"Make a wish," she murmured, closing her eyes and concentrating on her one wish.

Backing up a step he watched her blinking. "It looks rather like an unplesant process...."
He followed her gaze back up to the sky and watched the star pass. Catching the faint murmur he did the same for a moment before looking towards the grass and trees. Shifting upon his hooves he soon realized he was getting tired of standing around watching the night sky, it'd passed and now the excitement of even the shooting star wore off.
"Would you like to go for a walk Miss Journey?" The question slipped out rather formal from his muzzle as he pondered over which might be the best way to head if she agreed to the walk. Surely there was much more to see this night than just the sky,

"I would love a walk," Journey breathed, her eyes remaining closed.
After a moment, she opened her eyes and smiled warmly. "Where to?" she asked cheerfully, wriggling her butt excitedly and fluttering her wings by her sides.
"Lead the way."

Borealis watched her for a moment a soft smile crept onto his muzzle. Mayhaps he'd found a friend someone to walk with and talk to. "Oh I dont know where. I just feel like walking. Maybe we should just follow where our hooves take use. Normally doens't get me into trouble."
There the male nodded before starting a slow pace watching grasshoppers fly as he walked along in the grass. "Do you live with humans?" Borealis's head titled as he seemed rather curious if she did or not. It might be that the male was over stepping his curiuosness, but he always did like to know more about the ones he was talking to. He tried to veer away from too much converstation about himself.
