As he lay sprawled out on the beach of a random secluded island, Bahari'nswi had a lot on his mind. He had recently encountered a leopard that didn't think he was at all special, and it had deeply disturbed the God. Of course, he knew he was special and fabulous, but the fact that there was someone out there who didn't agree confused him to no end.

The other thing he had on his mind was the Goddess he had met some time ago. She was very pretty, and she appreciated his greatness. Smiling slightly as he thought fondly of Lewatle, he stretched out his limbs and relaxed his wings, allowing them to rest on the luke-warm sand. Even Gods needed their sleep.

User ImageThe Goddess rested in the bowels of the sunken ship she called home. After a less than fruitful day of foraging along the bottom for lost trinkets, it was welcome to rest and let the rest of the day float by. However, as she placed her head on her paws, there was a most definite presence near the sandbar the surrounded her home.

She blew a slew of bubbles watching the color change with the aura he felt. The fact that they didn't settle on a color concerned her. Mortals always gave it a translucent color of the rainbow but this had never happened before.

Seeing as it was impossible to smell underwater, Lewatle pushed herself closer to the surface, examining anything that was close to the waters edge. No shadows were cast upon the water but she intended to take her investigation further. Sticking her head slowly from between the waves, she spotted a rather familiar creature laying on the sand.

"Bahari?..."

Bahari'nswi lazily lifted his head as he heard someone call out his name. When he realised that it was Lewatle, he grinned and motioned for her to come over. He was far too comfortable where he was lay to move himself, and he had just about dried off after all the swimming he had been doing earlier.

As he waited for the Goddess to come ashore, he leaned up so that he was lay on his stomach rather than his side. Wanting to look his best for Lew, he shook out his mane and started brushing the sand from his beard with his paw.

At seeing the familiar face, the rose from the sea until the waves lapped at her ankles. Lew hadn't seen the fish god in quite some time. It wasn't often that she ran across a deity let alone twice. Her braid twisted around her leg with the gentle tugging of the twin heads behind her ears.

If he was trying to look his best then she would try to gussy up as well.

"You know it's worthless to brush the sand away." She tried to hide the chuckle but it was a futile effort. "It's a product of the sea. No matter how long we stay away, we're magnets to it. Strolling closer to him, she finally let her green tipped paws to settle on the sand. The legs on her back scratched along her spine to rid the sea greens from her back, flicking them harmlessly to the ground until there was the slightest shine of hidden scales beneath her fur.

"What brings you so close to my shores?"

When the Goddess of the Drowned reached him, Bahari'nswi lowered his front paw and crossed it over the other one. His wing spines shifted slightly as he got himself comfortable, before finally greeting Lewatle. "It is good to see you again." He said with a smile, his coral-pink eyes admiring the female as he did so. She was certainly as attractive as ever. One of the advantages of being a God or Goddess was the fact that you didn't age. The God of Fish wasn't a huge fan of wrinkles, hence why the majority of his creations had smooth scales or skin.

At the Goddess' question, Bahari'nswi pondered as to why indeed he had ended up at this particular island. "We were simply swimming around at random. We had no idea that this is your home." He grinned. "We are pleased it is though."

Walking up to the other God, Lew sat back on her haunches to admire him. it had been quite sometime since she saw him and it was a welcome sight. She had to admit. it wasn't everyday that she thought someone was handsome. Besides, they had much more than she thought in common.

"Yes. It's rather nice to see you again too Bahari. I'm glad you happened to stumble by my little sandbar."

Lew nodded before smiling at him. "How has your swimming been? It seems as if we're never in the same place anymore. You must be going out rather far."

Bahari'nswi watched as Lewatle sat herself down, before looking out over the sea. "Some of our most favourite creations live very far out in the ocean. We have to make the effort if we wish to admire them." Saying that, he turned back to the Goddess. "If you told us where to find you, we would make the effort to visit you often." He grinned, thinking to himself that that was one of the best chat-up lines he had ever used. He would definatly have to commit that one to memory.

"Aside from keeping an eye on our creations, we really do enjoy swimming."
