Well this is another thread late in coming, but it involves the new Marketplace.
Everyone is raving about the TAX. Frankly I think we have the right too. It does nothing but causes a lot of problems. This is the introduction post so I won't be detailing all my arguments right now. You'd get tired from reading.
So where do you stand?
Pro-Tax (Can't find one, if someone else does, I'll put the link here)
Anti-Tax

Tax hun is what we have to pay now in the market place, basically there taking a small fee which is 2% to attempt to reduce inflation and so forth except what there taking it for really is for us using the marketplace. The same way in real life in the olden days people use to tax taxes off people for crossing a river or having safe passage through lands shall we say.
We have to pay taxs in real life for the nhs and basically it all goes to the government it is pretty much a adult thing =/
===
I really do dislike the new tax which has been inforced it will not prevent inflation like they think it will increase it as everyone will be compensating for the loss of gold for tax by rising there prices which will therefore cause the items to become more expensive. Plus if we think about it for those selling high priced items on the marketplace like say a nitemare scarf they will be losing a lot of gold because of the 2% tax more than seems fair. We earn the gold at the end of the day so i cannot understand why there now taking it like this. I heard somewhere there losing gold faster than there making it, the shops are not bringing in as much gold as they thought, god knows what that means... but if that is the case then why not bring out some donation items out into a shop and allow people to buy them from there using gold. i know it may stop people buying them with real cash but if they do a certain ammount of letters in the shop for purchase they would be making some gold back. it would be a lot more benifically than doing it this way.

I think that the Tax is going to do nothing to help but instead is just going to piss people off and drive prices even higher than they already are.

So who's testing out the new marketplace. Does it seem any different in a good way? I haven't tried it out yet but I'm curious to see if there's any difference happening in it.
Or is that just a longterm thing?

I hate the new marketplace. I can't find anything.
I hate having to use "" marks in the old one too. I wish they'd ask for feedback before releasing their ideas

I don't care how stoopid this sounds:
How the heck do we use the new Marketplace?
I can't even find anything I want! If I search for tickets, nothing shows up! No lie!
I totally agree with IceeWitch, they have to open a Q and A guild or something.....less protests wink

That's cause they have it listed as ticket. It's amazing how one little letter can totally screw up a search.

I know it's completely crazy. I hated the previous system too. We had to use "" marks to find what we wanted. How stupid was that???
The first system they had when I joined was great. Simple, productive, and efficient.

That was in Sept of 05, and they changed it about 14 months ago, give or take a few months.
