Terraform is kicking things off with a customly contesty BOOM. Ready to make your dream Terra? Here's your encouragement.

User Image

Ending date: September 9th (Sunday) at 6pm.

Prizes: Isn't it obvious? You win the Terra you submitted! There isn't a disclosed number of winners just yet, it depends on a variety of things, but there will (obviously) be at least one.

Payment: Some of your love. There is no entry fee, nor a winning fee. If you win you win.

Rules: MAIN. THREAD. RULES.
Also! No whining, begging, screaming, clawing, or violent fangirling, please. Yes, I know Alistair is hot, but he needs time to recuperate after each Terra birth. If there is more than one winner, the winners will be arranged in a mock 'first place' to so on. Person who wins first gets their Terra drawn first, so just because you win, if we go crazy and have 12 winners and you are the last on the list, expect to wait. A long time.

Read below for entry instructions.

How to enter!

User Image

To enter, the first most obvious thing you need to do is create a concept. Below is the custom form that you need to fill out.

You can elaborate and make a quest thread if you desire, but it is not necessary.

Terra Custom Form
Name of your Terra:
Gender:
Physical Appearance:
- Hair Colour, Texture, Length and Style:
- Eye Colour:
- Skin Colour:
- Dress Type: (can be according to their planet's culture or how they would dress after adapting to gaia/their guardians)
- Abnormalities/Additions/Special Notes, if any:
Terra's Abilities:
Terra's Personality:

Terra's 'Foreign' Planet Name:
Planet's Type: (atmosphere, land type, etc)
Brief Description of Planet's Culture: (the dominant culture on the planet, or if your Terra comes from a culture not dominant, the culture your Terra came from)

Terra's Guardian:
Guardian Description/Backstory:

Terra's Quest Thread: (if you have one!)
Terra's Theme Song: (TOTALLY NONSENSE/FOR FUN QUESTION. Does not affect your chances to win at all.)

User Image

After you've created a Terra/filled out a form, you need to attach a RP sample/prompt to your entry. The actual 'prompt' is up to you, but here are some theme's we want you to use when deciding what to write.

Prompt Themes:
Power/Ability Experimentation
Teen Angst (derrive from that what you will xD)
Personal Epiphany/Discovery/Revelation
Alien Invasion*

*No, we are serious. We expect these prompts might be a little goofy, it's perfectly alright, it's kinda the more 'interesting one.' If you are uncomfortable with just using a goofy prompt, feel free to think of another.

That said, you can do as many prompts as you want, but we expect each would be about 500 words, give or take. There is no actual word limit/minimum, however.

Here is the form for prompt submitting:

Prompt Theme Chosen:
Prompt: (that you created!)
Prompt Response:

User Image

All set with your two forms filled out and ready to go? Great! If you are a member of the guild, simply post your forms in one post in this thread. If not, PM the mule your forms, and it will be posted here. If you don't see your form posted in a few days, please let us know.

I have the slightest feeling there may be something/s I did wrong or didn't do or something. If there's any issues or areas I could fix up please tell me. Just before anyone asks, he is not and will not be gay.

Name of your Terra: Andra-Del
Gender: Male
Physical Appearance:
- Hair Colour, Texture, Length and Style: White in colour. Jaw-length and layered a little towards the ends so that it thins out as it turns in. Somewhat like this in white.
- Eye Colour: Orange
- Skin Colour: Grey
- Dress Type: For the wonderfully creative MB to decide.
- Abnormalities/Additions/Special Notes, if any: He’s usually found wearing thick eyeliner and dark eye shadow to emphasis the eyes more. He, like most of his race, looks somewhat girlish.
Terra's Personality: Andra-Del is a fairly proud character. He can also be very emotional, and sometimes lets these emotions take control without realizing. He gets offended far too easily sometimes. He can be easy to get along with, but he’s not the kind of person who backs down without a fight or takes insults lightly. However physical fights have a tendency to make him tremble in fear, Andra-Del being too proud to run away(at first).

Terra's 'Foreign' Planet Name: Vultersaig (vul-ter-say-g)
Planet's Type: Vultersaig’s grassy surface is constantly covered in fog and mist. It’s impossible to see more than a few metres ahead of you unless you are native to the planet or the object/person/thing is darker than the fog around them. This is why the Vultersaigan usually have grey-toned skin. The sky is always cloudy and it rains a lot. It’s freezing cold on Vultersaig because there is never enough sunlight filtering through the clouds to warm it up.
Brief Description of Planet's Culture: Vultersaigan are split into two basic groups. The workers(Drewdas) and the rich folk who didn’t need to work at all(Willogade). Willogade live above ground hidden in the fog, while the Drewdas lived underground were it was somewhat warmer. If one met them, you would have to ask which class they were, possibly what gender as well. Vultersaigans look and behave in a way that we would describe as feminine. Both classes held a respect for one another, though there was often insults and arguments between the two. Willogade Vultersaigans hold themselves in a higher light. They are a proud group, often accused of being snobbish by outsiders. They willingly provide hospitality for anyone who asked, but in return the guest was expected to do favours for them(no not those favours). Most of their time is spent at social events or at school for the younger years. They usually wore warm clothing so they could survive the cool air. Willogade towns usually have a medieval look and feel about them, though they are actually quite technologically advanced.
Living in such a cold climate, Vultersaigan have developed a strange ability to heat anything that comes into contact with their skin. It can have disastrous effects if the Vultersaigan is enraged or if they try it out when the air is too hot.

Terra's Guardian: Beau Vonalii
Guardian Description/Backstory: Beau is a soft-hearted young man in his mid-twenties. Though he has a strong French accent, he can speak both English and French as fluently as the other. It was because Beau’s mother was French and his father was British that he was taught both languages right from the start.
Beau doesn’t work often, having inherited enough money after his parents died in a car accident and his brother went missing. He’s a music teacher/tutor so he doesn’t get a lot of pay anyway. He plays the flute, violin, piano, guitar and drums. He’s also a bit of an artist, but doesn’t like commissioning his work. Not an overly interesting, and easily bored person.

Terra's Quest Thread: None
Terra's Theme Song: Haven’t found any yet.

Prompt Theme Chosen: Power/Ability Experimentation
Prompt: Annoyed and upset, a certain little terra seeks revenge. Armed with a natural and unusual ability and mind set only on pay back, just what will happen while the adoptive parent looks away for only a moment?
Prompt Response: Andra-Del lifted his hand so he was staring at his palm. He didn’t quite understand why it happened, but it did. The terra had somehow managed to melt his ‘care-taker’s’ CD player. Even though he didn’t understand it entirely, it felt natural to him. Like it’s natural for a fish to live in water.
Andra-Del had been upset with his adoptive parent after he’d refused to let the terra play with his CD collection. Grumpy and with a want for revenge he waited until his caretaker was out of the room before he crept over to the CD player with an evil smirk.
He didn’t even have to think about it. Andra-Del simply placed his hand on the plastic coated device and watched as his energy traveled to his hand to make the plastic melt. It wasn’t until there was a pile of messy goop, wires and electronic ‘do-dads’ on the table that the terra had realized what kind of trouble he could get into. If anyone found out he’d bee in so much trouble. He’d probably get no sweets for a week. A WEEK!
Andra-Del definitely did not want that. He scraped as much of the mess into a random container as he could and then went out to the garden to burry it where nobody would ever find it.
Satisfied, the terra re-entered the house and picked up a plastic object, whose purpose was to make a lot of metal keys look fashionable. Curious, Andra-Del held the object in his hand and focused only a little of his energy to his hand. After a few seconds he opened his hand again to find the object was not melted, but merely deformed and soft.
With a big grin Andra-Del repeated the process with several objects around the house, forgetting about the possible consequences. He tried with various materials and different temperatures and energy flows, fascinated by the way things could change shape.
Another thing he’d forgotten was that the owner of the property he was destroying was in the next room. The next thing he knew there was a very upset looking man towering over his smaller more fragile body. BUSTED.
The rest of the week was spent without treats or technology. Apparently this was called ‘grounded’. Who knew someone could get so worked up over a few pieces of random junk? There were also rules set down, with the threat of being ‘grounded’ for even longer than a week. Could you imagine that? It’s just horrible to think about!
Rule 1: Do not destroy what is not your own.
Rule 2: When given an instruction, follow it.
Rule 3: Do not forget to wash your hands after you’ve eaten jam on toast.
Rule 4: Don’t try and hide evidence or bargain you’re way out of punishment.

They seemed easy enough to follow. If it meant he wouldn’t be grounded, then Andra-del was willing to follow them to the end. I wonder if those rules counted for outside the house too…?

This is really random... and written shortly after I watched Firefly... I am sorry for the complete and utter nonsense of it all. ^_^

Terra Custom Form
Name of your Terra: Snow
Gender: Female
Physical Appearance:
- Hair Colour, Texture, Length and Style: Snow’s hair looks like a monarch butterfly. It’s vastly copper-colored/orange down to her shoulders, with larger streaks of black and smaller streaks of gold/white, which she keeps up in a half ponytail (half up, half down) with a butterfly clip keeping it up (also of the monarch variety), her bangs also hang loose, longer than the rest of her hair
- Eye Colour: Completely black
- Skin Colour: Deathly pale, almost see-through
- Dress Type: Toga style from ancient Rome, Reference Picture:
http://www.hbo.com/rome/img/artifacts/characters/atia/01_atia_dress_photo.jpg
- Abnormalities/Additions/Special Notes, if any: She has monarch butterfly wings, and her bones are hollow which enable her to fly, Reference Picture:
http://homepage.mac.com/wildlifeweb/invertebrate/butterfly/monarch/monarch_image_044tfk.jpg
Terra's Personality: Snow is laid back with a dry whimsical sense of humor, pragmatic, less-than-heroic, but passionate about what really matters to her. She is, almost to a ridiculous point, intelligent in that almost everything, with the exception of combat, that she picks up, she is good at. She doesn’t acknowledge her own intelligence, and merely blows it off as something simple or silly. She’s pretty much very sarcastic and usually in a good mood.
She loves parties and can generally be found having a very good time somewhere. She seems to have taken after her guardian, but she has a great-deal more self control. She isn’t generally interested in romance unless it’s the real thing, so she ignores that idea altogether at the moment, since she’s fairly certain that the first person she falls in love with will be the only person she falls in love with.

Terra's 'Foreign' Planet Name: Crysalidia
Planet's Type: A planet where nature and society are combined into one. Vastly forested, jungle-like planet where cities are a part of the scenery. Inhabited mostly by bug-like humanoid creatures.
Brief Description of Planet's Culture: The culture of this planet must be very delicately kept. The main dominant species are the butterfly and dragonfly clans, which are bugs with human-like qualities, instead of bug-like qualities. They are highly intelligent, but lack combat skills. Their only enemy are a sub-species of spiders, but they are mostly kept at bay by the dragonfly and butterfly super-shields. They are very highly advanced, but are unfriendly to other nations. They don’t like to share.

Terra's Guardian: Alice Mayzer
Guardian Description/Backstory: First of all, no, Alice is actually a guy. Though who he was before he turned eighteen is a bit of a mystery and his ethics are questionable, he was believed to be one of the few people who can actually keep Snow busy, and keep up with her on the intelligence scale. A geneticist, Alice spends his days in labs, working rather diligently to create things similar to Terras, but he is also accomplished in other areas. He’s released three hit classical music albums, written four textbooks (alone), and written an award winning science fiction series which has been converted both to television and a feature film. He became a rocket scientist just so that he could say that he was one.
Still, at twenty-nine, despite being remarkably successful, and determined to adopt a Terra so that he can discover more about how they were created, Alice’s lifestyle and morals are… a little loose. Unmarried (and likely to stay that way) Alice has a host of sleeping with… anything with a postal code, drinking anything handed to him, and doing whatever seems convenient at the time.
More impulsive and less pragmatic than Snow, Alice remains very similarly sarcastic, but more easily amused. His parents are dead, and his only brother and he are no longer on speaking terms. Despite being usually in a good mood, and having an unending ego, those who know him well have often compared Alice to… a kind of ghost, floating through life with nothing particular to do except what is laid in front of him. Why may have something to do with his younger years, but no one knows. Either way, having Snow seems to be changing him for the better.

Terra's Theme Song: (Eh, why not? ^_^ )
Dance Dance, By Fall Out Boy
She says she's no good with words but I'm worse
Barely stuttered out
A joke of a romantic stuck to my tongue
Weighed down with words too overdramatic
Tonight it's "it cant get much worse"
Vs. "no one should ever feel like...yada freak"

I'm two quarters and a heart down
And I don't want to forget how your voice sounds
These words are all I have so I'll write them
So you need them just to get by

Dance, Dance
We're falling apart to half time
Dance, Dance
And these are the lives you love to lead
Dance, this is the way they'd hate
If they knew how misery loved them

You always fold just before you're found out
Drink up its last call
Last resort
But only the first mistake and I...

I'm two quarters and a heart down
And I don't want to forget how your voice sounds
These words are all I have so I'll write them
So you need them just to get by

Why don't you show me a little bit of spine
You've been saving for his mattress, love

Dance, Dance
We're falling apart to half time
Dance, Dance
And these are the lives you love to lead
Dance, this is the way they'd love
If they knew how misery loved me

Why don't you show me a little bit of spine
You've been saving for his mattress
I only want sympathy in the form of you crawling into bed with me

Dance, Dance
We're falling apart to half time
Dance, Dance
And these are the lives you love to lead
Dance, this is the way they'd love (they'd love)
this is the way they'd love (they'd love)
this is the way they'd love
If they knew how misery loved me

Dance, Dance
Dance, Dance
Dance, Dance
Dance, Dance

Prompt Theme Chosen: Alien invasion
Prompt: Snow and Alice were caught out shopping for Snow’s back-to-school clothes, when quite suddenly they were attacked by the enemies from Snow’s home planet, the spiders with human-like qualities. Problem is, though Snow is the only knows how to defeat them… she’s not into this whole fighting thing. She’s a bit of a coward, really.
Prompt Response:

“Hey dad… there’s something I think I need to tell you.”

“No need my dear,” Alice Mayzer smiled, brushing his black-streaked with blond hair out of his eyes, “I love you too.”

“That wasn’t actually what I was going to say,” Snow said, glancing around the building they were hiding behind, “Those spider things? They ripped a hole in the back of your new shirt.”

Alice tried to turn and look at it, but failed, “Oh goddamn it… I bought that yesterday! I’ve officially decided that I’m arachnophobic. They ruin clothes. And blow up buildings.”

“And tried to kill us because I apparently know the only way to defeat them,” Snow mentioned, glancing around the corner at the absolute destruction that the spiders had wrecked upon the shopping distract. No building was left intact, “But that’s only secondary too the ripped shirt and wrecked stores of course.”

“Of course,” Alice patted her shoulder, avoiding her wings so as not to injure them, “if it’s new, it’s far more important than life itself my dear.”

“Yes father,” Snow grinned despite herself, “that does seem like us,” she glanced around the corner again, and then came back around, taking some deep, deep breaths, her calm on the edge of breaking down “But I don’t mean to cause a panic or anything… but I think… we’re being followed.”

Alice grabbed onto Snow’s hand and bolted, knowing very well that she couldn’t carry him, “You should probably fly away Snow, these guys seriously want to destroy the planet… and if you know somewhere in your head how to destroy them, then it’s pretty important that you… well, survive my dear.”

“You say that like you actually think I’m going to leave you,” Snow forced a smile as she ran beside her father, “For such a smart guy, you say a lot of stupid stuff dad.”

“You know you love me,” Alice chuckled, looking back over his shoulder again, “We might have lost them for now.” He stopped running, “You remember anything that might help you with this somehow? Help you figure out a way to beat these things? I mean, your people are supposed to be nonviolent, so they have to know a way to keep them at bay without actually killing them.”

Snow closed her eyes and though, “Okay, theorize me. My planet is all based on insectoid peoples, which means that unlike humans who evolved from the monkey, we evolved from bugs. Or rather, in their case, arachnids. So… a devolving type of shield would have to do, correct?”

“You mean some kind of reverse-transpondence of the deeper molecular structure of genes?” Alice looked thoughtful, “That would work, except we don’t have technology like that on Gaia. Given time we could invent it but… well, judging by the rate these spider-things are killing and destroying, I don’t think we could move that quickly.”

“Yeah, but most humans aren’t you and I,” Snow smiled brightly, all of it coming to her, “All we have to do is remove the humanoid parts of their being from the arachnid parts. It wouldn’t work on my kind, since we’re… well, bugs, not arachnids.”

“There’s my girl,” Alice chuckled, ruffling her hair, “Let’s, as they so commonly say around Earth, do this thing.”

“I’d almost say you thought this was fun,” Snow mentioned, raising an eyebrow.

“My dear, if an alien invasion isn’t fun then I don’t know what is,” Alice chuckled, “I mean, if aliens weren’t invading already, how would I have met you?”

“Amen,” Snow giggled, “But this… really isn’t the time or the place. We had better go and work on a way to defeat those particular invaders before they complete their plan A.”

“Which plan was that?” Alice asked.

“Kill us all, I think it was.”

“Ah. Yes, we’d better work on that."

Yeah... here's the first.

Terra Custom Form
Name of your Terra: Ariadne
Gender: Female
Physical Appearance:
- Hair Colour, Texture, Length and Style: Pale golden blonde, light and soft, layered around her face and down to mid-back.
- Eye Colour: Like honey, warm and golden.
- Skin Colour: Ivory pale.
- Dress Type: All white, very flowy clothes. She favours billowy dresses that hide her tiny figure. When she can, she covers herself up to the chin in this cloth and will often wear scarves that lightly shade her face. The only concession to 'normal' dress is the pair of high-quality sunglasses sometimes perched on her nose.
- Abnormalities/Additions/Special Notes, if any: Her eyes are almost unusually wide (better to see in the dark) and reflect light. She is an Empath. She can read the emotions of others and when she does so, her eyes become more luminous. Her face and body terribly delicate in appearance.
Terra's Personality: Ariadne's personality is pretty much what it would seem. She is quiet, pensive. She exists mostly in her own head and is rather shy. Yet at times she'll reach into a person and pull out whatever he or she may be feeling, sharing it so deeply that the person may find himself opening to her completely. (Note: she cannot read minds. She has no idea what someone may be thinking-- only feeling, and usually it's just a vague thing, like an extra buzzing at the back of the head-- and it may be fooled at times.) Sometimes, however, it may not be as it seems. She now and then uses her Empathy for her own gain, since she has nothing else. Ariadne even uses it for revenge.

Oh, she's also very stubborn.

Terra's 'Foreign' Planet Name: Eckrinel
Planet's Type: The atmosphere is much like that of Gaia, only there is a tad more radioactivity. It is a smaller planet, also. Very moutainous and harsh on it's inhabitants. Water is scarce. There are many systems of caves. There are two suns-- one red and one blue. The sky is a washed-out yellow. There are few forests and these are dry, dark brown places with little foliage. Most of the animals are predators since plant-life is scarce, and there are even animals who feed from photosynthesis like a plant.
Brief Description of Planet's Culture: Ariadne's people (the Ewina) were enslaved by the dominant culture on the planet (Catchri). They were the perfect slaves, as they could sense their master's moods. Before they were captured, they lived happily among the caves, catching fish in the deep and dangerous (for there lurk gruesome creatures in the depths) underwater lakes and streams and escaping the harsh suns that their cousins lived beneath. They were not physically strong, but they did not need that. They were intelligent, quick, perceptive. That was not enough, however. For the last two hundred years before a certain scientist appeared, they lived no longer singing echoes off the walls, rather they walked voiceless in the light of day, faded by the suns. They were treated terribly, except the luck few that gained favour by using their gifts to please the Catchri.

Terra's Guardian: Lex Fabian
Guardian Description/Backstory: Lex is an older Gaia, in his forties. He's a humanist psychologist who is somewhat fatherly, if overly analytical at times. He's a deep chested man, standing at about 5'9", with brown hair heavily sprinkled by grey. He has a mustache which is very neat over his lip, and a pair of glasses often perched on his nose. He dresses as many think a "shrink" should, in the typical sweater/turtleneck fashion, with shiny shoes and khakis. However, he rarely talks about "feeling feelings" or any such nonsense. He's a practical man.

Terra's Quest Thread: N/A
Terra's Theme Song:

Lilium (From Elfen Lied)

Original Latin (with a touch of Greek):

Os iusti, meditabitur, sapientiam,
Et lingua eius, loquetur indicium.
Beatus vir qui suffert tentationem,
Quoniam c** probatus fuerit,
Accipient coronam vitae.
Kyrie, ignis divine, eleison.
O quam sancta, quam serena,
Quam benigma, quam amoena,
O castitatis lilium.

English:

The mouth of the just mediates wisdom,
And his tongue shall speak judgment.
Blessed is the man who endures temptation,
For, once he has been tried,
He shall receive the crown of life.
Oh Lord, oh Holy Fire, have mercy!
Oh, how sacred, how serene,
How benevolent, how lovely,
Oh lily of chasity.

(It's fitting because it shows the duality of God, the ultimate empath. There's similar-- though less holy-- duality in the girl.)

Prompt Theme Chosen: Teen Angst
Prompt: Because I decided to do a contest entry for two characters whose foreign blood is of the same planet, though of separate species, I decided to have them interact in the prompt because it would amuse greatly and be my only chance for such. The two encounter one another and feel instant animosity. (Puts on her Croc-Hunter accent-- Long live the man!) Watch as these two natural enemies approach one another out of their native habitats (on Ivan's ranch). We can only guess how they'll react once they've met.
Prompt Response:

She saw him approaching from across the corral, his large feet pounding into the dust, and felt a slight surge of disgust rise within her. That was odd. She'd never met the boy before, yet his dark skin, long body, and especially those tattoos on his ears all made her blood hot. Usually, she didn't decide whether or not to like someone until she'd had a Read on them. What was it about him that made her so angry?

Before she'd had time to decide, he was practically upon her, uncomfortably close in the blinding light and stuffy warmth. She could almost feel the hatred coming off his skin and felt it rebound off her own. She'd never stood so close to someone whose emotions reflected her own. It was odd and kind of a rush, as though she could reach inside without the usual effort of Reading and do more than just listen. Maybe even feed off it, gain some sort of energy or boost. It was... fun. She felt the urge to bait him and suddenly realised that her anger was personal, as though she wanted revenge. That wasn't good, not with someone she'd never met-- but it felt like a wonderfully brilliant idea.

Before she could start forming a plan, however, the boy was speaking. "What the hell are you doing here, girl?"

She blinked slowly and pulled her scarf lower over her face to shade her eyes, looking up at him. "Is there a problem?"

"You're on my land. Leave."

"This is where my guardian placed me. He told me to sit here."

"If you don't leave, I'll grab you by that light hair of yours and throw you out." His arms-- muscular ven through the long sleeved shirt-- flexed threateningly. Yet something in him was also... confused. Maybe he didn't know why he hated her, also? Ari thought that was likely. Yes, he was also lost. Perhaps she could use that against him?

"Your guardian would be upset if you hurt a guest. Just go. I'll stay right here. Go somewhere and-- hit something." That's all his sort were good for, muscle-y barbarians who used brute strength before reason.

"Don't order me, witch. I make the rules here." He moved closer to her, bending down so his face was in hers, breath hot on her cheeks. It made Ari's nose wrinkle and she cowered back a bit, but their twin anger was still hot in her veins. How could she make him back off? There had to be a way.

Before she could act, once more someone spoke. This time, it was a portly man with freckles covering his face. "Vladimirov! Leave that girl alone!"

And astonishingly, the boy backed down, walking towards the man with only a sneer in her direction.

Terra Custom Form
Name of your Terra: Vladimirov Tchocov
Gender: Male
Physical Appearance:
- Hair Colour, Texture, Length and Style: Very shaggy, a dark and brackish green, cut short on the sides, longer bangs, a small bit gathered in a tail at the back.
- Eye Colour: Olive green, tilted
- Skin Colour: A ruddy dark tan
- Dress Type: He likes neutrals, often wears dark brown slacks and forest green button-up shirts. The only odd part is that he tends to go bare-footed.
- Abnormalities/Additions/Special Notes, if any: He's rather tall, lankily built, and has keen senses. His build is mostly muscle, however, since his people burn up fat quickly. There is something very dry about him. His feet are larger than that of most Gaians, legs very long. He has a series of black web-like tattoos on his ears. His senses are very keen (except taste, oddly enough). He can usually pickup the 'scent' of someone within ten feet of him. His large feet are excellent (and tough on the bottom-- very hard-skinned) for running and jumping. He's very agile and has fast reflexes, though not quite cat-fast.
Terra's Personality: Hmm. How to describe him. Vladimirov is boastful (when he talks-- he usuallydoesn't find anything worth his time), often snide, and has a strange sense of humor. He'll laugh if someone seems weaker or stronger in an area, as though nature pulled a trick, but he rarely laughs at jokes and the like. He considers himself tough, but oddly-- he's not arrogant. He's just matter-of-fact. He also has a strange sense of honor, very loyal, yet often challenging.

Terra's 'Foreign' Planet Name: Eckrinel (I decided to try it from the other side and see what I got)
Brief Description of Planet's Culture: The Catchri are the dominant people on Eckrinel, mostly warriors and hunters and herders (the most common livestock is . They took to enslaving one another centuries ago, tribes taking over tribes. There are a few cities carved into the mountains. The Catchri have always had a curious animosity towards the Ewina. Their pale, odd-eyed, small cousins must be lesser in their eyes if they couldn't even stand the suns. And so, when one tribe (the Chekya-Ilytch) became powerful enough to afford luxury, they began enslaving the Ewina. Many of the other tribes became jealous and soon raids for the slaves sprang up. The cities soon fell and the tribes returned to a nomadic lifestyle. This is the way of Catchri.

Terra's Guardian: Ivan Ichbod
Guardian Description/Backstory: Ivan is a short man with a little round belly. He's jovial, in a word. His hair is all strawberry and he's a mass of freckles. Ivan is oddly enough a rancher, handling steer and horses with an able hand. He's in his mid-thirties, has quite the sense of humor (in his own opinion), and enjoys singing badly at every chance he gets (he thinks he sounds fine). He was raised to be a gentleman, he says, so he always helps ladies and those in need, and backs down from a challenge if there is a good reason. He has a big heart, big shoes, and big smile.

Terra's Theme Song:

The Man Who Sold the World (David Bowie/Kurt Cobain)

We passed upon the stair, we spoke of was and when
Although I wasn't there, he said I was his friend
Which came as some surprise I spoke into his eyes
I thought you died alone, a long long time ago

Oh no, not me
I never lost control
You're face to face
With The Man Who Sold The World

I laughed and shook his hand, and made my way back home
I searched for form and land, for years and years I roamed
I gazed a gazely stare at all the millions here
We must have died along, a long long time ago

Who knows? not me
We never lost control
You're face to face
With the Man who Sold the World

Prompt Theme Chosen: Teen Angst
Prompt: Because I decided to do a contest entry for two characters whose foreign blood is of the same planet, though of separate species, I decided to have them interact in the prompt because it would amuse greatly and be my only chance for such. The two encounter one another and feel instant animosity. (Puts on her Croc-Hunter accent-- Long live the man!) Watch as these two natural enemies approach one another out of their native habitats. We can only guess how they'll react once they've met.
Prompt Response:

He saw her sitting there, resting calmly against a tree in his guardian's land, and instantly felt outraged. What right does that little swimmer have to be on our property? She's trespassing. There's no good reason to do that. I'll show the little (censored!) her place. He crossed towards her and peered down at her pale hair, covered as it was by the white cloth. She couldn't even bear the soft sunlight, the weakling. And there she was before him, sitting comfortably, as though her (with all her weaknesses) she was worthy to stay on land that men worked with care and pride. Sickening.

"What the hell are you doing here, girl?"

Slowly, he situated himself so that he could look down at her (she was small, too. Couldn't the pathetic ones at least have some weight to them?) and felt the urge to laugh as she stupidly replied, "Is there a problem?" All the while, fixing that cloth. He wanted to rip it off of her head and bare her to the light of day like a proper being.

"You're on my land. Leave."

She looked up at him with those strangely large eyes and murmured in a musical little voice, "This is where my guardian placed me. He told me to sit here." Ivan would probably reward him for getting rid of the little vagabond. He didn't like bums near his cattle.

"If you don't leave, I'll grab you by that light hair of yours and throw you out." He meant it, too. If the little git didn't move, he had no problem using force on her andwas certain she wouldn't be able to resist. How could she? The girl had no strength, no real physical presence.

"Your guardian would be upset if you hurt a guest. Just go. I'll stay right here. Go somewhere and-- hit something."

"Don't order me, witch. I make the rules here." He lowered himself to her level, getting close to her in the heat, joyed at her obvious revile. It was absolutely wonderful. He had all the power here, all the strength. And she couldn't do anything. He felt like laughing and grabbing her no matter her answer, maybe tossing her around like a stick for a dog. Yeah...

"Vladimirov! Leave that girl alone!"

He recognised his guardian's voice and released a slight sigh as he stood and dusted his pants, taking one last look at the girl. You won't get away so easy next time, splunker. If only Ivan weren't around. Now that the man had intervened, Vladimirov would never feel quite right about disobeying and causing the girl some harm. But... she deserves it. Somehow.

Name of your Terra: Mint Julep, or “Minty”
Gender: Female
Physical Appearance: Minty is very, very skinny. Her father thinks that candy is bad for her, and doesn’t realize that he is effectively starving her.
Hair Colour, Texture, Length and Style: Minty’s hair is a pale mint green with long bangs in front which hang in to her eyes. Her hair is pin straight and hangs to the middle of her back, where it flips up unexpectedly. She wears a large pink bow in the front of her hair.
Eye Colour: Pink
Skin Colour: Deep tan, like a milk chocolate
Dress Type: Mint wears very loud and fruity go-go dresses and tall white books. Her dresses aren’t super short, but she isn’t afraid to wear them if she has the opportunity to.
Abnormalities/Additions/Special Notes, if any: Minty has a parasitic, cartoony, venus flytrap on her arms instead of hands, which make the most normal of human skills entirely impossible for her. Also, when she goes through puberty, her acne is made of chocolate sprinkles.

Terra's Personality: Minty is in love with the idea of romance. Her entire life is devoted to finding that special someone, no matter if it’s a boy or a girl. Since her planet never really treated anyone with any preference over the other and the idea of such a feeling entrances her but seems to elude her.

Minty loves being in love, and other people in love as well. She is like the most annoying matchmaking aunt, except she’s your best friend and she’s forcing you to go on a blind date.

Minty is so shy though that she finds it hard to talk to anyone. She will sit in a corner and watch people, taking notes in her mind of how they act and react in any situation. When she talks, she talks quietly, and she never says anything mean.

She loves the colour pink, and sugar and teddies and all things that girls are supposed to like but most girls grow out of after five years of age. Minty is like the most annoying popular girl ever but she's just so cute and sweet you want to barf. Or beat her up. But you can't because she isn't evil at heart.

Terra's 'Foreign' Planet Name: T’em tat-ion

Planet's Type: Grass made of mint licorice, lakes of chocolate, fruits of the most succulent hard candy you’ve ever tasted- this is the environment of the most opulent culture in the universe. The sky is pink, and the summer breeze tastes of strawberries. The snow is buttercream icing, and gumdrops fall from the sky when it rains.

The people of the planet make their lodgings from the gum tree; bubblegum is the most prized of all building materials.

But these people are bait, simple creatures that entice others in to the bowels of the planet for the superior species to feed on. The inside of the planet is very dark and humid, allowing massive carnivorous plants to grow very large.

Brief Description of Planet's Culture: There are two cultures living on the planet T’em tat-ion, one dominant and one submissive. The dominant culture, D’en Tssts, use the other group of organisms, the Glu-KOS, as bait to trap any other organisms that they wish to eat.

The D'en Tssts, the interior beings, are more primitive than the outer species but they view themselves as more important, and their lack of material items sets them free. Even though the Glu-KOSians have shown that they are sentient beings, the D'en Tssts can not view them as such, as it would destroy the balance of the planet, as they had sworn they would not use anything that could think to lure their prey to them.

The Glu-KOS are not carnivorous and eat only the plants of the planet. They need a vast amount of candy to sustain themselves and spend most of the daylight foraging for the ripest sugary sweets. The beings reproduce asexually, and they are not sexual in the least. Everyone treats everyone else like a part of their family. The Glu-KOS are peace loving, and have several periods during the day where they sing songs of happiness and love to one another. The Glu-KOS are androgynous and do not show a difference between male and female, and there is no preference for anyone else.

Its sickeningly sweet, as it should be.

Terra's Guardian: Clavis

Guardian Description/Backstory: (Clavis freaks MB out. So I am using him. Just cuz i can. XD)

Clavis is the worst parent. Ever.

He thinks that kids are the worst creation ever, and doesn't even view them as people until they can at least look him in the eye without him having to crouch over. Stern and imposing, Clavis seems to be someone who could inflict terror until children's hearts but that is incorrect. Clavis is more afraid of them than they are of him, and he is a complete pushover.

Kid shoplifts? Clavis instructs them on how to not get caught next time.

Whiner? Clavis whines back and annoys you more than the kid did.

Clavis is curiously missing the pinky finger of his left hand, and wears a small key carved of bone (which seems to be made of a jointed bone. Like a finger) around his neck.

Terra's Theme Song: http://youtube.com/watch?v=_e4e-eXWbbs

Prompt

*Teen Angst*

"I. Am. Out. Of. Chocolate."

Minty was not happy. Oh no, she was not. First of all, she had felt horrible and nauseous all week, and now, horror of all horrors, it seemed as if Clavis had ate all of her chocolate. Vowing to enact her revenge on him later, Minty looked around for something to do. Seeing nothing (and in her PMS deranged mind, even monkeys will falling from the sky, singing "God Save the Queen" on ukelele's wouldn't seem interesting).

So Minty decided to take a walk. And she decided to take Mr. Rainbows along with her. Mr. Rainbows was a multi-coloured Ferret that she had experimented on as a Child, and now smelled vaguely of tooth past and cheerios, but Minty didn't care. She loved the wacky thing.

Attaching the pink leash to its tiny collar, Minty led Mr. Rainbows outside in to the harsh and bitter cold that was Fresno in January. Anything colder than 60 degrees made Minty feel like she was about to lose her toes, and at 61, Minty felt fairly frozen as she walked down the street in her white go-go boots.

A couple of men in a bright red convertable honked at her, and she waved happily. Finally, it seemed someone was noticing her and her lovely fashion sense!

Minty reached the local corner store and stuffed Mr. Rainbows down her shirt. Ferrets were illegal in California. Probably because they looked like rats.

Walking inside, the tiny bell rang, jangling merrily. Minty perused the rows, picking up cans of spam and reading the labels as if her life depended on it, then putting them down with a sigh that said that she would be back later. She couldn't resist the spam packages.

Mars. Snickers. Crunch. OH! Henry. The choices of chocolate were endless, and her recent sale of her virginity on Ebay could buy her her weight in chocolate but Minty was picky. Milky way, milky way...

THE HORROR.

The box, the sacred box that would hold her beloved Mily Way bars was empty.

Oh the humanity! Minty felt faint, and clutched the box to her chest, making Mr. Rainbows squeak softly. No matter, she could go with her second favourite. Searching the racks, she found the spot where the Reeses would be. NOT THERE.

Panicking, Minty searched for the rest of the bars on her list, but none were there. Close to tears, Minty tore to the back of the store and back to the counter. She threw an exacto knife on to the counter, and the man at the counter eyed her oddly.

"You didn't have my chocolate. Now i have to cut myself but dad doesn't allow me to have anything sharp in the house."

***
Somewhere, far away, Noire was snickering as she ate heaps of chocolate bars.

Terra Custom Form

Name of your Terra: Vin (often called Vinny)
Gender: No, but for convenience’s sake, we will assign it the female pronoun.
Physical Appearance:

- Hair Colour, Texture, Length and Style: Roughly chin-length though there are longer and shorter strands, somewhere between ‘shaggy’ and ‘wispy’. Nondescript, mousy brown in colour, with a few reddish streaks and a few blondish streaks, put in sort of haphazardly at different times.
- Eye Colour: Nondescript blue-hazel, some sort of hazy mix of blue-brown-green.
- Skin Colour: Pale-ish, slightly ashy, nondescript.
- Dress Type: Very generic, but will probably (eventually) branch into emo/punk, since there’s such a gender ambiguity in the style anyway. As a child, I think possibly tight-ish clothes that cover completely (a desire to cover the androgynous form is innate in the original species) in muted, nondescript colours.
- Abnormalities/Additions/Special Notes, if any: Vin is completely genderless. She seems to be caught between genders, with a face that could be either male or female, a flat chest and generally slim figure (without the broad shoulders and narrow waist of a male OR the slim shoulders and wide hips of a female) She also has pointed ears like an ‘elf’.
Terra's Personality: Vin is completely submissive and subservient; she exists only to contribute to the whole, to the ‘breeders’ of the society, and as such, views herself as worthless, lower than dirt. She elevates people who are capable of procreating to an almost godlike status, halfway worshipping them.
Vin does not have destructively low self-esteem, but since she views herself as below all humans with genders, she is easily taken advantage of, and she seems to think she deserves it. She doesn’t work hard at attaining any of her own goals, and she has absolutely no qualms about referring to itself as ‘it’. she doesn’t get embarrassed in public, but sometimes the emotion spills over at home, and Vin has mild bouts of despair.
She will never be hormonal or moody like a teenage girl, and it will never have the typical lusts of a general human. Vin will crave approval and attention, but she will not become emotionally attached to anyone in a romantic way. She is incapable of such thoughts.

Terra's 'Foreign' Planet Name: Farankht
Planet's Type: Farankht is a fairly earthlike planet, although its smaller size and shorter distance from its sun means that the weather patterns are more severe and the overall climate much warmer. The polar regions are cold but not as frigid as those of Earth, and there is more desert or scrubland, less temperate forests. There is a very thin band of equatorial rainforest, but it is populated by enormous, dangerous creatures that make colonization all but impossible. Most of the habitable space of the planet is in the rock that lies barely a yard below the soil in most places. Inhabitants dwell the underground but have no fear of venturing aboveground. Not much of the surface is arable, but edible plants are cultivated near the underground residencies, which are more like hives or nests than cities. There are two species of domesticated animal: a short, vicious beast not unlike a horse, and a large, stupid, flightless bird. The birds are cultivated for meat, the horse-beasts for hide and prey driving.
Brief Description of Planet's Culture: Farankht‘s culture is divided into two unique castes: breeders and nonbreeders. The Breeders are considered the elite of the planet, since only they can produce offspring. Nonbreeders are completely androgynous, born of the breeders but of a completely different genetic strain, through a peculiar genetic metamorphism long since lost in science. The culture itself is quite primitive, since after the genetic experiments that left the people of Farankht twisted into males, females, and neuters, organized together in a way reminiscent of some species of insect. Genetic diversity is essential, and the breeding offspring of breeders always start new colonies.
The genetic experiments of long ago actually involved twisting and mutating the human genome to produce nonbreeding individuals, in an attempt to curb population explosion. To encourage sterility and the rarity of fertile offspring, a few key genes from termite-like insects were spliced in. The population exploded with sterile individuals and over a dozen generations died down into a few breeding colonies with nonbreeding supporters. These spread like termites or ants, and became the islolated, technologically backwards species they are today.
The senses of the people of Farankht are somewhat elevated, especially the sense of smell, which leaves them remarkably sensitive to chemicals in the air. They also have the ability to somewhat manipulate the chemical makeup of their bodies, which can generate poisons in blood or saliva.

Terra's Guardian: Xaga Tensuhiro
Guardian Description/Backstory:

Age: 30
Appearance: Medium height, reasonably thin without much in the way of curves, binds her chest but wears very feminine clothes. The chest thing is an old habit directly related to her teen years as a martial arts apprentice. Some things just get in the way. Her hair is bright purple, spiked in back with chin-length bangs.
Personality: Xaga is cheerful and bubbly, almost childish in her optimism and sense of humour, but she has a very strong love for family and children. She is warm and accepting and prefers people to be happy. She has already fostered one problem child when the girl’s parents (the men she lived with during her apprenticeship) found three children to be too much to handle and needed help. She learned patience and compassion with the girl, who got into just about every self-destructive thing it is possible to get into.
History: Xaga’s life was spent pretty normally, insofar as she can ever be normal. She and her twin brother grew up mostly in the custody of their aunt; their parents were field researchers in two different science fields, and they weren’t often around. When Xaga was twelve, she was selected to live with a pair of elite men (lovers) and train in martial arts. She did so, and even after her apprenticeship was done, she stayed on with the men who had become her family. She was there for the arrival of all three of their children (twins—boy and girl—and another girl) but when the older pair was three, she left for college. She got a degree in accounting and got a job with a tech support company, for whom she still works. Not long after that, the troublesome Suurimara (youngest of her masters’ children) fell into her care. Xaga managed to straighten the girl out, and Suuri still lives with her on and off, almost as a sister.
Xaga hasn’t really done much that’s interesting the past two years, though. She’s simply worked as an accountant, and gotten paid well to do it.

Terra's Quest Thread: None!
Terra's Theme Song:
Fall Out Boy: I’ve Got a Dark Alley and a Bad Idea that Says You Should Shut your Mouth (Summer Song)
Lyrics here, video with music here.

Prompt Theme Chosen: Alien Invasion
Prompt: Holy crap, those aliens have invaded. They’re taking our jobs, and what’s worse, they all have green cards! How does your Terra react?

Prompt Response:

More immigrants were making their ways into Cherryville every day. No matter how hard the government tried to stop them, the aliens kept breaching the borders and finding their way into the town and its surrounding communities. It was getting to the point where Vin couldn’t walk down the street without running into someone who looked at it like it was ridiculous and babbled in a language that Vin couldn’t understand.

The sudden inrush was starting to get old. Vin really disliked the entire twisted issue. Vin also disliked the fact that all the Breeders seemed to want to talk about were the Aliens. It was starting to make Vin uncomfortable, since even the Aliens were Breeders, and therefore infinitely more elevated than a lowly Nonbreeder like itself. If the Breeders were that upset about other Breeders—who at least offered them an opportunity to increase their genetic diversity—then imagine how they must truly feel about Vin!

Vin sighed softly and kicked a rock on the sidewalk, a rock that sailed through the air and hit a passing Alien in the forehead. The Alien—Vin was certain after a moment that it was male—made a startled, high-pitched noise and fell backwards. In a moment, he jumped up and started toward Vin, murder in his dark, slanted eyes and a huge red mark spreading on his forehead. Vin blinked and backed away.

“I’m sorry, do not penalize this one. This one is a nonbreeder, and it exists only to serve,” Vin said quickly, reverting to the formal third-person speech pattern ingrained in its Nonbreeder genes. The Alien continued forward, scowling and holding up the rock. It shook the rock and gabbled something. Vin blinked, horrified, and put its hands over its mouth, backing away and shaking its head. The Alien repeated himself, shaking the rock and then saying something that might have been a question.

Vin shook its head again, still not understanding. The Alien’s expression softened just a little bit, and he dropped the rock to pull something out of his pocket. It was a piece of green paper.

“Green card,” the Alien said in slow, heavily-accented English. “I safe here. Have job. No hate me.” It was obvious that the Alien had no idea what his words meant, but that he was repeating them

Vin blinked and then nodded furiously before fleeing.

It didn’t stop until it got home, and then it paused on the porch, trying to remember what the green card had looked like. Vin didn’t look like an Alien, but from what it had just heard, it seemed like that green piece of paper could solve a whole lot of problems, and get Vin some protection from the typical savage disdain of the Breeders.

So. Vin needed green paper.

Terra Custom Form

Name of your Terra: Cailan Dex
Gender: Male
Physical Appearance:
- Hair Colour, Texture, Length and Style: Cailan's hair is so dark it might as well be black. It is coarse and thick. He wears it short except for one braid that starts behind his left ear and falls to his elbow. It fades to blond at the tip of the braid.
- Eye Colour: Very blue.
- Skin Colour: Milk-in-the-coffee tan.
- Dress Type: Cailan prefers not to wear shirts at all when he can get away with it. When he can't, he wears wife beaters or sleeveless shirts. He favors leather pants and heavy boots. Add fingerless gloves and the outfit is complete.
- Abnormalities/Additions/Special Notes, if any: Cailan is built like a brick outhouse. He's not bodybuilder big, but he is athletic.

Terra's Abilities: Cailan is one of the Called from his world. Long story short, this means that he has earth magic. He can make himself immovable by "rooting" himself to the ground. He can summon objects of dirt, clay or stone. He can also, if he concentrates, make himself invulnerable. Any distraction, however, means that the effect disappears immediately.

Terra's Personality: Despite the fact that Cailan comes from a warrior culture, he doesn't particularly like to fight. He won't start them, but he will finish them if they're brought to him. He is fiercely loyal to those he considers "his".

He has a sense of humor, though he doesn't smile often. He even more rarely laughs, but he does enjoy a good joke. Practical jokes, though not the slapstick type. He would never set someone up to get hurt, but he would hand them a stone spoon for their soup that dissolved into sand as soon as it got wet.

He also has moments of coltish clumsiness. He's working on this.

Terra's 'Foreign' Planet Name: Rhodi
Planet's Type: When imagining Rhodi, think the Italian countryside: rolling hills, waving, golden grass, inviting bodies of gem-colored water and clear blue skies. The weather is temperate, the land is fertile and dotted with orchards, vineyards, and villas.

And there the comparison ends. Rhodi has a gravity field several times that of Gaia. The people are, therefore, all thickly built (yes, even the women). They are a planet of living sculptures, more or less.

Brief Description of Planet's Culture: The Rhodiman are a culture of opposites. Within the villas -- walled, family-centered villages -- they encourage writing and music, dance and discourse. They play games, trade stories, and build families. Merchants are welcomed when they travel between villas, sharing news and encouraging trade between settlements.

But outside the walls, there are no such civilized rules. Any villa can attack another to improve their land holdings, to take new women for marriages and breeding, or simply for power. For this reason, Rhodiman boys are taught from an early age to fight, and to win, no matter the cost. They train within their own villas and compete in the summers in gladiatorial-like competitions on neutral ground.

Those who win gladiatorial matches are often gifted with land, wives, or both. Those among them who are Called often rise to positions of power, leading villas as the Prime male.

Terra's Guardian: Zach(ariah) Montrose.
Guardian Description/Backstory: Zach was a police officer, but was forced into early retirement due to an injury. He wasn't ready to simply sit in a corner getting fat and grey. Taking responsibility for Cailan seemed like the perfect opportunity to stay sharp. He likes the kid, genuinely cares about him. He also likes to try to out think him and beat him at his own jokes. At six feet tall, he's not quite a physical match for Cailan, but he can hold his own.

Terra's Quest Thread: Don't have one.
Terra's Theme Song: Next Contestant - Nickleback

Prompt Theme Chosen: Personal Epiphany/Discovery/Revelation
Prompt: Cailan learns about sharing. Gaia is nothing like "home".
Prompt Response:

"There's nothing wrong with sharing."

Cailan stomped through the living room toward his bedroom. His shoulders were high and tight. He felt hot inside, like he'd eaten soup too fast. He wanted to make fists but he didn't let himself. He wouldn't get angry or throw a tan-trum, like Zach said. Zach had told him that only little children did that. Cailan wasn't little. He didn't want to be a child.

"Don't walk away." Zach's voice carried well even though he wasn't shouting. "Let's talk about this."

Cailan filled his lungs with as much breath as he could get, held it, then exhaled as he turned around. "I don't think there's something to talk about."

Zach sat on the arm of the sofa and spread his hands. "We could start with why you got so upset. It was just a box of cereal."

"The last box," Cailan reminded him. "The last box of food."

Zach smiled. "We were in a grocery store, Cailan. There was plenty more food. More cereal, even. Just not that kind."

"But you didn't even stop the man who took the last box out from under your hand. You didn't say anything. You didn't fight back."

Zach's eyebrows lifted. "We don't have to fight for our food, Cailan. We can share. We've talked about this."

"Yes," he agreed. "Here, in your home. Because we live together, because we are like family, but that man was a stranger. We're not supposed to share with them." He paused, eyebrows pulling together. "Are we?"

Zach smiled, ducked his head and stood, crossing the room until they stood toe to toe. Cailan wasn't quite as tall as he was, but he would be soon. The difference in their heights made him stand up taller.

"It's never wrong to share," Zach said. "Maybe he needed the cereal more than we do. We can eat something else for breakfast in the morning. Maybe he doesn't have anything else."

Cailan frowned. "He didn't look like he was starving to me."

Zach laughed. "Yeah, well, me either, but you never know."

The frown remained. "What if he didn't need the food at all, but only took it because we let him. Is that still right?"

Zach tilted his head, thinking. Cailan watched his forehead wrinkle and his gaze slide sideways. That was something else he'd had to get used to. They didn't always make eye contact. Cailan still had to remind himself that looking elsewhere was okay.

"If I found out that the guy reached for the last box just to play a trick on us? I guess I'd be upset about that. I don't like to be fooled like that."

Relief swept through Cailan. This, at least, made sense. "No, neither do I. So. I will...hope," he tried, "that he was an honest man and I will forgive him."

Zach grinned, teeth bright against the dark brown hue of his skin. He clapped Cailan on the shoulder and gripped lightly. "How about pizza tonight to make up for it?"

Pizza. Cailan loved the stuff. The faintest smile tugged at his lips before he gave in. "Yes, pizza. Please." Pizza, and then he'd go to his room and think about this sharing thing a little bit more.

He suffers from insomnia, and therefore gets little sleep at night.

Brief Description of Planet's Culture: The Catchri are the dominant people on Eckrinel, mostly warriors and hunters and herders (the most common livestock is lamb-sized beast with horned feet and a beaky mouth called a krikew that feets on what we would equate with a mouse.

Terra's Quest Thread: N/A
Terra's Theme Song:

The Man Who Sold the World (David Bowie/Kurt Cobain)

We passed upon the stair, we spoke of was and when
Although I wasn't there, he said I was his friend
Which came as some surprise I spoke into his eyes
I thought you died alone, a long long time ago

Oh no, not me
I never lost control
You're face to face
With The Man Who Sold The World

I laughed and shook his hand, and made my way back home
I searched for form and land, for years and years I roamed
I gazed a gazely stare at all the millions here
We must have died along, a long long time ago

Who knows? not me
We never lost control
You're face to face
With the Man who Sold the World

Prompt Theme Chosen: Teen Angst
Prompt: Vladimirov just can't seem to sleep...
Prompt Response:

Vladimirov was lying in bed awake, early that morning. He glanced at the clock's bright red digital display next to him. In the dark, the numbers blared "5:14". It was hard to believe that he'd been awake for so long. Sure, it hadn't been the whole night. Just from one o'clock in the morning onward... But still, he would've liked to be sleeping during that time.

He wondered why he couldn't sleep. Did it have something to do with not being human? No, he didn't think so. If it did, his body wouldn't be asking for sleep so badly every night. Then, was something wrong with him? Perhaps he was sick. His brow furrowed a little bit as he contemplated the thought. He wasn't human, so would Ivan be able to tell if he was sick? He hoped so... He wouldn't want to be sick... Who would cure him? Human doctors might not know anything about his anatomy, or how his body worked. He grew anxious. No, he wasn't sick. He didn't feel sick. He just couldn't sleep. Then again, he'd never been sick before...

Vladimirov looked back at the clock. The red lights proclaimed that it was 5:22 this time.

He tried to distract himself, wondering what time Ivan was going to wake up. As a rancher, he always woke up early... Perhaps he'd wake around six-thirty. That seemed reasonable for a rancher. Vladimirov glanced at the clock again. 5:25. He groaned. Why was time moving so slowly? He was so bored with just lying here, and due to thoughts of being sick, felt more awake by the second! Vladimirov slowly got out of his bed. Perhaps he could take a run around the ranch before Ivan woke up. Maybe that would take potential sickness off of his mind. Yes, he thought that miught just do the trick.

He walked over to his closet and took out a dark green shirt and some brown slacks. Then, he turned to his drawers and took out a pair of boxers and a pair of socks. He quickly undressed and donned the new clothes. He folded his old clothes, as Ivan had taught him, and put them in the hamper.

Carefully, Vladimirov opened the door and creeped quietly down the hall. He didn't want to wake Ivan up, after all. As he passed the door of Ivan's room he heard a very loud beeping noise. It shocked him, and made him jump. Quickly, he realized that it was that alarm clock Ivan had bought a few days ago. He had to laugh as he heard Ivan stop the alarm inside the room. The man had woken up a whole hour before he'd expected.
