Usually, I lurk around the guild all day and wait for someone to post, because, frankly, that's how much of a nerd I really am. Anywho, since school's started up again, I can't lurk as frequently anymore, and this also means putting Niora and Aprë on hold for the weekdays. But fear not! I promise to update as much as I can on the weekends from now on. =)

...Well, I do if the WiFi isn't crapping out on me. My college's IT department is very unreliable (like most IT departments).

First they said we would need the laptops IN class, then they said we wouldn't (and it's rather heavy to carry mine), now in some of the classes they are pretty much BANNED. It's just not worth it, but I still carry it to math just in case. I had to switch sections and this teacher never said. And I'll probably at some point need the computer for one of my labs.
But I hate taking notes on the computer.
So unless it's a computer class....

It's kind of campus policy that you can use laptops any time as long as the instructor hasn't said to put them away (for a test, quiz, experiment, activity, etc). I don't see the point of banning laptops in college classes.

Well, that'd be all fine and dandy, except I'm in high school, not college, and they pretty much banned all electronic devices. Not to mention I don't actually have a laptop to begin with. xD
Anywho.... yeah, I need to get more updates for Niora and Aprë... hmm... what new grammar shall I input this weekend? I wonder...

I don't see the point of banning laptops in college classes. Well, there are 3 in which they said "You'll need it every freaking time," but in none of them have we used it AT ALL. And it's driving me nuts, because it's a pain to carry my laptop, since it's oddly proportioned so that I can't find any covers for it so that it'll fit in my backpack and still be protected >.< Plus it's heavy, even if it's just in my backpack loose. Grr. "You should bring your laptops next week, even though we won't use them, just for practice bringing your laptops to class." --ACTUAL QUOTE FROM MY TEACHER. burning_eyes That means that I have to take my laptop to a chemistry test that's immediately before this class, then cross campus to that class with one of the heaviest laptops still in existence that doesn't run on 2000. I love this machine, but he's not made to be trucked around. Urrrgh.
