Shinigami Academy 
Apart from the academy itself, in a separate building, lies the dormitories, where the students occupy their time sleeping, studying, and generally living when they aren't off training in some fashion. Each student has a separate dormitory room, and will remain living in such until they complete their training in the Academy.
The academy is attended for approximately 'six years' before the Shinigami is considered 'prepared' though of course some students may or may not be held back, or advanced more quickly, based on their skill, and how well their abilities mature during their schooling. At the end of the academy, once all other training has been completed, each student is required to pass a series of tests that take an additional three years, beginning with basic swordsmanship, and academy study, ending with real combat exercises. After accomplishing this, they may then move forward into a Squad, or Division, or remain as the 'generic' Shinigami who are simply assigned to squads as the need arises.
On the academy grounds is a students library, where kidou technique incantations, and records of Seireitei history may be located. There is of course a restricted section, but this is by no means the Central Library of Seireitei. The library is located near the center of the school, and is filled with thousands of text and reference books, both old and new. Shelves as high as the eight foot ceiling fill most of the room, filled with tomes with titles ranging from simple books "The Spirit in Your Head: A Beginner's Guide to Zanpaktou" and "Kidou for Dummies" to more advanced texts, like "A History of Soul Society" and "Hollow Attacks: Protecting the Innocent". The area near the door is cleared of shelves, and has tables spread out for students to quietly study. A small section of shelves in the corner is roped off for the sole use of upperclassmen.
Class Roster & Graduation Requirements
Classes must be taken as listed below, and you must be noted with 'passed' in order to graduate. Certain classes do have prerequisites, meaning other classes that must have been taken. Also note that certain other things may need to be fulfilled, such as with kidou, techniques will have to be learned and mastered, as noted in the battle system.
Zanpaktou Techniques
Sensei: Shihōin Miyoko (NPC/Dischord)
Class Prerequisites: None
Class Description: This class is in the dojo of the academy. It has one doorway, which is a massive oriental style make. The flooring is all hardwood, and have been polished by the brushes of fifth year students. The classroom is fairly basic: there are no mats, desks, or anything that would harm the practice with swords. The class has one goal: to teach students the basics of sword fighting. Through sparring, practicing, and tests against the actual teacher, the students will eventually learn how to fight with their zanpaktou. However, the student should note that they will not be using their swords in this class. The students will be using small wooden training swords. Training Swords have a damage of '1-10'. [Damage dealt is considered 'subdual', and is not considered 'fatal' damage.]
Hakuda Techniques
Sensei: Houjun Korin (NPC/Dischord)
Prerequisite Classes: Zanpaktou Techniques
Class Description: A class that deals primarily with hand to hand combat, and the various martial art styles that can be used by shinigami. Primarily offensive and defensive styles are taught, though some practice styles are taught as well. This class is meant to hone speed, dexterity, and awareness of your opponents potential maneuvers. Every shinigami in this class is encouraged to take on their own unique style of hand to hand combat. This class is held in another of the dojo classrooms, with mats placed around strategically for practice in tosses, throws, and various maneuvers that may place the students briefly in harms way. All those participating are expected to control themselves when striking another student.
Students hands are wrapped, making all of the actual damage dealt halved. [Damage is 1-4 plus any bonuses, divded by 2. If the number is uneven, round down.]
Kidou: Technical Application
Sensei: Kareki Nagi (NPC/Tsailin)
Prerequisite Classes: Zanpaktou Techniques, Hakuda Techniques
Class Description: The manipulation and use of one's reiatsu in bothoffensive, and defensive forms. In this class, one is expected to learn all three primary forms of Kidou, those being Hadou, Bakudou, and Communication. This is also where the initial study of using one's reiatsu to increase their speed is begun. This class is meant to train intelligence, awareness, and reiatsu control. This class is held in another of the dojo classrooms, there are plastic targets placed along the walls of the room for practice with using hadou. The room is specially built with a reiatsu absorbent rock. Once reiatsu is released in this room, it will simply evaporate slowly but steadily, causing any effects (binds and damage along with any bonuses) done by Hadou and Bakudou from the other students to be halved. Hadou targets in the room are mostly stationary, except for the 5 at the very back which are moving targets. They have a dodge roll of 1d20 +5.
At one corner of the classroom, there is a tank full of hell butterflies which will be used for the lessons later on. All students are required to leave their zampakuto on a rack by the door since they are not going to be using it during this class.

Hohou Development
Sensei: Shihōin Hiren (NPC/Dischord)
Prerequisite Classes: Zanpaktou Techniques, Hakuda Techniques, Kidou: Technical Application
Class Description: The manipulation of one's reiatsu to increase their speed exponentially, allowing for faster, almost untraceable movements. Also, incorporation of shunpo into one's basic combat techniques. This class trains dexterity, agility, and reiatsu control. This class is formally held in a forested area of the academy, connected to the Rukongai Forest. While attending class, the students will be expected to stay within the class boundaries, which is restricted via fences.
Shikai Studies
Sensei: Gakkuri Aichou (NPC/The Paradox)
Prerequisite Classes: Zanpaktou Techniques, Hakuda Techniques, Kidou: Technical Application, Hohou Development
Class Description: The studies of shikai, both in basic, and advanced form. This class is necessary in order to teach those who have not yet unlocked their shikai, how to properly learn about their zanpaktou, and to help those who have unlocked their shikai, to control and manipulate those abilities they possess. This class is meant to train many things, primarily awareness, as it takes a good deal of it in order to become aware of your zanpaktou. This class is held outside, as shikai release can get quite explosive.

Rei Sighed as he walked the halls of the nigh empty Academy. The echo of his footsteps was more faint than any other students because of his Ninja Tabi. "Kidou.....bah." He shook his head and gripped his Zanpaktou tightly as he came upon a door marked 'Library'. Looking to one side, and then the other, Rei entered and stopped after closing the door, allowing his eyes time to adjust to the different level of lighting. "....lotta books" the boy murmured as he stepped forward, giving the immediate area a once over.
"Maybe....I can get a small jump on the others in this class by grabbing a book on Reiatsu control...not like I'll be able to keep up once they get here and class starts...the sensei 'aint in either..." Rei thought out loud as he stepped forward towards the center of the library, if it was anything other than books, he would have been impressed with the hefty size of the place, but now wasn't exactally the time either. With a passing glance, Rei spotted a rack for Zanpaktou's and walked over to it, raising his blade to put it in place. "Makes sense...not like a sword would be needed in here...." Rei would then go to place his sword down, only to find that he could not pry his fingers open enough the let it go. "...fine....not like it would stay there anyway...I'll deal with it if it becomes a problem." He thought with a grimace at the thought of his next step.
"Now.....to find a book..." He said to himself with a hint of sarcasm as he grazed over the entirety of the facility. After a moment of preparation, the 20 year old boy was off to find a book on controlling his explosive Reiatsu and spirit pressure, taking a seat close to a window and out of the way of the place he thought a large chunk of the group that was his classmates would sit.

In the middle of his meditation Sakura felt the arrival of his classmates. He had sensed the arrival of a stranger who apparently, like him, had decided to practice his reiatsu control. Slowly returning to his trance Sakura kept constant watch for the arrival of a reiatsu that may belong to the one who will assist them.

Kenji entered the academy doors and sighed as he Placed his Zanpakto in it's appropriate spot then looked around there didn't seem to be many people here yet so he decided since it was Kidou they where doing, Reiatsu control would be the best thing to practice and train up.
Kenji found an empty space. and relaxed a bit falling on a bit of a trance for a moments then he came back and tried to focus his mind and feel the reiatsu around him, and distinguish one from the other it wasn't that difficult, they had distingishing differences, but that wasn't his only objective he needed to learn to control his own Reiatsu.

Kenji focused his mind and tryied to fluctuacte his own Reiatsu, feelingthe ebb and flow of it, he could feel it circulateing around him, it wasn't to powerful, which was why he was here to fix that. He tried to move and manipulate it but it wouldn't give, he sighed though and attempted to continue. twisting the feeling of the reiatsu around him slowly learning to pull it around himself and make it swirl a bit, he felt like he was finally starting to under stand now.

Kenji was starting to feel the strain now, different from the physical, it hurt ina different way sure it was strainning physically, but the mental strain was bit worse he was starting to sweat now, but he was determined as he pushed himself farther feeling the flow of the Reiatsu around him, and learning to distingiush it from others, like a scent he was starting to feel the difference matching Reiatsu to different people. Each was different in it's own respect and strangly he found none that he really liked the feeling of, he concentrated a bit more to really feel the others around him he could sence them that far away there where two, in the acdemy, once was focusing his Reiatsu the other he wasn't sure about.

Kenji pushed himself now to focus his reiatsu to manipulate it a little and try to figure out or force his way to control it, he pushed hard and focused harder pressing himself foreward but all it did was cause his Reiatsu to flow outward which was draining him, so he quickly stopped breatheing heavily, he now knew that force would not be the answer to this, he needed to slowly learn how to slowly flow with it and carefully, learn to manipulate it, he sighed as he rested for a moment against the wall.

::She wasn't completely familiar with the Academy, so it took Medixia a while to find the library within the halls. She sighs as she enters. She's not completely sure she's ready for this, nor is she sure the sensei would allow her to take the class considering she hasn't participated in any of the previous. She looks around to see a rack for zanpakutou to be mounted, and she almost laughs as she rubs the ring of her own. Too small. I think I'll hold on. She walks around to take in the surroundings and see any faces that have already arrived.::

After meditating Sakura knew that his mind was now at peace. He began to increase the flow of his reiatsu, allowing it to slowly increase in pressure but maintaining it at a controllable rate.

After acquiring the amount of reiatsu flow that would be needed, Sakura began to focus the reiatsu towards his hands. As he focused a small ball of light began to form. When he saw the ball Sakura lost concentration and lost control of his reiatsu. It suddenly shot up in pressure and created a slight explosion that sent Sakura flying in to the air.

Yuuha found her way to the class with very little trouble, and upon hearing the command to leave her zanpakutou in the assigned spot by the door, did so with a bit of unease. She hadn't been without it since she'd been in Soul Society, and felt...naked, in a way, without it on her hip.
Slipping into a chair near the front of the room, she listened to the lecture with purest concentration on her face. Unlike most students, taking notes was useless since she couldn't write. Instead, Yuuha had to rely on her memory for classes. It was a memory honed from years spent having to memorize Buddhist texts. Her sightless gaze never left the instructor as she drank in every word and every detail.

Ethan skulked into the Library, feeling tired and lonely. Since he had really been to tired to socialize over the last few days, he hadn't made any friends. Awkwardly choosing out a seat with seats on both sides empty, Ethan slid over and sat down, his foot tapping with nervousness, his eyes surveying the scene in front of him.

Kenji had finished his resting and began to conectrate again manipulateing his Reiatsu again, trying to gain more control under it, it was harder than it sounded the great mental and physical strain on him was alot. But also there was the pressure to improve before class had begun he didn't want to make a fool of himself infront of everyone, but he kept his cool and pushed himself further. He could feel it starting to surge again, he was begging to get used to it now as he felt it pulse around him.

Kenji continued he felt the flow now of his Reiatsu, how it move about, he could finally feel it, it felt like a smooth stream rather than when he was trying to push it, that felt like walking against the current of a river but now it was smooth an easyier, the strain was begging to dissappear as he tried to slowly change the flow towards his right hand, the Reiatsu didn't press against his attempt to change the flow but slowly it began to moave slightly towards his right palm the feel was eayier, it was slowling becomeing under his control.

After a few moments Kenji could feel the Reiatsu start to build inside his hand, He foucused more using his mind to push the flow and try to build it just a tiny bit faster he was proud of himself for actually being able to move the flow of his Reiatsu, but he needed to build this faster and get better control, but as he tried to build it faster he began to lose control, and he ahd to slow down more than he had been when he started. "Darn it i need to get this down."
