Ok, recently they've added, or going to add, a 2% tax. I say tax because it is a fee paid going back to the Gaian "goverment". This is supposed to lower expensive items, or so they say. Personally, I see that this is hurtful towards our virtual economy. I started this thread to see your opinions and to have a light and relaxed debate on this.
My view on this is that it's actual hurtful. I see people raising the prices of their good to make up for this 2%. For example, the demonbow that I am questing for, before they introduced this tax it was about 40K gold, now it has risen to 47K gold. That's a whole 7K gold in about two to three days, four at the most. another item I saw is the Mochi Puppy (its so cute!) was around 35K before, now its about 44K. Now, I made my point, anyone else wants to make a point?

What? The 2% tax? that happened the 23rd or 22nd. Or do you mean the instant inflation due to the tax? That was about 1-2 days ago, some items are still rising, others thankfully stayed or lowered in price.

ITS ALIVE and i dont understand how it helps...virtual money irts not like they need to solve a money shortage... just raise shop prices if ur so concerned i say to them

How does introducing a tax into a community stabilize it? I mean wouldnt everything just get higher in price and make it even harder to get money? I think, in the Gaian mind, that if we raise prices, we will get more profit! I say....dude....no.
Anyone else have a different opinion?

I know! Some people are PMing other people and telling them to raise their prises on certain items...Like I was saving up for a Nitemare Bustire and all and someone told them to raise the prise up to 1mil...I was highly upset. stare
