LOSING YOUR POST NATAL WEIGHT
So you've gone through the pregnancy, put on the weight, had your baby but are shocked with how much weight you have left even though your child is no longer inside you. When your pregnant your body needs extra nutrients to be able to cope with the demand of your little one as she/he is growing inside you, but once you have had your child and your breast feeding then your burning 500 extra calories so that is one good thing, but what for those who are bottle feeding, why do we get the short straw.
There is not much you can do because you need to rest to allow your body to recover, remember not to take on too much as it will just tire you out and make your enjoyment with the earlier months with your child a really difficult time. Have a well balanced diet and insted of hitting the gym again go out with your child in the pram for 2 walks a day it will do you both good to get air and sunshine. Just walking alone for a hour burns up 200 calories so if you imagine pushing a pram it ups the ammount and pushing it up a hill well your on your way to getting rid of those calories.
Got a toddler well dance around the room with them carry them as much as you can when walking it will help you to get rid of those pounds, push the buggy in a power walk all the time. do small stretches in your livingroom, go swimming with your baby or toddler it will tone you up and make your bond with your child even so stronger and whats more take your partner or a family member get them to take your child halfway through and do some laps or join a hour aerobics class in the water as it will all help in the end.
snack on fruit and drink 8 glasses of water a day more if you can do so, avoid caffine, soft drinks or anything which can linger and also avoid eating after 9pm in the evening unless it is something like a salad or something light as this will just lie in your stomach whilst you sleep.
