The marauder's Factions A Brief Explanation
You've stumbled across this subforum & now you find yourself asking "How did I get here? what is the internets? What are guild factions?" ... Well, we're just kidding about the first two questions... I think. Anyways, here is everything you've ever needed to know and then some about our guild factions:
The Marauder's Guild Factions were established within the first week of our guild opening. They were established under the pretext that they would be very similar to Harry Potter 'houses' & we would hold faction competitions, etc etc. Needless to say, they proved to be very unpopular and that forum remained more barren than the dead sea. After a month of no progress we decided to open the factions to where anyone could make one. Yet again, they remained deserted. So here we are with version 3.0 of the Marauder's Guild Factions. The new intent of the marauder's Factions is to make the guild more active. Each faction will serve as a club of sorts. There will be 7 main factions. Each guild member will be assigned to one of these 7 factions. We will have a sorting of sorts. Each member will also be able to establish their own mini-clubs which will exist as topics in this forum. The rules for establishing your very own club will be explained later.

The marauder's Factions Rules & Regulations
Faction Entry: Upon entrance to the guild each member will be sorted into one of the seven main factions. This will be done via a quiz sent out through PM. Each member is expected although not required to participate in their according faction. The Rules for the main factions are as follows:
Obey the ToS Absolutely NO page stretching We'd prefer to keep to PG-13 content Posts must be at least semi-literate.
Clubs: Each guild member will also have the opportunity to create & participate in the marauder's clubs. Unlike the main 7 factions, the member can participate & join as many clubs as they'd like. The rules for the clubs are as followed:
Each member can create & participate in an unlimited number of clubs. However, the club creator is expected to keep their club active. If a club remains inactive for over a month the thread will be locked. The club creator will create their own rules. All clubs are expected to follow the ToS. Club creators cannot ban users. However, they can & should establish a black list. If you feel that a club has violated the guild or site rules please PM your complaint to mischievousmaraudersguild. The problem will be taken care of within a week.

The Marauder's Factions The main 7
As we have said before each member is sorted into a faction. If you feel you have been sorted into the wrong faction or would like to change factions please PM your complaint to mischievousmaraudersguild. Please give us a detailed explanation of why you feel you do not belong in your faction or why you'd like to change. The following are legitimate reasons to request a change:
You've outgrown a faction [we will have a age based faction] Your interests do not pertain to the faction you were placed in. You find your faction rather dull.
The Following contains a basic summary of each of the main guild factions:
1. Ladies' & Gents': The ladies' & Gent's faction is aimed for more formal & older guild members. This faction is for those who enjoy fancy pants things such as dressing up, plays, & monthly collectibles. This faction tends to have in depth, meaningful, & intelligent discussion & is thus generally aimed for the older gaiains.
2. Mischievous Adolescents: This faction was made specifically for members ages 12 & under. We realize that many kids mature much more quickly now a days. However, we felt it would be smart to let them share a common place among their age group.
3. Boom! Zoom! VROOM!: This faction is aimed for those action packed marauders who love a good fight scene & car chase. This faction was made for gamers, anime lovers, and of course dedicated Matrix worshippers. If the phrase "action-packed" does anything for you, this faction is calling.
4. The Dead Poet's Society: As you may have guessed this faction is dedicated to those brilliant minds & writers out there. If the arts are calling you so is this faction.
5. Taciturn Tales: This faction was designed for those with a morbid sense of humor. If you love the shining, if you laughed at Texas Chainsaw Massacre, if you thought the Grudge was so bad it made you want to beat the director down with Miscellaneous fruits & foods this guild is for you.
6. The Marauders: This faction is for those true pranksters out there. We just can't seem to not be up to no good.
7. Fantasy Island: This faction was designed for those in love with all that is fantasy: LOTR, Harry Potter, dragons, unicorns, an organized bedroom.... you name it! RPGers & dreamers often find themselves here.
