In the aftermath of the finals of Battle City, the dark personality of Malik was banished into the deepest caverns of the Shadow Realm. But a hole was ripped in the shadows and monsters were soon to follow.
In the years that followed, there has been a series of civil and global war. Sightings of strange monsters have been seen in several parts of the war, confusion has spread and misguided leaders have created wars with allies and rivals alike. Cities have been turned into battle fields, lined with the bodies of the slain innocents and sinners. The world was thrown into chaos.
The ones who have survived have learned the only way to defeat these monsters were to summon their own. Using cards from the popular game Duel Monsters and the technology made by Kaiba Corporation, duelists have begun to fight back. But where there is fighters, the wicked ones are sure to not be far away.

o1. Follow all Gaia Rules; No Godmodding, Powermodding or anything like that. You're not invincible.
o2. Be nice to all other RPers; they're here to play not to argue with you.
o3. I make the rules and I can kick you out whenever I want.
o4. I can also add rules here so check regularly.
o5. Romance is allowed. Keep is PG-13.
o6. Violence is allowed. No killing off other characters unless I am notified.
o7. Please - for the love of everything good - please be AT LEAST semi-literate. Absolutely no chat-speak or *...* for actions. And use correct grammar and spelling; a few mistakes are understandable. Write AT LEAST 3 SENTANCES. No one-liners.
o8. All OCC is to either be ((...)), (...), [[...]], [...] format, so there is no confusion.
o9. PM all profiles to me and title it 'Cheese' so I know you read the rules. Otherwise I will ignore it.
o10. Inform us when you will be going away for a long period of time.
o11. Original Yami and Hikari's (ex. Yuugi and Yami; Ryou and Bakura; Malik and Marik) are separated. All make up character Yami's are together.
o12. Don't go crazy with the Millennium Items. I don't want everyone having one.
o13. Don't speed through the RP.
o14. I made this RP so don't tick me off. You will get a warning and if you continue, I'll kick you out of the RP entirely.
o15. This isn't the typical 'dueling' RP. If your monster is attacked, you feel the pain. In other words, if you monster is destroyed, you're dead.
o16. No God Cards or Sacred Beasts.

: razz ersonalty:: Naomi says what's on her mind. She can be sarcastic at times and impatient. She is protective of her friends and loved ones and usually willing to let out a helping hand. She doesn't like being center of attention. She has often been referred to as a pervert.
: razz ast History:: Her father was an archaeologist who traveled all over the world. Her mother lived in Domino with Naomi's brother Takuro but has since moved near Tokyo. Naomi and Takuro were separated when they were kids and she hasn't quite gotten over that fact. When her father was in Egypt, Naomi came across an artifact that was said to be a part of a separated group of mystical Millennium Items. That was when she met the spirit inside called Despire. She lived alone in Domino until the wars broke out and she got caught up in them. She has since been able to rescue her brother from the ruins of Tokyo.

((Okay, I was waiting for more people but it looks like it’s just us for now. Let the RP begin!))
Naomi walked through the debris littered streets. She was wearing black pants with a red belt and a red tank top that showed a good amount of her belly (the shirt rising just above her navel). Dark tennis shoes adorned her feet and her white hair was pulled back in a pony tail with a red ribbon, only allowing a few strands to frame her face. On her arm was a duel disk, something that seemed foreign to see her with. Before all this chaos, she never dueled. She used to collect cards and she’d send some to her younger brother. Speaking of which, he should be around here somewhere. The white haired, seventeen-year-old sighed, looking around. They’d gotten separated after a run in with some Purifiers (a very small group of people who believed the monsters were here to purify the world).
The golden bracelet on her wrist flashed as the spirit instead spoke through the mind-link they shared. //He should have stayed close.//
/Hey! That’s my baby brother you’re talking about./ The dark blue eyed girl said in the defense of her sibling. /Besides I should have kept a better eye on him./
The spirit sighed, //We aren’t going back into this again, are we?// She really didn’t mind Naomi’s little brother. It reminded her of her own brother... when he was still alive.
The dark blue eyed girl only sighed. /I’ll go look near the square. That’s our meeting place if we should ever get separated./ She stated as she turned down a street.
Takuro was lost. He wasn’t sure how he’d done it but he was most defiantly lost. The white haired boy readjusted his glasses as he walked along an unknown street. He had a duel disk on his arm and his blue eyes shifted to each of his sides, expecting at any moment for something to jump out at him. The fourteen-year-old wore jeans and an orange shirt with black designs on the chest. On his other wrist was a black armband and he wore sneakers.
“Naomi said to meet in the square so I’ll head there...” He muttered as he walked. “I only hope I don’t run into anyone on the way.”

Kanamie was leaning up against the wall with her eyes closed her light violet hair wavered slightly in a small breeze. she wore black leather pants, which fit snuggly on her hips and followed every curve; a Black Tank top was under a think black hoodie she had on. she had her Millennium Scythe in one hand, and a black and red duel disk of her own design on her other arm opposite og the one holding the scythe.
Kasume sighed boredly 'where is that Yami..... i swear Marik couldn't find his way through a damn alleyway.....' she then huffed.
Kanamie chuckled slightly 'you know him he likes to has a thing for being late...... it's amusing really....'

Naomi’s pace quickened as she reached the square. She panted and looked around, panic gripping her as she couldn’t find him.
/He’s not here... Takuro’s not here.../ she said
//Calm down; he’s around here somewhere. Just wait for a minute and maybe he’ll show up// Despire said. It was strange to feel panic and fear coming at once from Naomi.
Naomi nodded and she started to walk around the square.
Takuro turned down a street and then noticed someone leaning against the wall of a building. He froze. He didn’t know this person – a girl as he came to notice. He rarely saw anyone who wasn’t trying to kill them so this caused him to be wary about this person. His only hope was that the woman wouldn’t notice him.

Kanamie's eyes snapped open sensing a presence near her, pail, violet eyes glanced at Takuro. her eyes held no emotion, they were cold and seemingly lifeless. "nnnnnn......" was all she said as she watched him walk by cautiously "hn. i wont hurt you.... you're not even worth my time anyways now run along before you annoy me...." her voice was harsh and serious.

Areku hadn't known Ryou that long, really. They just barely knew each other... of course that mainly being because Shikyo was talking to Bakura alot of the time. But in these rare moments when Shikyo wasn't, and she could talk with Ryou she enjoyed it... well, except for right now...
"Run!! It's too strong to fight!" Ryou shouted, running away from a Giant Orc that was storming towards them on a side road.
"It's a good thing they're really stupid!" she shouted back to him, "Split up!" they turned opposite corners, panting as they took seperate routes towards the park, Areku got there first. Her hair fell over he face, shadowing it from view. Her face was red from running so hard, and she was just starting to cool off.
"I'd thank god even more that that thing wasn't a Harpie Sister.... otherwise we would've never survived." Ryou said, walking up, breathing hard as he plopped down in the bench beside Areku.

Kanamie summoned her Berserk Dragon "let's go find some trouble old friend shall we?" she hopped on the back of her Dragon and took off she soared over Ryou, and Areku her dragon had the Giant Orc in its claws and it slammed it into the ground as Kanamie jumped off. her bright purple hair wisped with the breeze and her Berserk dragon took out the Gain Orc without hardly an effort"...hn..... shame i was looking for something worth my time....." she turned and looked at Ryou "you..... do you know where your Yami is?" her and the berserk Dragon faced them now. her eyes seemed lifeless, and emotionless.
