"Get down there, you evil monster!" Pink-tipped ears laid back, the perma-kit glared up at the tree, all three tails standing up in outrage. "Apologise, or feel the wrath of my magic!" Admittedly, Lace had no magic, but the power of her imagination, was enough to the little kit. It was also this power, that made her think that the squirrel that had thrown a nut down at her was a "monster". And the kit was not about to give up.
"I'm counting to three!" She hollered up the tree. "One...two..."

Ah, the power of imagination; Tuuli was certainly no stranger to it by far. As it was, the blue perma-kit was off on another adventure, having once again found no luck with finding someone to bother back at the house (they seemed to be getting fairly smarter as time went by, Tuuli realized), a flower crown on her head as always.
At the sight of another kit, the female stopped, especially upon hearing the words 'monster'; despite her proclamations of being an innocent flower princess, the kit did consider herself a bit of a defender of love and justice and all that.
"Monster? Where?"

The greyish-pink kit blinked, stopping in her count as she whirled around to face the voice that had spoken. Was it another monster? Oh, the trials and tribulations of her life. Lace thought rather dramatically as she readied herself.
Oh. It was just another kit. With a flower crown! How pretty! Thoughts of vanquishing the monster were wiped momentarily from her head. "Greetings, fellow kit!" Lace chirped, tails wagging. "Lace's the name, fighting for peace is my game! And who may you...OW!"
For the squirrel had been amused by the kit's shouts and threw yet another nut at her, chattering happily as it darted back into it's hole.

No, not a monster, though she was a terror all the same, that was for sure. The love and peace thing was just a cover for her true nature, according to Sunday, but, then again, Sunday had been terrified of the perma ever since she herself was a kit, so it wasn't really all too clear as to whether the yellow female was all that trustworthy or not.
"Greetings, Lady Lace!" Tuuli chirped, "I am Tuuli, princess of the flowers, and defender of justice!" The kit gave a mock-curtsy, quite content to slip back into a princessy-mood. Glancing upwards at the squirrel, the perma narrowed her eyes.
"Is this the foul beast?" she inquired, looking ready to climb the tree.

"I am pleased to make your acquaintance, Princess Tuuli." Lace bowed her head slightly, then rubbed the spot on her head where the nut had hit her, throwing another angry glare up the tree. "Yes, that was the beast you speak of. And I am sorry that I have to meet you under this circumstances. For the monster has just unleashed his dire weapons." Pink-tipped ears pressed back, she growled up at the tree. "Come face me, if you dare! If you care to apologize, and lay down your weapons, I may let you off. If not..." The kit drew in a deep breath and puffed herself up, trying to look as dignified as possible. "I am left with no other choice than to vanquish you."

Oh dear; so there apparently was more than one kit out there who went along with this nobility thing. Sunday wouldn't be too happy to hear that, really. Then again, so as long as none of them were obsessive treasure hunters on the side, and as long as Tuuli never brought any of them home, things would be alright.
Maybe.
"Apologize not, Lady Lace!" Tuuli exclaimed, shaking her head, "I, too, know of the trials and tribulations associated with combating with the enemy."
...where had she learned these words? Of course, did it really matter? The girl was never going to grow up, after all; one had to wonder if she knew what she was saying, in any case.
"Allow me to assist you!" the perma-kit said, starting to scramble up the tree, "I shall give this foul beast a dire punishment, one that shall show him never to mess with those of a higher breeding!"

Lace had an overactive imagination. The kit really couldn't be blamed; she lived alone and had no playmates save for the wild creatures that she met occasionally. So, to relieve her boredom, she amused herself by play-acting, for example, she had become a cowgirl the last few days, chasing after a rabbit with a rope she had fashioned out of long grass.
And now, she was a magician, fighting evil. This seemed to be much more interesting, and it had carried on for quite a while. And now, oh joy! Another kit that shared her passion.
Lace grinned at her new playmate. "Of course! One should never turn down the help of another!" The kits climbed up after Tuuli excitedly.
The squirrel, confused by all this ruckus, had journeyed out on a branch to investigate the noise and when spotted them, gave a harrumph, and began to chew on a nut, all the while watching them climb. Somehow, it seemed to find this amusing.

Well, Tuuli had been the only one in her family for a brief moment of time, before three other perma-kits whom couldn't be found these days joined the group, but if anything, it had been her overexposure to fairy tales and RPGs that had brought this about. These days, she was a flower princess treasure hunter...something. Space cowgirl, maybe? Brave warrior?
Of course, she was first and foremost fairly dense and in denial, ignoring anything to the contrary about what she was.
Making her way onto the branch the squirrel was on, the blue female pointed a paw at the critter. "Wicked beast, I shall have you know that your punishment is soon at hand!" she warned, frowning, "If you do not apologize for your actions, it is to the dungeons with you!"

The kit scrambled frantically after Tuuli, cursing herself for not knowing a flying, or levitation spell that could make this easier. It must be the monster's evil aura's influence. Lace decided and was soon satisfied by this excuse.
The squirrel eyed both of them warily and started chattering angrily. First on it's tree, now spouting some nonsense. Hmph! It flicked it's furred tail at them and turned away to munch on it's nut.
Lace growled. "We're magnanimous enough to give you a chance, beast! Apologize and I will forgive you off for the previous misdeeds you have done!"

Hey, now; it wasn't particularly as if Tuuli could fly, either. Rather, when not given the opportunity to climb a tree on her own, the kit was usually turned into an airborne missile when either her human owner, odd as she was, or Shreya, irritable as she was, threw the perma-kit in the general direction of a tree. So...
Okay, it was flying. In a way (Tsu generally proclaimed it was 'training for the circus', though).
"You are quite the bold one to turn your back on your enemy!" Tuuli declared, trying to find her balance on the branch (climbing was one thing, being thrown at trees was also one thing. Actually learning how to stay on a narrow branch was another), "Pardons shall not be granted towards those who...who..."
She paused, trying to remember where this train of thought was leading.
"Those who are fools!" she concluded.

Lace wouldn't mind being a kitsusagi cannonball really. Anything that was fun(and dangerous) would be on Lace's list of imagination sooner or later.
"We're not asking too much from you, you know!" Lace retorted angrily.
The squirrel turned back to the blue kit and chattered angrily, chucking a nut at Tuuli.

Well, Lace would have to come and visit Tuuli's home sometime, then; if the blue kit's owner wasn't around to play kitsu-toss, Shreya certainly could be bothered to punt both kits somewhere if they bothered her enough about it. Or, uh, if they bothered the Luck in general. Things were funny that way, in how life worked.
"We're being quite fair here, and- ow!" Tuuli was cut off mid-declaration as the squirrel threw a nut at her, "That does it! You have chosen to forsake your rights to a fair trial, and thus, proper punishment is in order!" she exclaimed.
"On the count of three, Lady Lace, we ambush the enemy!" the kit told the other, "One!"
"Two!"

Now, Lace would much gladly pay Tuuli's house a visit, for even with her overactive imagination, it was boring to be an only kitsusagi in her family. Even if it meant being a kitsu cannonball.
Lace's eyes narrowed in disgust. "And for hurting Princess Tuuli...that is the final straw!" She declared with a wave of her tails, getting ready to pounce the squirrel.
"Three!" She exclaimed, and pounced.

Perhaps if they managed to make it out of this 'battle' intact, they could head for the house, then; Tuuli was always more than willing to show off her 'secret base' to friends, even if, uh, it wasn't hers.
In either case, still none too pleased with the projectile the squirrel had thrown at her, the perma-kit readied herself, and, at the count of three, launched at the squirrel.
"Prepare to suffer!" she triumphantly declared.

The squirrel squeaked. It seemed like these two angry kits were serious in their assault. Quickly, it bounded out of the way and Lace crashed into the branch, looking dazed for a moment. Then she shook herself and glared at the "monster" who had now ascended to a higher branch, chattering angrily.
"Ah. So you are resourceful indeed. But not enough!" The kit tried to scrabble further up the tree.
