Hidaya'Ua had been hard at work for about a week now, focusing entirely on this very gift. She'd taken a bit of hide from the tail of a recent wildebeest kill and carving out wooden beads to string along it for her mother, only now something was missing. Something other than her now-dull claws, that was. She knew the necklace needed a pendant... only how to make one? She had a general idea in mind about how she wanted it to look- she even had a pendant started! Only, she needed really to find a way to carve it. All of her front claws were completely worn down from a week's worth of carving... The little lioness would've growled in irritation, if her vocal cords had developed yet. As for now, the best she could do is heave a sigh. The pendant is almost finished, too... she thought disappointedly. She pulled out the sharpest claw, though it was still pretty dull, and began to finish it.
It was a darker wood, that of a baobab tree. It was strong, and had made her claws duller still, but she was determined to finish it. A short time later, she nodded to herself with proud approval. She popped the blue stone into the tight socket she'd made for it and it was ready to be presented. Proud of herself, Ua pranced towards the den, necklace in mouth, ready to give to her mother.

Barazahi's life had changed drastically over the past few weeks... Shortly after arriving home, she had her litter, and it was an entirely different life. Things were still a little stressed between her and her mom, but Raza was sure Embamba loved the cubs. Who wouldn't? They all had inherited her own good looks, and each had their own little quirks. Their faults, though she didn't like to admit, must have come from Angu, as her own line was perfect.
Raza rose to her feet, the last to wake up on this day. She stretched, making herself as long as physically possible before stepping out of the den, gazing at the new landscape. She'd woken up to the same sight for a few weeks, it was sure odd not to see a different place every day. When her red eyes found her daughter, her only daughter, trotting eagerly across the lands, a broad smile crossed her face. "Good morning, Ua!" Raza called. "What have you got there?" she asked curiously, though she knew the cub wouldn't respond. She had no voice yet... But she had been blessed with her mother's good looks. She padded out to meet her daughter.
