Alright, this rp started last winter and I'd really like to get it finished if possible, please! I'm sure all of you are sick and tired of waiting, and for those of you wou would rather not continue that's fine. Those who are willing to continue are welcome and appreciated.
However, I'll have to ask that no one other than those who were a part of this rp previously will join this. This purpose of this thread is merely to finish this roleplay. Thank you! heart

((@Nio ~ Um...in a forest clearing, just outside of the centaur/cervitaur city of Haventree. You don't really have to worry about the city, though. There's snow, and they're all talking in the clearing.
If you read a few posts back, it'll really help. If you want me to summerize what's happened so far though, I'll try.))

Chane nodded at the description of the egg, it sounded similer to the egg Azure had, could it be? "You'll have to make sure to tell me what comes out of it. Cyn is, my father figure. He's the one who made my false leg. As for how long you'll be here? I'm not sure. I'm willing to check on your family if you are still unable to go home tomorrow, but right now I have my own family to worry about. Little Deer gets nervouse taking care of San all on his own... Since San is mute he dosn't make very much noise."
Chane checked on Fritzi's wound, the bleeding had finaly stoped. He started changeing the old blood soaked bandages with fresh ones. If he wouldn't be back untill morning it made sense to do it now. "I'll be back as soon as I can, likely sometime tomorrow morning. If you need anything please tell me now."He nodded slightly in acknowledgement. "I'll be sure to let you know. But I don't want to get anyone's hopes up. After all, if an egg like that was abandoned all alone in a meadow, it's very possible it isn't going to hatch at all without the warmth of its mother. So many abandoned children on this isle...and yet we make families of ourselves." He smiled. "A father figure...that's something...it really is amazing. Lonely souls seem to call out to each other I suppose."
At Chane's offer, Fritzi chuckled good-naturedly and raised a hand. "It's alright. They're probably scattered about the isle and I wouldn't want to trouble you more than I already have. I'm sure they'll be fine one night without me; I've been told often I worry too much. Of course, it's those I worry about who tell me so, but still...I've got to trust them."
"Oh I see. Well, be sure to tell Little Deer and San good night for me. And take care of yourself, as well as them." The cervi watched as then centaur teen changed his bandages. "Ah...feels better already." Fritzi clasped his friend's shoulder in gratitude. "Thanks again for all you've done. I'll be fine. You get going."

Chane didn't say much in response to Fritzi, the Cervi would most likely not understand his circumstance even if he had time to properly explain. "I'll be back as soon as I can, get some rest."

Looking up the cub blinked bewildered at the one who was next to her. She shivered agin eht nuzzled against her. "I don't know how I got here. Or where my family is. I...I...I'm lost."

"Lost?" Fritzi repeated, only mildly surprised. It seemed unfortunately common for orphan taur to wander around the Cein Isles on their own. After all, his 'herd' was made op mostly of pygmie taur and orphens.
Wrapping a gentle arm around the infant, the reindeer-taur picked Fue up and held her close, hoping she wouldn't be too afraid of him. He worried that if she lay in the snow too long, she'd freeze to death.
His own injured leg hurt terribly in the bitter winter cold, but the rest of him was ideal for the weather. His long fur kept him warm enough, and while the cattaur kit had fur of her own, she was far too small to recieve sufficient warmth from it.
"Don't worry, little one. You just keep warm, alright? I'm not sure I can help you find your family right now with my bad leg, but you'll be safe with me. I promise."
Hoping to cheer her up a bit, he gave her a warm smile and introduced himself. "My name is Fritzi. What's yours?"

She pushed away from him at first, startled by being scooped up. Soon she saw he ment her no harm and nuzzled closer to him, "Fuega." (Foo Ay Gah)) she wimpered holding tightly to Fritzi, affraid he would vanish like her famlily had. "But my mom called me "Fue."

"Ah. So you do have a mother," the cervitaur adult remarked. "That's good. Then again, she must be terribly worried about you, out here on your own in all this snow." Gently, he reached up to stroke her hair, speaking softly and slowly, his deep voice rich and mellow. "That's a lovely name...Fuega. Well I don't know about you, young Fue, but I've heard cattaur find winter rather unpleasant, concerning the wet and cold. Poor child...are you hungry?"
Glancing about him, he wondered what he might offer her for food. He hadn't thought to ask Chane for any, since he hadn't been that hungry himself. As he scanned the area, his gaze came to rest on the partially snow-covered berry bushes that grew in the clearing. "Ah ha...those look ripe." Carefully leaning foward, he reached for the neares bush and pulled off a few of the tiny, bright spheres. "Winter berries are delicious. Some of my favorite," he added cheerfully. "Would you like some?"

"Boann put this on" K'jani sniped as she fought too wrapped Boann in a thick black rabbit fur coat that covered all of her tiny body. Boann squirmed and thrashed wanting to be put down in the soft snow. "Snooooiwwy, I anna play'n the snew." she whined at her mother, as K'jani tied the coat in in place. "Now now Boann listen to your mother or I won't take you out in the snow to play." Alabaster said as she stepped out from behind a tree pulling her white winter coat around her to keep out the chill. "Mes be good I'll wear funny coat" she pulled at the coats hood. Alabaster slanted one delicate eyebrow up tilting her head at the child "Oh really now," she held her arms out for the child. K'jani handed her over and kissed Boann's head "now you behave for you auntie Al." Boann nodded furiously and snuggled against Alabaster's chest. nodding goodbye to K'jani Alabaster headed off into the snow covered forest.

Alabaster took Boann deep into the forest where she knew ripe Winter Berries grew. She knew the little Cervi loved them, and she happened to have a fondness for them as well. Even if they stained her fur and skin badly with their sweet redness. As they made their way Boann played absently with Alabaster's sliver feather on herd bag. "Purrdy" Boann mumbled, suddenly she was squealing with unleashed joy as she thrashed in Al's arms. "Wants down, wants down!"she said impatiently all but leaping from Al's hold.
Boann bounced into the snow and began bouncing along in the thick snow with some ease and quiet quickly at that for someone so small. Al was shocked, little Boann had the hardest time walking sometimes, but bouncing in the snow seemed like nothing to her. Boann must have seen a snow covered winter berry bush before she had for she once again let out a squeal of joy and started plowing her way to the bush her bright blue hair standing out harshly against the snow. That's when she saw that one of the snow covered winter berry bush already had occupants. when her gazed went to fall back on Boann it was like she disappeared "Boann?!" Panic set in she must have tripped in the snow she was halfway to where she last saw her when Boann stuck her head out of the snow and shook the snow from her hair.

There. Happy kid? If this idiot zebrataur scares you, you're just as big a fool he is. You REALLY want to be scared, come over by my tree sometime.))
The reindeer cervi looked up, startled, suddenly aware of the voices and hoofsteps in the snow. Long, attentative ears swerving, he held Fuega close, though he doubted whoever it was posed any real threat. After a few moments, Fritzi managed to make out a high-pitched, younger, excited voice, with a concerned, feminine voice calling a name after. The motherly distress in the elder voice made him smile. It seemed someone was having a little trouble with a young one.
Tiny, unexperienced, cloven hooves plowed through the snow, approaching the berry bushes slowly. A larger plop that followed told Fritzi that the infant's legs weren't yet steady enough to move easily through the thick snow. He laughed heartily.
"Good evening," he called with a merry tone. It seemed after living a life isolated for so long, the adult cervi was beginning to enjoy unexpected company. Though he still could not see the newcomers particularly well through the berry bushes, he wanted to be sure they were aware of his presence, so as not to be frightened. He actually blended quite well amid the snow and winter trees.
Unable to stand with his injured leg, Fritzi tried to peer over the bushes to see if the little one was hurt. "Everyone alright over there?" he chuckled.

A chuckling male voice had Alabaster's slim ears twisting to the sound coming just beyond the winter berry bush. It took a moment to register the question, she had been trying too see who the voice belonged too.
Scooping a now chilled Boann up in her arms she made her way slowly around the bush, "Every thing's fine,..." her voice paused as if unsure what too say as she ran her hands over the child's legs too check for damage "Thank you for your concern but I think everythings ok..." she pulled her white fur line hood back so she could see better as she clutched Boann as Boann snuggled close to her chest.
She had tried to coax a name out of the stranger as she rounded the bush. Alabaster was shocked as she rounded the corner, He must have been on of the tallest Cervitaur she had ever seen, but that's not saying much for Alabaster was short anyway.

"I'm glad," Fritzi acknowledged, glancing down at the his own charge, the cattaur cub, cradling her with his gentle, burly arms. "Beautiful weather we're having isn't it? Perhaps a little chilly, yes, but the young ones seem enchanted by all the snow."
Hearing the female adult make her way around the bushes, he was then certain as he herd her delicate hooves in the snow that she too was a cervi. "Oh..." As the pale, pearly Alabaster pulled back her white, fur hood, the reindeer taur tilted his head, as if having trouble distinguishing her from all the glistening snow. He had never imagined her to be quite so...well...breathtaking.
If his astonishment wasn't obvious enough, the cervitaur woman's own shock made him want to laugh some more. Having never come in contact with another adult taur, he had forgotten his own appearence was a little bizzare, even amoung other cervis. Aside from his reindeer body being a little stocky compared to the slender, elegant bodies of woodland deer, his fur was much thicker to keep him warm in the snow. Not to mention his bells around his forelegs, one of which was bandaged up.
"I-I'm sorry...please don't be alarmed," he spoke up promtly, hugging Fuega close. "My name is Fritzi. I don't get away from my forest retreat too often, so you may not have seen me around." I sure haven't seen you... he thought, dazed, as he watched the radient albino cervitaur. It was a while before his wide amber eyes found the courage to meet her bubble-gum pink ones.
Slowly, his gaze drifted down to the infant in her arms. Like her, she appeared to be a cervi, but the little one was much more darkly colored, with vividly bright markings that contrasted with their surroundings harshly.

Alabaster was shaking her head by the time he was done saying for her not too be alarmed. Shaking that off in embarrassment "I apologize Fritzi, My name is Alabaster Moonwalker, I'm not quiet from around here either. I just join a small group of a very close friend of mine." she shifted Boann in her arms tucking Boann's coat around her small frame. "This is Boann, she's K'jani's and Nema's First daughter."
As if on cue little Boann stuck her head out again and grind waving her arm "I'm a Zeh-bra!" Alabaster got this look on her face that said oh god not this again. She patted Boann's head. "Boann honey you know you're not a Zebra." Boann glared, well tried too glare at Alabaster but it failed "I knows." she stuck out a foot "Me feets be wrong." Alabaster shushed Boann by plucking off a winter berry and popping it in her mouth.
Speaking of feet Alabaster's gaze kept flicking back to Fritzi's leg her hands all but twitched to look at what happened, he seemed to have hurt it badly it must really be hurting him.

Realizing he was making her feel uncomfortable, Fritzi looked away; for some reason he felt his own temperature rise somewhat as he did so. Catching the timid smile the little one gave him, however, he beamed warmly back at her, wondering if she'd notice in her haste to hide herself yet again.
"Eh heh...it's just you seemed a little startled is all," the grown cervitaur offered sheepishly, laughing a little. "I tend to give that impression, only...I've never seen it on an adult before." He grinned, his eyes on the little bundle in her arms, finding it much easier to focus on Boann than on Alabaster herself. "Ms. Moonwalker? I see. A pleasure, Ms. Moonwalker, to have you and your little one there as my visitors this night. I imagine it was quite the chance meeting then, if you don't come around here often."
Assuming the infant belonged to the cervitaur lady, Fritzi wondered if perhaps the small group she spoke of was her family. Shortly after he came to this conclusion, however, it was rapidly rejected when Alabaster introduced Boann. "Hello, Boann. That's a very sweet name. I'm afraid I haven't heard of either of your parents though..." he looked up at Alabaster. "They are part of your group I suppose? Cervitaur?"
He hesitated in his excitement. "I'm sorry...I don't mean to pry. I've just been getting rather curious about what I've missed outside my home." He smiled bitterly. "If I could, I'd get up and shake your hand or show you some courtesy, Ms. Moonwalker, but you'll have to pardon me this time." Fritzi glanced down at his bandaged foreleg, partly hidden in the snow. "The reason for my rare excursion out of my familiar territory is due to this very injury. I was rather careless this morning while watching some of my charges, I fear." Noting her concern, he brightened, hoping not to worry her. "It's nothing really. A friend helped me with it. It'll heal in time."
Grinning at Boann's little outburst, the reindeer taur suddenly realized just who the infant reminded her of. He had trouble stifling his laughter at the look on Alabaster's face and had to place a hand over his own to hide his amusement. "A Zebra, you say? Funny...I happen to have a friend who's been called that..." he murmured thoughtfully under his breath. "You're very smart, Boann. I only recently learned that word from a child who came from outside the Cein Isles."
He was only further surprised when Boann claimed that her 'feets be wrong'. "Has this infant been listening to a pygmie?" Fritzi voiced, unable to resist. "Because the only other taur I knew of who spoke about Zebra was a pygmie. And I certainly have no clue as to whether such a creature would even have hooves or not."
Cervitaur?"

ROFL, did you really just say that?! rofl Uh oh...Fritzi's going to be mortified for life if he hears that... he's going to hide away in his little forest retreat and never show his face outside again until next Christmas.

"Never know what hit 'em..." Matteo chuckled, before going back to his business of sneaking about. He was a good schemer, but not so good when it came to carrying out his schemes.

"Alabaster, please or just plain Al if my name gets tiresome to the tongue." she shrugged trying too get her mine off his gorgeous amber eyes.
"But yes, our small group does travel with many Pygmies thought all come and go as they please." She smile at the memories of the group as they all sat around the fire at night. "Kib was the one who told them about Zebra's and quiet a number of other animals that sound so strange." yes the small cattaur pygmy had one big mind that boy really does need to stay away from the catnip, she sighed.
Feeling uncomfortable standing over him she stepped closer folded her legs beneath her and laid in the snow. She rather be a little cold then stand over someone while talking to them. It was a habit she picked up when she would sit too tell stories to the young ones. Nodding a yes "Both Boann's parents are both Cervitaurs that's the majority of our group." She looked at his leg again "May I ask how long you have had the injury?" her healer traits kept kicking into gear, god she wanted too kick herself.
Boann smiled "yeah Kibby told us's all abouts them" she nodded furiously before snuggling up to Alabaster again. "you'd ave to ask Kib" she mumbled from her spot against Alabaster's chest.
Something made Alabasters ear twitch and she turnd her head. she did so suddenly she didnt realise she looked away until she saw a unknown female Cervi. standing a little ways away. "hello." she said.

Litani moves closer to the others, and nods awith a smile at Alabaster, before looking at the male. "Are you Fritzi? Matteo asked me to find you if so, and pass some messages... I'm Litani..." She nods at the child as well, and pauses, diffidently.

"Oh? Very well, then...Ms. Alabaster." he added with a smile. "You travel? Ah...that would explain it. I'm pretty sure pygmies are much wiser than they'd like to let on most of the time, but then there are those who they feel worthy to share thier knowledge with. Right Boann?" Fritzi beamed at her fondly, gently rocking Fue in his arms. "Not that I've been so fortunate...maybe you could ask them for me?" he teased. "I don't think they'd care to enlighten someone so ignorant of the wide world we live in. But someone like you is still young enough to learn all their secrets."
"Mostly cervitaurs?" the reindeer cervi repeated. "That sounds like an interesting family." He chuckled. "Mine's mostly a collection of scattered, various young ones who came together on thier own. Though I'm more of a friend to them than a parent, I suppose." At Alabaster's inquiry on his leg, he shook his head dismissively. "It's nothing, honestly. I just stepped on a twig this afternoon and it pierced my leg. I don't think the wound's too deep, though." He let out a small sigh. "Heh...I only hope the little ones will make it through this night without me..."
Blinking, Fritzi's ears swerved the same time Moonwalker's did, and in the same direction. He glanced curiously toward yet a third newcomer, realizing he must have been too caught up in talking to have heard her approach earlier.
An exotically-marked cervitaur, also a female adult, appeared before them, her golden-blonde hair falling across her shoulders, her chestnut-brown eyes appearing somewhat uneasy. At the mention of his name, he raised a hand. "Ms. Litani! Please, come join us...I believe I'm the Fritzi whom you seek. I was just..."
His warm, plesant voice faded as Litani's words registered in his mind. Fritzi's amber eyes widened, his mouth opened, but for some time, he could get nothing to come out of it. Finally, he managed to compose himself, swallow, and speak; the worst of his thoughts converting his merry disposition into a steadily rising fear. "Matteo?" he managed, trying to think. If Matteo couldn't come deliever news himself, nor send one of the other things must have terribly gone wrong.
He forced himself not to worry too much; at least not until Litani had her say. "I'm sorry, Ms. Litani...what messages might have my friend have sent? You look like you've come a long way; why don't you come over here and sit with us? You look exausted."

Litani smiles and sits next to him, her eyes sparkling. He was a handsome fellow, but the messages first. "Its all right. Matteo is going after Iryl, she was playing with a mass of children and managed to slip her leash in the doing, but he'll have her back soon. Lyco has gone off to spend some alone time, he is now a teen and was upset about his looks and the growth. I think Matteo said something about Leila being off hunting with some one? But he wanted you to know so you wouldn't worry, and thought since I was a bit faster I could deliver the message while he rounded up the energetic Iryl"
She nods, and smiles again at Alabaster. "Hello, my apologies for seeming to ignore you. I wanted to deliver the messages before I forgot any of them. I'm Litani, and you?"

While Litani gave her message too Frizti, Alabaster had pulled her hood up too cover her head and most of her face again where you could only barely see her eyes. She gave a bright smile that felt real but empty too her and she didn't know why. She shifted her legs underneath herself so she put herself a smaller distance away from the two. Of course he's spoken for you fool why wouldn't he be. she gave and inner sigh compared to what Alabaster was Litani was breathtaking she kinda wanted to go hide in her cave, Boann gazed up at Alabaster like she knew what she was thinking and frowned at her.
"It's quiet alright, I myself have always been thankful too have a good memory, I'm Healer Moonwalker." her eyes flicked to Fritzi she realised she had given her full name too him that was something she didn't do often, names have power, well besides Leila but she was different. Alabaster told herself "It's a pleasure to meet you."

His worst fears confirmed, the cervitaur adult's expression displayed that emotion of utmost dispair. Despite the newcomer Litani's reassurance, Fritzi knew better than to judge a message from Matteo. The pygmie cattaur always tried to downplay the urgency of matters when Fritzi was involved. Matteo was one of those who felt Fritzi worried far too much. As a result, he tended to take far too much responsiblity upon himself. Being in the body of a cattaur child, however, it wasn't ever as easy as he made it sound, and more often than not, things eventually got out of hand. Though Matteo always had the best intentions in mind, there wasn't much he could manage on his own concerning their 'herd' without Fritzi's help.
As he tried to process the rapid intake of information, he put a hand to his head, sliding it down over his eyes, making him appear very distressed. Concern and doubt plauged his thoughts, and horrible images continued to flash in his mind. What he gathered was this: Iryl was lost yet again for the second time that day, even after he had left her in Niamh's care. Matteo was busy looking for her. Lycoris...had finally grown into an adolescent, which no doubt must have been drastic for him, considering his self-loathing issues connected to his stripes. So he too had run off to be alone. Leila was off hunting with someone. No doubt that white wolftaur he had seen her with that afternoon - that couple he had been spying on when he pierced his leg. And after all this...Matteo had expected him not to worry?! Even while the cattaur had sent Litani to deliver his messages?
To Fritzi, it was chaos. Total and utter chaos. Leila was a capable hunter, and no doubt so were wolftaurs, but at this time of night, hunting? His black cattaur teen often overestimated her abilities. It was easily possible with her reckless ways she had put both herself and the white wolftaur in danger. Lycoris when he was paniced was never a good thing. Without Wasibru, who was off somewhere by herself, he would not be easily calmed. What had happened to Niamh to have her let Iryl out of her sight? Was Libby the centaur pygmie still back waiting for him with the egg in the camp? Fritzi had told her that morning he would be right back and had never since returned. Matteo was on his own in the forest too. It was getting close to midnight and the woods were pitch black. Would Iryl be scared all by herself?
Consumed with worry, the reindeer taur's senses failed him and he attempted to stand. Almost immidiately, he crashed back down, his knees buckling under him; the intense pain in his foreleg shooting up through his body, making it almost unbearable. His bandages began to bleed anew with fresh crimson blood, staining the white, glittering snow. Grunting a bit and clenching his teeth, Fritzi winced at the agony his careless actions had caused. "Of all the nights to be injured!" he exclaimed through gritted teeth. "Why did I have to get myself hurt when my young ones need me the most?!"
"Ms. Litani...please..." Carefully, gingerly, he held Fuega, the cattaur infant, out to Litani. He couldn't bear for the little one to see his blood. Hoping to get her attention off him, he placed the winter berries he had picked previously for her in her tiny hands. "Try some," he told her quietly, closing her fingers around them with a gruding smile.
Then, trying to conceal his agony, he gently tried to settle his legs under him as before, though this proved difficult as nearly every movement affected his foreleg. When he finally managed a satisfactory position, he turned back to his visitors, his features weary and forlorn. It was then he noticed Alabaster's strange withdrawn behavior for the first time. She had suddenly reverted to formalities as soon as Litani arrived, and Fritzi, never having lived his life around any others older than carefree children before, hadn't a clue as to what her thoughts were. Worrying that he had somehow again made her uneasy, he met her glance with a concerned, questioning one before continuing. Whatever he had done to upset her, he would make it up to her later, but for now, he had a very big favor to ask.
"I'm terribly sorry for what I am about to ask of you ladies. I realize neither of you have met me before this night. Though we hardly know each other, however, I must ask you this one thing, and I promise I will ask for nothing more. For this, it will require you to trust me." Fritzi looked at them each intently for a moment. "As a friend."

Litani looked confused at the other female, then turned back to Fritzi in time to take the little cattaur. She smiled at Fuega, softly, and cuddled her, watching Fritzi. She finally says "I'll do what I can, but it depends on what you ask of me, Fritzi."
Nio Love
((Nehehe.. if you want to give a super quick summary I would love that, but I did read back a page or two in the RP, but other than the snow it didn't tell me where you were. Now I know! heart ))
Jessie hated the cold, but loved the snow. It was a sad irony that kept the taur from enjoying the winter, unless bundled up as much as Jessie was now. The sweater had long been covered by a bigger, longer, fluffier coat, which wiped out any sign of bodily curves. To keep the volumes of wavy hair out of the face on windy winter nights, it was all pulled back in a tight ponytail, which was then bunched up and hidden under a fetching little hat. A scarf wrapped around the bottom half of Jessie's face, keeping lips and nose protected from the bitter cold. All in all, the outfit was large, and bulky, but suited Jessie just right for the needs of a snow-loving centaur who couldn't stand the feel of cold against skin. However, it also served a second purpose, though somewhat unintentional; it hid Jessie's true gender, well and truly, and bulked the taur enough to be easily mistaken for a budding teen boy.
Being as Jessie was always a tempermental tomboy, this suited the coat-bundled taur just fine, and she felt no need to change her ways.
The best part of being so heavily protected from the snow was how long you could play in the snow without having to worry about getting too cold. However, even though her fur was thick enough to keep her exposed body warm, too long was always too long. She had begun to shiver under all those bundles of sweaters and cloth, and was heading back towards the city with a brisk stride. Her hooves clopped against the snow every time she landed from a jump with a few seconds space between them, but at the sound of voices her stopped leaping ahead and her clip-clops became much more frequent, slowing to a walk.
Entering the clearing, she found several others milled about. Was there some kind of commotion going on? Staying her distance, Jessie let her footfalls rest heavily and noisily to signal her approach.
