This 2% listing fee in the marketplace is supposed to cut inflation and make things easier to buy, right?
Not for older users!
The listing fee takes gold out of the economy. That means no one has that gold that disappeared, so no one can spend it on items. Prices will fall on items. Good thing, right? No.
It means everyone who shelled out massive amounts of gold for high priced items could have waited and bought them for cheaper. The people who are sitting on sealed envelopes to sell are getting ******** too since they won't be worth as much. Even if prices don't fall that fast, the worth of items won't increase as fast. People who have good Monthly Collectibles will have to wait that much longer before they're worth much.
They should leave prices the same. I don't want to see n00blets running around with awesome items. The items are a status symbol on Gaia, and the new marketplace listing fee is the first step in ******** older users over. After all our hard work before the listing fee, our worth will lower.
What really pisses me off is that even if the listing fee doesn't work, Gaia's working with their economy analyst to find anything and everything to ******** us over.

I agree with MQ!Im buyin some sigs and desktops for Morti and gaia just made it alot harder for me to get the gold!I couldve sold my celeb date and have been able to pay em by tomorrow!screw the market system its all goin to hell!

I don't use the markets much at the moment, so it doesn't bother me. Though Gaia having "Economists" and such is complicating the place for the kids! xd

To be honest, I think gaia should stop focusing on the new members and start making everything equal for everyone.
Back in 2003, don't tell me they had free items like the new guys does now. And they probably never received tons of easy golds with the 1st time bonus, the daily chance, the starting budjet, the quests, and the list goes on.
I am worth 223,276 Gold and I worked hard for every single gold in the past 11 months. And to see that a new guy can come and worth more than I do just by doing almost nothing...no way!
