Zha'Shar Eldiaryn

Name:
Age: 188 (equivalent of later 20's, early 30's)
Race: Iridethian Albino Drow (Half-Sidhe)
Eye color: Maroon red
Skin color: Bleached bone white
Body build: As is average for anyone of sidhe descent, Zha'shar has a lean, graceful build. She is slightly taller than the average drow, but retains the graceful airs of her ancestors.
Hair color/length/style: Zha'shar's hair is as white as her skin often times giving her the appearance of a ghost. It is left long, though its shoulder blade length is deceptive as much of the length is hidden among the wild styling of twists, braids, wisps, and small spikes that make up her hair. Zha'shar's hairstyle varies from day to day but always has some new, inventive twist to it.
Tattoos/Markings: Zha'shar has had her entire body tattooed in shifting black psionic ink which responds to her will and thoughts. The manner of the tattoos is such that at a glance it's hard to tell whether her skin is white with black markings or black with white markings. Like much about her appearance, the tattoo patterns can vary widely from day to day, but the most common is an extensive tribal-like design.
Carried items: Zha'shar sometimes carries a staff or cane and always seems to have several pouches hooked on her belt.
Clothing: Zha'shar favors loose robe- or dress-like garments with vary styles of necklines and lengths of sleeves. They are generally of a more exotic design that fit her form closely along the torso before flaring out over the hips and generally are split up either one or both legs
Armor: None
Weapons: Simple weapons, generally a dagger is carried at her belt and possibly a staff or staff-like weapon.
Jewelry: Zha'shar favors jewelry with web-like designs and uneven but aesthetic patterns. She often wears necklaces, rings, earrings, and bracelets decked with crystalline objects which add to the faint, delicate chime that always seems to surround her like that of a glass chandelier clinking together. The most important object she wears is her Sril've Cress ring, the silver band with its uneve web pattern resting upon her right ring finger.
Character Personality: Of Zha'shar's true personality little is known. As one of the very scarce few who worship the Queen of Spiders who are part of the city and the only known one who is considered to be of Sril've Cress, Zha'shar has learned to tread lightly and remain as obscure as possible. She doesn't hide her faith in Liloth, but neither does she display it as boldly and arrogantly as most would expect from a Llothite. Instead she is careful to blend in with the society around her, plying her trade in relative peace. There are, of course, rumours that the friendly and somewhat submissive face she shows in public is just that, a facade, but thus far no solid proof can be brought forward. For now Zha'shar remains exactly what she wishes to be. An enigma.

Close Refs:

Good basic overall ref except that the tattoos are generally more extensive, her skin is white, her eyes are red, and her ears are pointed

For a good idea of the type of extensive facial tattooing and exotic hairstyles Zha'shar wears. Character is "Viper" from the movie Doomsday

Background:To Zha'shar the underdark of Irideth is nothing new. It is, in fact, where she was born and raised. She was born an albino and one of the younger daughters of House Eldiaryn (Ehl'-dyah-rihn), a merchant house from the city of Chaaya. House Eldiaryn believed fully in Liloth's divinity and power and followed the Black Widow, but they especially taught of the chaotic nature of their goddess and so venerated her in different ways than many of the traditions followed by most houses. Thus it was no surprise when Zha'shar manifested psionic abilities near reaching adulthood and chose the path of the wilder. What was a surprise to her family was how she chose to direct those abilities, turning her mind-fueled power towards crafting objects of all shape and size, limited only by her own imagination. Her talent to craft so was a huge boon for her house and they kept her as their well guarded secret for many years.
Eventually news of the Sril've Cress's arrival and takeover of the old Or'lathi sizable compound reached her ears. Where most in the city of Chaaya saw this as a bad omen and wished nothing to do with the outsider drow, Zha'shar saw an coming change and a different path to which the goddess was leading her. She made a decision, taking a bare few from her house with her, not knowing whether she would live to see the fruit of her decision or die trying. In the end, though, she walked out of the city unharried by her house. She knew that she would never again be welcome in her house by the current matron mother but her actions and reasons had garnered her an odd blend of anger and yet approval that only one of her house could begin to fathom, and so she was allowed to leave.
She made the trek through the Underdark and presented herself to the fledgling house, offering her services and those she had brought with her. In exchange she requested one thing, the freedom to believe how she wished. She was one of if not the first Iridethian drow to join with the house. It was some time before a measure of trust was established, but eventually it was and Zha'shar was commissioned to create the house rings under the eye and aid of Sev'anar. As the house grew, Zha'shar remained in the shadows and out of sight of the other drow. In her progress along the wilder's path she had gone through intense ritual tattooing to where her ivory white albino skin would not be so noticable, but she knew that most if not all in the house would not understand her faith and so rather than be a possible source of conflict, she contented herself to stay enshrouded in her work.
Then came the Or'lathi invasion. It had been unexpected. It had been uncontrollable. It had been chaos.
Zha'shar reveled in it, coming out from her hiding to fight by her house, though she did her best to assist while remaining out of notice. The damage was done, though, and she knew her time of waiting and remaining out of sight was coming to an end. It was confirmed when Sev'anar asked her to become one of the Inquisitors and aid in testing new members of the fold. She accepted. Her time of being unknown was over.
