Myriad Of Trinkets
Welcome to the world of Gaia. This world in which we all co-exist. A world where many dreams come true and where even more are shut down, destroyed and torn apart. A world that serves as a home to all sorts of fantastic and amazing creatures of the land, sky and seas. This world of fantasy holds many amazing and unique traits. Its a world of Magic and questions that need be answered and answers that should be questioned. A world of man and demon. A world of pure fantasy. Gaia is one that makes up the pages of a novel where a young knight would rescue the beautiful damsel in distress but, to have a damsel in distress you must have a villain to hold her captive. Unfortunately, this world of fantasy and magic is far from perfect. The world is in constant strife over tens of thousands of items known far and wide as Trinkets, charms of great magical power that can take many forms. Some look like swords, some mere pieces of jewelry and some even articles of clothing. Welcome to the world of Gaia. What story will be written in your book?

Lunar Schedule


Having a variety of different classes including the famed were-wolf and growing, as well as half-demons. I've devised an accurate lunar schedule that is effective and fair for the rpers.

A detailed Schedule will be shown in the 'Calendar' portion of this page.

After-life


Lets face it, no one likes to give up their character to death. As such, I've devised a second forum in which will soon be released for the public that will act as an after-life for your character and fear not, you may even get to come back to gaia as you complete tasks in the after-life.

In the world their is one focal point of confrontation. Trinkets. They are strange items found throughout the world that give people magical abilities and amazing power. Some look like jewelery others clothing and still their are some that look like weapons and other that have an exotic shape unique to themselves.

Earning Your Worth!


Wow, this actually took a while to plan out for a simple as it is. Alrighty. It's really quite simple minded but, its effective and simple isn't necessarily a bad thing. To attain experience to level up you have to fight things and win, to win you have to pick your fights wisely. To figure that experience out, all you need to do is take the opponents level and times it by 100 so, killing a level 1 would ascertain you 100 experience and so on. To figure out how much experience you need you must times your a level by 1000, a level 1 in this case needs 1000 points to level up making it ten battles with a level 1 to level up.

Becoming the best!


Every-time you level up you earn stats relative to your character. In addition you get six additional points to scatter among the six attributes effectively to increase or inhibit your character depending on the variety of the character and the stat. These six additional points are known as distribution points and are put into any one of the stats; Strength, Endurance, Intelligence, Dexterity, Constitution, Speed. Depending on the way you see best fit.

Spoils of Victory!


Yes, when you kill something you will indeed be able to get an item(s) to use/sell or even gold. As it stands this will only work with player characters until we can get proper funding for item selling later down the road but, as it works now is when someone challenges your character and defeats you (this being a non-sparring match) you lose 10% of your gold to them if they decide to spare you. Conversely they just made a decent amount of gold that they can choose to use in the rp or for their avatar. Becoming strong means you can make more money and more money is always something us gaians need. However, I will not excuse farming. If I see that farming is going on I will immediately stop and cease any and all obligations that the fight would've held. If however they decide to kill you not only do they receive 10% of your gold but, since you've died they can take your items away from your dead body and use them as your own.

Physical Description: this is your bodies build of course, also is any key body traits that identify you. Tattoos, scars, ect. go here
Clothing:I hope your wearing something, as the seasons change it might get drafty



Stats

First of all, many stats are Dependant on your race, if you have a race not yet included, pm me and I will whip up a couple of stats and add them to the list ^^
Level: This is your level and totals up the sum of your power, we do not have finite levels so enjoy getting as strong as possible
Element: Fire, Water, Earth, Wind, Light or Dark this is often dependant on your race as well, this determines what kind of attacks your weak against and what kind you can absorb. After all, a fire attributed demon would simply bathe in a fire attack and become even more stronger but when hit with water, what a pain that would be.
Health: Your life force, when this empties to zero, you pass onto the afterlife and become a ghost.
Strength: This stat, along with your base attack decides how strong your hits are.
Endurance: This stat, along with your base attack decides how much damage you take from melee and ranged attacks.
Intelligence: This stat, along with your base attack decides how strong your magic attacks are as well as how well you can take a hit from magic.
Dexterity:This stat, along with your base attack decides how strong your ranged attack are.
Constitution: This stat, along with your level will increase your health. Take your constitution x your level and that equals your health.
Speed:This is a fun stat, it will be more explained later during the next post but, it affects how fast your movements are and when coupled with your base attack it decides how fast you attack.

Base Attack: This is always equal to your level. It serves no other purpose other than giving your attack ranges. This is also the minimum damage one can do with an average attack.
Attack Melee: Base Attack + Strength = Max Hit
Attack Ranged: Base Attack + Dexterity = Max Hit
Attack Magic: Base Attack + Intelligence = Max Hit
Attack Speed: Base Attack + Speed = Attack Speed
Defense: Base Attack + Endurance = Defense
Magic Defense: Base Attack + Intelligence = Magic Defense

Abilities: As one would expect these are the abilities that a class can use for example, only demons and a few other characters can wield dark weapons. Thats an ability unique to them. However, abilities are not limited to unique traits... infact, some of the abilities mentioned like Sense Aura, can be attained through training and hard work. Other abilities include unique traits that the character developed on their own such as my character ability to manipulate foliage. So, you are not limited to just the one I have set for you but, your character must have those ones unless another reason is given otherwise.

Speed's Amazing Secrets!

As I said, I would explain the speed attribute in depth and here I am to do so. Well, speed is a very interesting stat, it decides how fast you are compared to your opponent and if you can even keep up with them. Chart Time!
Opponents Speed > Your Own Speed = Well, fear not. In this case its not usually too severe, if you want to attack them, you'll need a bit of thought put into it or wait for the right moment.
Opponents Speed x2 > Your Own Speed = Its getting a bit harder to dodge and read your opponents moves. As a bonus they can now grapple your character once a post without your consent.
Opponents Speed x4 or greater > Your Own Speed = Its a rare case but, the fact is it happens. When this is such the case their is only one way to win, through clever trickery but it will be hard to do with a swift attack coming at you always. It will be most tough to succeed in this situation. After all, its hard to fight what you cant see.
Opponents Attack Speed x2 > Your Own Attack Speed = Well, the opponents damage is now amplified by 1.5 and they can auto hit you once if they are in range with melee
Opponents Attack Speed x4 > Your Own Attack Speed = Like before this is pretty rare but it does happen as well. The opponents damages are amplified by 1.5 like before but, now they can land two hits in on you which can be very fatal.
Endure Your Hardships!

Endurance is another stat that should be explained in more depth or rather the defenses should. Well here they are.
Attack > Defense = Well, this is a simple fix, in this case you simply take the defense from the attack and the difference is how much health his lost by the defender.
Defense > Attack = Well, no matter what the opponent has to lose some health, we all have limits, a meager 1 health is lost in this case
Super Effective Attack > Defense = Once the difference is found in the stats of attack and defense, times that by 2 giving the super effective shot some glory.
Super Effective Attack < Defense = Well, it packs a punch but with a high defensive theirs little that can be done. These attacks do 5 damage.
Attack = Defense = Same as defense > attack
Super Effective Attack = Defense = Same as Super Effective Attack < Defense

Fighting The Good Fight


Well, now for an accurate way to use the stat system. I've given abilities and explanations on most things but now I feel its time to learn how to calculate a proper attack. This will include a walk through of how to attack with the abilities and such as well.
Alright, here goes.

Alright, the above is a fire demon versus a raptor
The match is going to be very hard for the raptor to win, in fact, it's probably near impossible, if not just that.
The fire demon obviously has the upper hand in this situation; well, you firs need to see what he's going to hit, he's going to attack with a simple melee attack which does 50-66 damage. To figure it out before your post you will spam your profile topic for a random number, you will, to get the damage you would take, in this case, 50 as the minimum and 66 as the maximum for a random number roll, the number that the random number shows you is the damage that you would hit if the opponent had no defense, you have to subtract the defense from the attack so; back to the fight. We'll say that the demon hits a 55, well, the opponent only has 30 defense
55 - 30 = 20
So, if it were an average attack, the raptor would lose 20 health from the attack. However thanks to the element placement for this match, the demon has an elemental advantage to the raptor so, the end equation would be;
55 - 30 = 20 x 2 = 40
40 health would be subtracted from the raptor. Now, lets look at the next attack from the raptors perspective
alright, the raptor just lost a chunk of its health so, its going to retaliate. Now, because of how low its stats are its not gonna stand much of a chance to hit the opponent but, for this sake, we'll let it;
Now, the demons defense is higher then the raptors attack no matter what it does so, he'll only hit 5 unfortunately the element also comes into play so, the raptor will only be hitting 2 since damage was halved.
Lets skip ahead and see how abilities will play a factor in this battle;
Alright, things aren't looking too good for the raptor, his health is at 30% and the demon hasn't even come into his demon form which, its already explained. Now, since the raptor is at 30% health it can use its ability, Pack Hunter. Now Pack Hunter is an ability that allows the raptor to summon three other raptors per post up to twenty. When these raptors are dead it can summon no more but, the act of summoning these raptors makes it that much more difficult to the demon. But still the demon should be able to win..

Embrace The Elements!

Alright, in the world of Gaia there are seven elements which this world was founded on. They are known as Fire, Water, Earth, Electricity, Wind, Light and Dark. Each of which out ways its respective counter-part. Looks like another Chart might be in order ^_^
Fire > Wind
Wind > Earth
Earth > Electricity
Electricity > Water
Water > Fire
Now, the last two are much different from the previous five as they dont have in effectiveness towards each other
Light > Dark
Dark > Light
When ever a dark weapon or attack hits a person of light element, they receive double damage. The same with a light weapon or attack hitting a dark type. Not only that but anything that is hit by its respective super effective element will get double damage against it. Conversely something getting hit by an element their strong against will only have to put up with half the damage.
Now, a character for example my fox demon. He has a fire element. His normal damage will be fire based, even if he just uses his fists. Because of this he will do only fire based attacks unless he uses magic or a weapon of a different elemental type.
Now, because the world is constantly growing and constantly shaping itself, one would imagine that the original pieces of these elements are left over. Well, somewhere in the world there are remnants of elements. Often times these elements can be found and although they are virtually useless when found raw, certain magics can allow a person to force the magic into a weapon or armor of choice giving it not only a new look but the elemental damage of said fragment. Oh by the way, these pieces of basic elements are called Element Fragments.
Demons In Their Element

Something that can be very troublesome is the ability that all but Elf's, Vampires, Werewolves and Humans have. It is a special ability that allows a being to absorb an element to change into health. Well, let me explain better.
Alright, so, my demon has a fire affinity correct. Because of that, whenever he would be attacked by a fire base attack that is lower then his respective defense stat, he will heal 10% of his total health. However, if he were to find a fire he would be able to recover 10% health each post he's in the flames.
Unfortunately, he is not a fire god though. If he were to touch magma his flesh would boil. Consequently if the fiery attack is more powerful then his respective defensive stat, he would get normal damage.

As it stands our bestiary is separated by four different categories of fauna, soon to be five when I update it again. Those five will be

Beasts- These are non magical creatures, everyday creatures like deer and average animals are listed here.

Fiends- These creatures have a sinister look about them and some are even spouted from human hatred. Usually aggressive when met there is but one that is pacifistic. They often exhibit grotesque mannerisms.

Demons- Not much difference is posed by these creatures from fiends. They seem to be stronger but retain aggressiveness and some species retain the disgusting habits. Stronger ones resemble humans.

Flora- These creatures belong to a more plant-like family, they often ensnare their foe and depending on the species they either suck the blood dry from the living body, or slowly digest the living creature with acidic juices

Dungeon Creatures- These Creatures are of many legends and are usually S class dangers. It would be ill-advised to take them on by yourself.

Two Sides of A Coin

In my rp their are two different things, they are; Abilities and Special Abilities These capabilities are inadvertent affects that can sway the battle towards or away from you.

Abilities

Abilities are any massively known skill that can be attained through hard-work and dedication. Some although need certain requirements to be met and some even unlock more abilities. Here are a few abilities of the guild.

Free Element Control: This ones fun, for all you full-demons out there, you have the ability to control and produce your specific element.

Fire-Control Of Fire
Water-Control Of Water
Earth-Control Of Earth
Electric-Control Of Electric
Wind-Control Of Wind
Light-Brighten and Dull Light(void in the dark)
Dark-Bind the enemy in place by connecting your shadow with theirs (void in the dark/extreme light)

Dark Weapons:
Dark weapons are odd. Unless you have the proper training or lifestyle, they will sap your health quicker then a licket. And if you don't know what a licket is, don't worry, I made the word up but, its fast, 20% of your total will be lowered each post wielding a dark weapon unless you have the ability to wield them. So, having this ability will come quite in handy

Self-Sacrifice: Allows someone to transfer all of there health into a dead vessel to bring them to life, the person preforming it dies consequentially.

and my favorite..

Nergal Eye Ritual: This allows a nergal to offer either left or right eye. The left eye is a mating ritual and the left the passing of powers. When the left eye is passed onto any living creature, that creature becomes a nergal and in a single instance, they relive everything that the initial nergal had ever been through. All the pain, pleasure, everything. They also earn the stats that the nergal had before hand. This kills the original nergal.

S. Abilities


Also reffered to as Special Abilities, S. Abilities are unique to the character in question and must first be cleared by myself. Some S. Abilities however can be massively learned and once they become popular enough they switch over to the Abilities list. Here are some S. Abilities from our current members;

Kyrin's Unique Talents

Kyrin
Human Change: This is due to the nature of her species; because lunar demons are weakened during the day and because she is half demon, Kyrin is forced into her human form during the day regardless of a new moon and then reverts back into her half-demon self at night. During the day though when the moon is occasionally out she will remain a half demon but, its a rare occurrence.
Illusion Formation: This is a trait that allows Kyrin to create various illusions to confuse and mystify her foes, it is a likely trait of the lunar demon but is thus far unknown if its a demon trait or merely a skill she developed on her own.

Kaji's Unique Talents

Kaji
Seed Growth: This is a talent that Kaji most likely developed in Dobak Forest during his many years of living there. Using it Kaji can grow any flower he likes in his hand rapidly depending on the seed he uses. From these flowers Kaji can manipulate it into a weapon with the same vulnerabilities of a plant however, these weapons tend to be much thicker and powerful then a normal plant. Kaji's most noted weapon is a whip comprised from a thorny flower, usually a rose or a bramble bush branch. Having the time to fiddle with them he has also developed various plants that do not need to be changed but act as weapons themselves.
Gale Of Thorns: Utilizing Seed Growth; Kaji will create a whip of thorns and bramble. He calls this technique Gale Of Thorns and it is his most famous use of Seed Growth. Kaji first used this technique to combat Raptors in an attempt to save Arella.
Flame Bursting Tornado: Using Kyrin's fan which he combines with his flame abilities as well as his ability to use plants as weapons; Kaji will initiate Gale Of Thorns. After the whip is created he'll spiral it around his own body and set it a fire, following the wind capabilities of Kyrin's Fan he'll use the wind to spin himself at a very high-speed and propel himself towards his foe like a bullet of fire and thorns. Was first created and used on a spontaneous impulse to reap revenge on bandits whom kidnapped Kyrin.
Flare Burst: Using Kyrin's Fan in conjunction with his fire control he can change send sparks through the air to pockets of air he created with the fan creating small but effective explosions. It was another of his spontaneous creations when he was taking revenge on the bandits.
Hell Fire(demon form only): Considered Kaji's strongest attack, he can initiate it only when in his original form. It is a one shot desperation attack and was first used when Kaji was faced with many Raptors as well as Underbytes. Although it managed to take out the raptors the rest were left to be taken down and Kaji finds himself in no position to fight back after using this ability.
Fox Fire Curse(demon form only): In Kaji's demon form he has three flames that circle his neck as if they were a necklace. Although Kaji cannot remove them he can get rid of them by reverting into his humanoid form making him a little harder to kill in sacrifice of a third of his power. However when Kaji is in his demon form and these flames circle his neck they burn according to his will to survive and his health, the hotter they burn the more he wants to live and the brighter they burn the more health he has. Conversely when they dim and start to smother it means he's becoming weak; if the flames were extinguished then Kaji would inevitably die which is why he seldom takes his demon form anymore. The only woman who can take the curse off died in the Ecchet Massacre so, he is doomed to have the bind on him forever.


We have more members but, their lazy at the moment and besides, this would get to long
