Khilan trudged along in the opposite direction, ultimately on a path towards the Soquili that was now so bored with her immediate circumstance. His own mind was thinking to where his brother may have been at this time. He often took to wandering off and his own and it could be days before he eve returned, but now that Cerek was older and very prone to talking to the ladies, he expected Cerek to return with a mass of foals any day now. He groaned silently to himself, pleading for Cerek's sake that he had not tested their mother's sanity so far.
As he glanced up, detached from his thoughts, he happened to see the brown and blue toned mare walking in his direction, smiling immediately at the prospect of a little company. He could do with having his thoughts taken away from what he was inevitably entertaining there now. "Hello there," came his happy, but calm greeting to the one in front of him. |
