Guitar hero got moved to production by Neversoft, Activison's studio
Harmonix feels like they should beat them at their own game (literally)
they make rock band
which is GHII Co-op mode + Karaoke Revolution
some people think this will ruin buisness for GHIII
what about you?

one of my friends says he's not interested in rock band. I think he's artarded. I'm getting both, but rock band looks FAR better than GH3.

I'm pretty sure they will both have really good sales. It will be very close if someone sells more. The both are awesome games, most people are buying both.

Without a doubt Im getting both games. But when it comes to the games themselves, Rock Band is gonna do better but not eliminate GH3. Song lists are gonna be different and some people do feel that RockBand is stealing the huge amount of popularity that Guitar Hero brought in this field of game play, so theres always a chance that people may stay with Guitar Hero cause of the great amount of originality

I'm not gonna buy both. hell, I might not buy either! but now I'm torn between them
the confirmed track list for both have 2 band that I dearly want to be in both
Raining Blood- Slayer GHIII
Enter Sandman- Metallica
that's really pissy... although I wish that they didn't choose Sandman. it's out played and there are better tracks then that. one example is Seek and Destroy. and most people like that song right?

I'm getting both. But Rock Band thrashing GH3? HELL NO! GH3 may not have as many songs, and only two players at most, but it's got originality, like stated above. Sure, Rock Band has loads of awesome songs. But Guitar Hero started something that Rock Band is riding along on.

Both games will be amazing! GH3 is focused in on making the co-op mode more interesting with the new battlemode. Rock Band will open up to more players. Some people may just get the game and the drum kit, or maybe just the mic. If you were planning on just using the guitar controllers then GH3 would be the better one to go with. Since its completely focused on using them. But if your looking to do more than just guitar you would want Rock Band. It will be interesting to see what actually happens.
