 Whisper stumbled and tripped, bouncing down the small hill. He yelped softly and blinked, looking up at the sky upside down, through deep green eyes. This whole walking thing, kinda sucked. His feet flopped lazily in the air, he really didnt want to move, but he figured he'd have to. Sooner or later, he'd have to pee.

 He had just been wandering around the Kitsusagi territories in the last few hours, frowning to himself. While he was getting used to being a Kitsusagi now, there were still a lot of things here that he was discontent with.
He had been spending the last few hours looking for supplies to start building his house, and so far turned up nothing. Then again, there wasn't much of anything here. He missed the comforts he had when he was a human, he had to admit that now. The lack of readily available food, running water, and electricity were all things he missed.
It was nice to be in the raw of nature, however.
Phoenix sighed and shook his head, continuing on his way. There had to be something around here. Just then, he heard a yelp. He quickly moved off to investigate. At the bottom of a nearby hill, he saw a relatively young Kitsusagi, flopped out on its back, paws in the air.
"Are you OK there?" He called out to the teenage Kitsusagi, frowning slightly with concern. He shook himself off for a moment, and then moved down the hill to stand nearby the younger Kitsu.
"Er, do you need help getting back upright?"

Whisper groaned, tails twitching. As the adult approach the little guy yelped again, and flailed himself into a somewhat upright position, green eyes wide at the winged adult. "Eeerr" he paused. Am i alright? he thought, then shook his head clearing the annoying things in his mind. He grinned brightly, and nooded his head enthusiastically, small pink tongue lolling out of his mouth. "I'm....okies" he nodded and smiled again.
After a few minutes, he couldnt take it any longer, he jumped up and shook himself off. He stared wide eyed at Phoenix. "....clothes" was all he said, looking at the adults blue suit.

Phoenix chuckled softly as the younger Kitsusagi moved himself upright again, seeming relieved that the youth wasn't hurt or injured. Not that he would know how to handle an injured Kitsuagi if he was.
"That's good," He said kindly, giving the other Kitsusagi a lopsided friendly grin. "You should be careful next time, huh? Don't go falling down like that again if you can help it. If you fall from a height, you could seriously hurt yourself."
"Clothes?" Phoenix blinked, then turned his icy blue eyes down to his suit coat, brushing a few creases out of it for a moment. "Oh, you mean this? Ah... yeah. It's called a suit. I wear it because I'm a Defense Attorney." He tapped the gold indented badge on the left lapel of of his suit. "See? I'm a lawyer."
He was grinning now, tails slightly wagging, seeming quite proud of the fact.

Whisper wrinkled his nose "Sounds stuffy" he said bobbing his head like a bobblehead. "my dads half vampire half fire starter" another series of nods. He ran over to Phoenix and began lifting up various articles of clothing "Why'dyou wear all these layers, are you hiding something? No skin?!" he seemed excited at that idea and peered up a pant leg

"Huh. What? Vampire...?" Phoenix blinked, looking rather surprised at that, and worried at the same time. Vampires were only the stuff of fiction back when he was a human, but all kinds of weird things happened here in the Kitsusagi lands. He still wasn't sure if he believed it or not though...
"H-hey!!" Phoenix loudly yelped, going quite stiff and tense as the younger Kitsu began to touch his clothing, feeling very much like his personal space was being invaded. "W-what are you trying to do, pickpocket me?! You have no regard for personal boundaries, do you?" The fur on his tails bristled. "No no no, lawyer, not layer! I have skin and fur and everything else I should under the suit!"
"But, er, a lawyer. You know, like um, a legal guy? Um... ah dear..." He loudly sighed, flustered. He reached out for the younger Kitsu, trying to hold him at an arm's length at the very least. He really didn't like being touched and felt up like that at all.
"You... don't know what a lawyer is, do you?" Phoenix felt a headache coming on. This was going to be a long afternoon.

A nose wrinkle as he tried to peek into a pocked "Should i know?" he paused in his personal bubble intruding and blinked up at Phoenix, green eyes innocent.
And in the next instant, all was gone. "DO YOU HAVE POWERS!?" he suddenly shouted, looking rather excited "My grandma, can start fire with the snap of her hands, she has hands you know, just like a....a..." he wrinkled his nose as he thought "Human...i think they're called. My grandpa has hands too. He walks on two legs and everything, one day he's doing to show me how, altho he says we're built differently so i cant walk that long. he says he's built more like a human then me and you are" a faint instantanious frown, before more rambling insued "I think it would be interesting to walk upright like a human, but then again, four legs is fun too" he nodded and lifted the end of one of Phoenix's tails, batting at the tip of it.

"Hey, get out of my pockets!" Phoenix yelped. The only items he kept his pockets these days was a little bottle of hair gel and a comb, but nevertheless he seemed quite intent to protect them. "And I don't know. Most folks usually know what a lawyer is..."
He stumbled back slightly as the younger Kitsusagi suddenly shouted at him, startled at the sudden noise. "Powers? Me? N-not really... " He listened carefully to the youth's words, making a mental note to himself that this youth seemed to enjoy talking.
"Uh, it's not really interesting to walk like that... er, on two legs that is." He began. "I used to be a human and I just walked like that anyway. I just didn't really think about it at the time - I just kinda took it for granted. I always walked on two legs for as long as I can remember, at least when I was still a human anyway. As a matter of fact, I don't really remember too much before that..." He shrugged. "I was too young."
He raised an eyebrow at the young kitsusagi as he watched him play with his tails. As long as they weren't pulled, he could easily tolerate it. Besides, the kid was probably just curious - no harm in that.
Phoenix grinned at him, then raised the middle tail, attempting to lay it directly over Whisper's snout and eyes. "So ah, are you lost? Did you get seperated from your folks or something?"

Whisper tilted his head as Phoenix talked, and then let out a little "Huh" when the adult was finished. He wrinkled his nose as the older male lied a tail across his nose and eyes. After a few seconds, he sneezed, knocking himself onto his back again. He flailed his little legs but then grabbed one of Phoenix's tails and began playing with it, knocking the tip up and waiting for it to fall back down, much like a kitten would do with a ball, only it was Whisper...with Phoenix's tail....
He shook his head, peering past the tails that amused him, to Phoenix "Nuh-uh. I live with my grandpa and great grandpa, my folks live with another human thingy. My relative zapped me and i ended up here, my guardian is probly worried sick, but she'll eventually find me, she always does..." he said as his attention was drawn back to his game of tail tip batting. "You seem kindof out of place here, are you lost?" With Whisper, sometimes the questions never ceased.

Phoenix had to chuckle at the younger Kitsusagi's antics. His grin faded as as the younger Kitsusagi sneezed, but his worry didn't last very long at all. The younger guy seemed fine again. A gentle laugh escaped him as he watched the other, and stood relatively still as his tails were batted at.
"Wow, you have a great grandpa?" He seemed genuinely impressed. "That's pretty cool. I didn't even have grandparents for long, they died when I was a kid." He frowned, at first going to quickly add to the statement so as not to alarm the youth, but then when the younger Kitsusagi mentioned that his guardian was probably worried sick.
"I, ah..." He blinked at the question he had been asked for a moment, scratching the side of his head. "I guess I am probably out of place here. I don't feel like I have fit in very much in some instances. But no, I'm not actually lost." He grinned again. "I'm beginning to learn my way around pretty well."
"Do you want to return to your guardian, then? If they're worried about you, that's no good..." He folded the large firey wings up neatly on his back, wincing slightly at the pain that he felt in the left one. He had recently injured it while flying, and it was still recovering. Not good to keep moving it...
"I can, er, take you back." He said finally. "If you want."

Whisper blinked at Phoenix "No, she'll find us, its her job" he simply stated, when asked if he wanted to be returned to his guardian. Cera had ways of always knowing where he was. He didnt mind too much. Another head bobble "My great grandpa is a powefull wizard and potions master, my grandpa takes after my great grandma, he's more a vampire than anything" he batted at the tails again, before growing bored of them, and hopping up.
He studied Phoenix for a few minutes before shrugging at something only he knew "Do you have a mate?" he asked quiet randomly, bouncing on the tips of his paws. He brimmed with teen energy and was still unsure how to expell it.

"Wizards and vampires, huh?" Phoenix had a hard time getting his head around that one. Back where he came from, things like that didn't exist at all. Los Angeles seemed quite plain now, compared to this place. There were still many more things about this strange new land that he had to get used to, it seemed.
"As long as they don't, er... zap or bite me, I'm alright with that. And as long as they're good natured, too. I don't want to deal with any murder cases here." He chuckled, scratching the side of his head. "I wouldn't even know what to do with a criminal here, or where to put them after the guilty verdict is passed down. You don't have a jail system here, do you?"
When asked if he had a mate, Phoenix's blue eyes widened, and he visibly flinched as if a particularly tender spot had been struck. He gritted his teeth for a few moments, initially not saying anything, seeming quite pained. Thinking about past relationships was like aggravating an old injury. He had bad experiences in the past, but didn't think it proper to explain the details to this young lad.
"I, ah..." He began finally, stuttering. "Mate? N-no, not me... I had a girlfriend once, a while ago, but well... it didn't work out." He bit his lower lip.

He watched Phoenix, and then his deep green gaze drifted past the adult, thinking. Murder...jail...criminals...i know these words his mind flickered and reeled. He was young yes, but very perceptive and had a great mind. "One of my friends was murdered" he said in a chipper tone "He has nightmares about it, and doesnt like to talk about it, but you can tell its still a sensitive subject" another series of nods. He shifted the weight on his paws, teetering back and forth "Never known anyone to go to jail though...i dont think we have one actually. I remember hearing a story about my grandfather having to be detained by a magical spell because he kind of...tried to kill someone" he wrinkled his nose. Whisper had over-heard the story being told to another family member, but he didnt hear it all luckily.
Single eh? Whisper wasnt all that surprised, this adult seemed easily perturbed "Its ok, my aunt and guardian are still single" he said nodding his head. Maybe this guy would get along with Cera, then they could not be single anymore. Altho he doubted anyone would want to stay with Cera for longer then neccessary.

Phoenix seemed sad as the younger Kitsusagi described his friend's story. He was about to comment on this, until something in the statement struck him as being rather odd.
"Wait, one of your friends was murdered, and he has nightmares about it?" He blinked, confusion returning to him once again. "How does he have nightmares about it if he's d-... well, been murdered?"
"There's the mention of magic again... one day, I am going to have to see this for myself..." Phoenix thought to himself as he shook his head. "I didn't know that you could detain somebody like that. That's certainly something valuable to remember."
"Hah hah..." He grinned sheepishly, giving a nervous chuckle as he scratched the side of his head, pulling at a couple of his hair-spikes absentmindedly. "Nothing wrong with being single. I er, I'm not really looking for anyone right now. I think I'm probably always going to be single."
Why was he telling this unfamilar youth this information? Not even he really knew. "Oh well," He supposed, "No real harm in it, I guess."

Whisper nodded, and looked at Phoenix as though he were a bit...slow on the uptake. "Yes, he came back....something about getting a second chance to right the wrongs that were done" he shrugged and began playing with a butterfly that had perched on a nearby flower.
"You can use magic to do all sorts of things!" he said excitedly, startling the butterfly, but he seemed not to notice "Its amazing what it can do...My grandpa says my blood is too diluted to have strong abilities..at best i could just do little tricks maybe." he said with a brief frown, which disappeared quickly. "I've seen some of the things my great grandpa can do, its awesome" more head bobbing.
He waved a dismissive paw "Nonsense, everyone needs someone eventually. It can get pretty lonely around here". No wonder his grandpa said he was perceptive.
