Ok, so I was thinking about making an RP whos plot was put forward by a mysterious, masked sage who only talked in song lyrics. For example: this is a possible beginning. Your character is visited in a dream by the sage and he sings the song, while visions flash in your character's head about their possible future.

I don't want to reveal any other song lyrics I might use because you probably don't know the songs and I don't want to ruin the experience if it all works out.
What do you guys think?

Actually, legaia is a bad RP, simply because it would be WAY TOO HARD for me to do, so scratch the legaia idea.

Right now I just want to know if you think the song lyrics thing would be a neat idea. If enough people like it, I'm going to develop the entire thing--storyline, battle and magic system, etc--offline and submit it when it's in the final draft: player revision.

I don't know enough about it to have anything to scratch, but you know, this doesn't have to be a whole RP, you could use the concept as the drive that makes a character in some RP open/world RP go on a quest or journey or what have you. Though it does sound like a good concept for an RP theres a lot of blank space that you would have to fill in to make it work.

Nah, I'd name it Fly by Night, after the Rush song that will be the start of the RP. And trust me, I'd make a campaign, a setting, everything. I'd fill the empty spaces.

Then Yoshimi might be a cop in modern/future society, or any violent career in ye olde times, hunter maybe

Ah, i see so you would put down lyrics to a song and that would set what peoples goal is throughout that chapter. Is that right? If so it would be interesting.

This isn't the entire song, but it's all that I need of it. The rest of the song is when the man reaches Xanadu, lives there for 1000 years, and decided to leave, but it won't help me with the story.
This is probably going to be the final objective.

this sounds interesting, but it needs some work. For example, why are you going on the quest in the first place? do any of the charecters know each other? etc. I love the idea though. Reminds me of one of my old ones for no reason, Myistary and might, Magic and misiry. It died before we finished the first page. T~T

Like I said, I'm just throwing around the idea of a plot set forward by song lyrics. If you guys like the idea (if I get at least 10 yes votes), then I'm going to develop a storyline, setting, history, races, classes, magic system, combat system, everything offline. I can assure you, I will figure out why all the characters are where they are.
